In a healthy society, economy always follows ecology, and education precedes the both. -Ken Carey, VISION If you dont appreciate what you have, you wont get what you want. -Mequon Apache Principle The clearest path into the Universe is though a forest wilderness. -John Muir What is Spiritual Warrior Training?

A warrior defends what is beautiful; a warrior defends Creation and its light; a warrior defends what the community cherishes; a warrior assists the community to survive.

A warrior's heart must be strong but also creative; it must be connected to the whole; it must know quiet and solitude as well as business and engagement. It must be familiar with nothingness and it must have tasted joy. It must know service as well as sacrifice. In short, it must know spirit.

Spirit

"Spirit is an area of growth most of us set aside, half hoping the day will come when some soul- stretching peak experience will lift us out of our ordinary consciousness for a glimpse of the sacred and eternal. But we have to prepare our consciousness for taking such a path. We need to change the way we measure time and to relax our insistence on control... Instead of focusing on the time running out, it should be a daily exercise... to mark the moment. The present never ages. Each moment is like a snowflake, unique, unspoiled, unrepeatable, and can be appreciated in its surprisingness... If every day is an awakening, you will never grow old. You will just keep growing. Gail Sheehy, New Passages

Authors Note

This Manual is being written under duress, during a time of great turmoil and civil unrest. The populace is awakening to both their long-term unconscious enslavement, exploitation, oppression, impoverishment and despair along with realization that there is actually a Creator Being overseeing it all. What a paradox! What a challenge. What an opportunity. Some call the Creator Mother Nature. Some call him God or Allah. Others call It Buddha. Whatever name you give to the Source, if there is such a being, than this document is for You. Aho. If you believe in nothing, good. Perhaps this manual will encourage you to continue relying only upon your experience. I wrote this manual for myself to remember what is important. Yet, He who lives for himself alone, does not live. -said someone who knew. So, I am publishing this for you. This is a gift to you and others who may benefit from it. This is for the Earth and all her creatures and any and all beings everywhere. In the best and worst of times I have called, yelled, or whispered to the Universe for help. Once I learned and was able to hear, I heard one simple answer to my many complex and dramatic questions and pleas for assistance. The answer was always the same. It came clear and subtle yet very, very powerful and effective. Indeed, Ask and ye shall receive. The answer was one word. I understood it. I understood why it is this simple. It has everything to do with Love, self-love, love for life and love for others. The one-word answer to all my most intense calls for help from the Universe in the best and worst of times was simply, Breathe. Oh yeah. I responded, of course. Both self and soul know breathing is key. I always feel much better by giving any sort of conscious attention to my breathing. The challenge is to do it. Conscious breathing is a form of action! It is a form of doing. It is a way to more fully be. If I am typing or talking or thinking, I am usually not breathing and my body is actually dying. Along with my death goes the opportunity for my Soul, World, Universe and Humanity to benefit from the embodiment of the Life Force in this human form. Humans represent the cutting-edge of the Universe to know itself and to experience these sensual realms of sight, sound, smell, taste, touch and feel. The question is, Is there really a God, Allah, Sugmad, Mother-Father Creator Conscious being or not? I say believe in nothing until you have direct experience with it. And or relay upon intuition and the still, small inner voice to guide you in all things. This manual is being published now in the expectation that it will help liberate others and myself from the prisons of our minds. Such is the space and state of the war-mongerers and so-called Intellectual Elite, also known as the Illuminati, the Illumined Ones. And they are bright. Brighter the light, darker the shadow. -MQP

The task at hand and thus the title of this Manual, Task Force Delta is engaging the life force at a delta core level. This means God Consciousness. It begins with resonating at the frequency of the Earth, which used to be 7.5 Htz. Some say it is speeding up to 9 Htz. Sure seems to be. Breathing will help you prevent panic. Breathing will heal you, and it will liberate you. Breathing is key for manifesting what you desire. Breathing is a form of self-love and a demonstration of awareness, understanding and respect of the life-force. Each person has a conscious choice of whether to breathe or not. Consciously synchronizing the duration of the exhale and inhale automatically synchronizes left and right brain hemispherers. It also balances yin/yang polarities in the body allowing self, source and soul to be as One. Breathing is the foundation. The only thing more important than breath is love itself. In addition to Huna Kupua below and the Four Agreements, the Golden Rule and a few other delightful tidbits of wisdom from around the world, there are a few specific techniques that I want to make sure to remember and practice often. They include Deepak Chopras two proven methods for being able to experience Bliss, Freedom and Infinite Creativity any time you wish. One is by communing with Nature. This often requires getting off the beaten path or staying overnight in the wild. The beaten path is for the beaten man. -Native wisdom The other way is through a combination of silence, meditation and non-judgment. It takes practice but this is so attainable. Imagine being able to tap directly in to bliss, freedom and unlimited creativity. For that reason, it is a priority for KU to ensure that everyone has adequate quite time for silence and meditation. We can all help each other when it comes to not judging. We can remind each other to just enjoy what is without having to label it good or bad. When I do find myself judging someone or something, I can simply let it go, forgive myself and them and begin giving attention to where I prefer instead of where I was pulled or pushed.

