GRAND RE-OPENING OF LAFLAMMES GRANVILLE STORE AND THE ADDITION OF AMERICAS MATTRESS GALLERIES Continuous improvement to its stores coupled with quality customer service seems to be the winning formula for LaFlammes, Inc. these days. While renovations continue on schedule for LaFlammes new Bennington, VT location, owner Christopher LaFlamme, Jr. is pleased to announce the Grand Re-Opening of the Granville store (9140 Route 22) and the opening of Americas Mattress galleries in both the Granville and Whitehall (192 Broadway Route 4) stores. The renovations will be completed in mid-May and the celebration will take place from May 17 through May 29, 2012. Along with the outstanding brand names customers expect to find at all the LaFlammes locations, the addition of new store-withina-store Americas Mattress galleries in both Whitehall and Granville significantly expands the companys mattress offerings. Specifically designed to enhance and simplify the customers purchasing experience, the Americas Mattress galleries within the LaFlammes locations have distinct colors, knowledgeable sales staff, and a great selection of mattresses for viewing and testing. Americas Mattress includes their own brand as well as the iComfort, Perfect Sleeper, and Paula Deen Home lines, all manufactured by Serta. Americas Mattress gives us the ability to offer something special to our friends and family in the area that we were not able to offer before, stated Christopher LaFlamme, Jr. In celebration of this new partnership, LaFlammes will be offering a three-year, no interest plan throughout the re-opening period. While three-years, no interest is a common offer for other furniture retailers in the area, no other local stores will offer the same financing for mattresses, appliances, electronics, and flooring all under one roof, LaFlamme said. The celebration kick off with up to 50% off merchandise storewide and the three-year, 0% interest plan; these in-store specials will be offered at all three LaFlammes locations in Washington County throughout the re-opening period (May 17-29). The celebration will feature tent sales in Granville on May 19, Whitehall on May 26, and again in Granville on Memorial Day, May 28, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 pm. For additional information on the Grand Re-Opening, call the Granville store at (518) 642-9155 or the Whitehall store at (518) 499-2513.

The Stovery - Home of Soothing Fires TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN REGARDING EASTSIDE METALS RECYCLING CORP: Paul Tymchyn called me the other day. He had been passing through Cambridge on his way home from a holiday and noticed that our posts metals bin was overflowing with scrap. He wanted to know if I was OK because I hadnt called to have the bin switched out. Paul is a great guy and this is an example of our working relationship with Eastside Scrap Metals. I am writing this letter to introduce Paul and Eastside to all, especially American Legion Posts, and to tell you about our successful and profitable relationship. We first met two years ago when Paul contacted area posts to consider an idea he had which might work for us and for Eastside. That program evolved into a situation whereby Eastside would leave a large bin on our property and we would find a way to fill it with mixed scrap metals...old kitchen appliances, water heaters, farm scrap, you name it...then they swap out the bin and send us a check. These checks have allowed us to add to the benefits programs throughout the community. Our Captain Maxson Post 634, like most service organizations, is managed by only a few active members so we have operated our liaison in a fairly passive mode. We got the word out by a single newspaper ad and by word of mouth and the community has caught on. It turns out that having a place to get rid of scrap metal is a real community service and area residents take pride in supporting their American Legion, which essentially turns their useless junk into community service. It supports our scholarship program as well as other charitable offerings. It is found money for us at very little effort...one only needs to find a suitable location for the collection bin. How quickly it is filled depends on how much effort one puts into it. Our post has been swapping out containers approximately once a month without putting much effort into the process. As Washington County Commander of the American Legion I encourage other posts to start this program; and Hudson Falls has met with similar success. On top of this, Eastside was so impressed with the success of our operation that they provided a $500.00 scholarship to a graduating senior from Cambridge Central School. Eastside is interested in supporting our communities. They are easy to work with and I wholeheartedly suggest that you give Paul Tymchyn an opportunity to speak to your organization. Our relationship with Paul and Eastside has benefitted our post and our community. No one loses. Please feel free to call me if you want further information at 518-677-2980.
