Note seasonal variations in sales and overheads, such as heating and


lighting in winter.
Ensure drawings are realistic and cover your survival income needs.
There may be a delay between sales and income, ie. sales in January
may not be paid for until March.
(Remember cash in the hand is more favorable than delayed payment
terms, especially when you first start trading.)
Do not over-estimate stock levels. Be realistic.
Some costs can be spread over a 12 month period and paid monthly or
quarterly.
Note that some grant period commencement dates may vary, such as
BCYF grants which are not payable until the 7th month. In some instances
banks and other financial institutions may be persuaded to allow a
repayment holiday of several weeks.