Huna Kupua The Eight Hawaiian Principles also known as "Kahuna Magick"

The basic elements of Huna are these: 1. ike- The world is what you think it is. 2. kalo- There are no limits. 3. makia- Energy Flows where attention goes. 4. manua- Now is the moment of power. 5. manawa- All power comes from within. 6. aloha- To love is to be happy with (someone or something). 7. pono- Effectiveness is the measure of truth. 8. mahalo nui loa- Thank you from the heart.

Huna is a Hawaiian word meaning "secret," but it also refers to the esoteric wisdom of Polynesia. Kupua is another Hawaiian word and it refers to a specialized healer who works with the powers of the mind and the forces of nature. In that respect it is very similar to the Siberian Tungusic word "shaman." The understanding of Huna described here comes from the kupua tradition of the Kahili family from the island of Kauai, through Serge Kahili King, who was adopted as the grandson of Joseph Kahili and trained in his tradition . The Three Selves (or Four)- Another set of assumptions used in Huna is that human behavior and experience can be explained and changed through the interaction of three (sometimes four) selves, aspects or functions: 1. The High Self (Kane, Aumakua), inspires. 2. The Conscious Self (Lono) imagines. 3. The Subconscious Self (Ku) remembers. 4. The Core Self (Kanaloa) wills. The Four Levels of Reality- A third set of guidelines coming from the kupua tradition divides all experience into four levels or frameworks of beliefs about reality which can be summarized as follows: 1. Everything is objective (Scientific reality). 2. Everything is subjective (Psychic reality). 3. Everything is symbolic (Shamanic reality). 4. Everything is holistic (Mystical reality). The kupua (Hawaiian shaman) learns to move in and out of these realities in order to change experience more effectively. The Four Agreements

by don Miguel Ruiz

1. Be Impeccable With Your Word Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love. 2. Don't Take Anything Personally Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering. 3. Don't Make Assumptions Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life. 4. Always Do Your Best Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.

The Invitation by Oriah Mountain Dreamer, Indian Elder

"It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing. It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive. It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain! I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it. I want to know if you can be with JOY, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, be realistic, or to remember the limitations of being human. It doesn't interest me if the story you're telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. I want to know if you can be faithful and therefore trustworthy. I want to know if you can see beauty even when it is not pretty every day, and if you can source your life from ITS presence. I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of a lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, "YES!" It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after a night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done for the children. It doesn't interest me who you are, how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back. It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself, and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments."

The Mystery

Nobody, not mom or dad or grandmother or grandfather, or big sister or big brother or teachers or doctors or soldiers or reverends or athletes or lawyers or TV stars or any people who are working or any people who are playing, not even the President, not even a king or a queen, not even people who love each other, know what a single thing is. It is a great and wonderful mystery to all of us that anything is or that we are. And whether somebody says 'I don't know how anything came to be' or 'God made everything'." They are simply pointing to feeling of the mystery- of how everything is but nobody knows what it really is or how it came to be. As long as we go on feeling this mystery, we feel free and full and happy and we feel and act free and full and happy to others. This is the secret of being happy from the time you are small until the time you are old. If you will remember everyday to feel the mystery and if you will remember to feel that you are more than what you look like, and if you will remember to be the mystery itself, then you will be happy, everyday. And all kinds of wonderful happenings will come up for you. You will feel happy and you will always help and love others- even those who are having trouble feeling happy- and are even trying to make you forget the mystery. Someday you may meet someone who has felt the mystery really strong for a long time. So that person feels the mystery all the time and is always happy. Such a person is the best person to learn from about happiness and life and love. I hope you will remember to feel the mystery everyday as long as you are awake forever. The best thing to tell anybody is to remember to feel this. I have been doing this for a long time and it is the best and most important feeling of all. I am very happy I can tell you this. Maybe someday we will meet face to face, maybe. Anyway, at least you and I will always know that at least one other person somewhere is remembering and feeling and loving the mystery right now. from The Book called, "What to Remember to be Happy," by Da Free John.

