D raw ing on Bakhtin s ideology of dialogism , the author argues that intercultural dialogicality is at the core of EFL / ESL
teaching and learning, and the recognition of such dynam ic force in the English classroom is essential for successful learning and
teaching of the target linguaculture. Additionally, it argues that intercultural interaction is to be taken both as the pedagogical
ideology and the p ractical app roach of classroom activities.