Note: This outline is structured in order of priority depending upon geographic location, climate, season of the year and other factors. In some cases there is a lot of detailed information for the reader. In other cases, there is only a single concept conveyed in the form of a word, which an entire encyclopedia may be written about. The objective is for this outline and the entire manual to be continuously improved upon, added to, streamlined, and made more available to staff, students and people worldwide. Enjoy. And please, contact me with your suggestions for improvement. Anything that I use you will receive credit for and perhaps a complimentary manual from the next publishing.

This manual begins with the Mission & Vision Statement followed by a basic outline of the 21 Principles of Sustainable Living. These were developed through trial and error by my time and experience with numerous conventional and non-conventional Rangers for the Earth Battalion and a few key centers for education and ecology around the world. The philosophies and wisdom published here are for all ages and skill levels. My intention is for you to experience an ever-deepening connection and symbiosis with spirit, self, nature, and the world. These are among the best techniques, wisdom, methods and guidelines I have discovered so far for personal, practical use and for profound spiritual enlightenment. Your feedback is integral to the continuous improvement of both the training and the manuals. One example of how your feedback will help is deciding which of the many outline elements you want to know more about and/or begin training in. An entire encyclopedia can be written about each element and sub-elements. I wanted to make sure to at least list the key topics so they may be expanded upon later. The goal is to provide you with basic and advanced instruction in areas that you are most interested in. The first outline element covered is number 21 of the 21 Principles of Sustainable Living. This is known as "The Mystery" and if you really get it then there is no need to read further. I placed it first as a way of honoring the wisdom, "Begin with the end in mind." Stephen Covey

21 Principles of Sustainable Living Outline Detail

1.0 Basic & Advanced Survival- for survival and sustainable living in virtually all climates on earth including urban, remote and wilderness environments. Survival training is a great catalyst for learning, growth and substantial development on all levels: body, mind, heart and soul. The following are in order of priority for Alaska conditions and many other regions of Earth. 1.1 Calm- first and foremost is calm because panic can and has killed people instantly. As soon as you lose your calm things can go from bad to worse. Cultivate a sense of calm. Breathe. Consciously tell yourself to be calm and to breathe. Call upon your highest source by whatever name for assistance if it gets real bad or even if everything is going great. Practice meditation and develop simple yet comprehensive physical routines that keep all body parts tuned-up. Write a list of all the things that are most important to you. A state of calm depends upon your ability to know and achieve these basic desires as well as ensure that you have shelter, food, water, a source of warmth, something to do and someone to share it with- even if its a volleyball with a face painted on it. There are many other ways to get calm, stay calm and cultivate ever deepening states of calm. This results in an automatic deeper connection with spirit, self and nature. No religious beliefs required. 1.2 Shelter- is the second most important thing whether it be Alaska or Hawaii. The average person can only go 24 hrs without comfort or calm. Try going more than a day without any shelter. No house, no tent. No sleeping bag. No overhang. Nothing. You and me and others can only handle that about 24 hours unless you're made of something stronger or have incredible skill. Even so, cultivate the ability to find or build shelter. In either case, give shelter attention as a way to stay or get calm in both the best and worst of times. Beautify your shelter and make it more functional. When lost or camping, look for existing shelters, both wild and human-made. It's so great not having to carry a tent. You can also build a debris hut or tipi. Even those that are not water or weather-proof, still provide a sense of calm and heat Absence of shelter leads to a loss of calm which can lead to "dying of exposure". Dying of exposure is not freezing to death or even hypothermia. It is dying from exposure to the elements, elements that you are not used to. 1.3 Warmth- Even in Hawaii it is challenging to stay warm. It has sometimes been even more challenging than in the winter in Alaska. This is true during a dry winter when I can readily build a fire and sleep next to it without any blanket, sleeping bag or ground pad. Whereas, on several of the Hawaiian Islands, I was miserably cold due to incessant rain and wind with no heat source. Wood was too wet to burn, so I stayed wet and cold. After a very short time I felt like I was in extreme survival mode. I may not have died of hypothermia, but I was

starting to feel panic. Just getting moving helped, but eventually I got tired and hungry. There are many Hawaiian homes that do not have external sources of heat. Nor do they make bonfires. But they do have shelter and a way to change clothes. Another consideration of warmth, especially in the Arctic, is nutrition- both types of food and methods of eating. For maximum warmth, chew your food until liquification (fletcherizing) before swallowing it. Once I ate too fast and immediately went into advanced hypothermia and started to get frostbite on my fingers. Study and apply nutrition, breathing, and body dynamics for maximum warmth. 1.4 Water- drink either distilled or stream water. Reverse osmosis is good too along with UV. I prefer stream water. More than twenty years I have been drinking out of Alaska streams, Minnesota's lakes and Hawaii's waterways. Only once did I get sick in 1982 after drinking from a still pool in the mountains. Every animal in the area must have used it for a drinking hole and probably for dropping their scat there too. It just looked so clear and pure. Six weeks later, which is about the gestation period of Geardia (or Giardiasis), also known as "Beaver Fever", I had a bad bout with diarrhea for part of a day and some serious cramps and stabbing pains. But that was it. My intuition tells me that this was my reintroduction into natural world, that after a whole lifetime of killing off the natural bacteria in my intestines by drinking chemicalized tap water, I was overly susceptible. So, I did not stop drinking from streams. I just made sure to only drink from water that was flowing after that. There is a science to the purity of stream water and a natural filtration process that occurs when shallow water is flowing swiftly over gravel at a ten-percent grade. These conditions cause a very effective filtration every ten feet. That's how a stream is able to clear itself so quickly after a flood or storm. Gravity plays a major role, so does a phenomenon involving how when a microbe such as geardia or "lepto" (Leptosperosis) comes into contact with a rock, the rock absorbs the microbe and releases a mineral thus purifying the water AND adding minerals to the water that are readily absorbed by the bodys cells. As with any and all of this text, don't take my word for it. Find out for yourself. Trust your intuition and your own experience. One thing is for sure. Whether the water you are drinking is from the tap, the store, the machine or the wild, if you bless it and/or have the life force bless it, its physical properties are scientifically proven to change, to improve. This is one of the greatest phenomena of our time, that of the discovery of "Messages in Water" and other scientific studies verifying what mystics and spiritual people have long known. "Energy flows where attention goes." -Hawaiian Principle You may also apply the following Native American wisdom when determining whether it is "safe" or in the "highest good" to drink from a stream or other source by simply asking. Ask the life force (by whatever name) if it is best that you drink from it. If you do not hear an answer you can trust it is okay. If you hear a "No.", dont do it. This same simple wisdom may be applied to wild edibles, to the harvesting of anything from the nature world- such as a tree or animal, picking up a stone and taking it home, etc. 1.5 Food- For all environments the body needs three basic things: fat, carbohydrates and protein along with 93 other nutrients of substantially smaller size. These include

vitamins, minerals, amino-acids, electrolytes, and fatty-acids. The body also needs gelatin, which it is not able to produce on its own. Aloe Vera is one source. So is Bladderwrack (or Rock Flower), also known as "Popping Kelp", a form of seaweed. Several edible flowers like Hibiscus also contain a gelatinous substance. Carbos, Protein and Fat, fortunately are the bulk of the diet, and if you just make sure to feed your body these three essentials, most of your nutritional needs will be met. Then it is simply a matter of giving yourself the highest quality of each that you can. Keep in mind that a fat deficiency causes a craving for starchy foods: cake, pastries, cookies, etc. And a protein deficiency causes a craving for sweets like candy bars, chocolate, etc. Excess starches and sweets both lead to an overly acidic system which, again, leads to all kinds of common diseases: dry skin, dandruff, rashes, sores, discharges in both men and women and an overall feeling of dis-ease. Depending upon body type and geographical location you may need 15-25% Fat, 15-45% Protein, and the rest Carbohydrates like below-ground vegetables or whatever else is available. Eat whatever is put in front of you is how the Australian Aborigines do it, and that has worked well for me, especially in survival or travel modes. There are also what is known as the five perfect foods: honey, eggs, salmon, bananas, and peanuts, though I think just about any nut will do. There is also coconut, which is beginning to be recognized by the modern world as a miracle food. Then there are the green super-foods like Spirulina, Barley Grass, Wheat Grass, Kelp, Blue-green algae, etc. In any case give attention to your favorite foods. Focus on your favorite Fat, your favorite Protein and your favorite Carbohydrate to get the majority of the food and calories your body needs. The body basically requires energy and trace elements from everything else known. We are made of the same four basic elements as the trees, plants, earth, sun and stars. These are carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen. Our bodies also are made up of and require tiny amounts of every other element on the Periodic Chart (gold, silver, molybdenum, zinc, copper, etc. Pharmaceutical companies and even some so-called holistic health stores sell mineral supplements, which are basically just crushed rock and do not provide the minerals the body requires. The molecules are too large to be absorbed readily by the cells. That is why the minerals you ingest must be chelated or colloidal. I personally get most of my minerals from drinking stream water. A conference of more than 1000 physicians concluded that most diseases and natural causes of death occur from mineral deficiency. [see "Dead Doctors Dont Lie"]. There is so much misinformation out there about food. The closer to sun energy, or spirit energy your food is, the better. Imagination is probably the best and most efficient way to feed your body. Next comes the sun, then blue-green algae. Then chlorophyll. Then anything that tastes good. Tom Brown, Jr., America's most renowned survivalist and outdoorsman says that, "In North America if it tastes good, it is good." as a general guideline for wild edibles. The exception to that he says is mushrooms. Because most food is made mostly of water, the "Messages in Water" mystery can be applied to food or anything ingested. Be careful what you put in your body and know that your body can process just about any toxin if your attitude about it is positive. I never really got sick until I became health conscious.

I know a lot of health nuts that are always sick. One key to remember concerning all food is "Va-tu-tu-bene" which is Italian for "Its all good." This is a long form of "Its all God." When it doubt, pray about it, or just zap it with your personal power rendering it changed based upon your focused and heartfelt intention. If you dont believe this, and I recommend that you dont, find out for yourself. If ever you are without food and you're getting really hungry which has happened to me enough times, you can simply imagine whatever kind of food you want to eat and then imagine eating it. This helps to curb hunger. You can actually taste, touch, smell and feel the food on the imaginary level. Science has proven that ingesting things via imagination is almost as good as the real thing. I have found that sometimes it is even better. The important thing is that it works. The same goes for medicine, which I have also used extensively instead of having to pay the pharmacists. Eat what you love. Love what you eat. "Imagination is more important than knowledge." -Einstein 1.6 Activity- is vital for both survival and sustainable living. It is also integral to spiritual development and evolution. Engage in any of the 21 Principles of Sustainable Living for various forms of reliable activities. Shelter building is important. So is finding food and water, gathering wood, tending to fire. Composting, gardening, landscaping and planting and harvesting trees, plants and wild edibles are other activities. Choose an activity that is high on the list of priorities. Add to it those things, which you most want to accomplish. Do those first. Remember to breathe and be mindful of the process and subtleties of any activity. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. The following are a list of my favorite activities that I prefer to do often kayaking, canoeing, rafting, backcountry skiing, mountain climbing, rock climbing, tree-climbing, and long strolls through the rainforest. I understand that not everyone has ample opportunity to engage in these, but they may give you ideas or inspire you. This will at least serve as a reminder of what has been fun for me in the past. One of the best activities I have ever done is simply exploring the wilderness, however small. There is wilderness almost everywhere, even in big cities. The objective is to get off the beaten path and discover places to go and things to do in the wild, even if it just getting there to be still. The beaten path is for the beaten man." Native wisdom Ninety-five percent of the people in Anchorage, Alaska, for example, according to statistics, never get out of the city. The same seems true even in the town of Girdwood, Alaska where I lived for most of the last twelve years. It is probably worse in other places. I know it can be prohibitively difficult to reach "break-away velocity" from the comfort, safety and security of home, city or even a small town. So, the alternative is parks, lakeshores, coastlines, and inner-city forests or woodlands and fields. According to Alaska State Parks, "The average person travels only 700 feet down a trail." Then they

turn back and go home. Personally I have little interest in going for "walks" on concrete paths, along roadways, or even established trails, but that is better than nothing. Most people I know who care about staying active will go swimming or cross-country skiing or go to the gym. Others workout at home on the Stairmaster or Bow-flex or something else. Many are content with Yoga and now there is Pilates. And of course some people get a good workout just going to their job each day such as carpenters, roofers, fence-builders, etc. But that is not the same as a full-body work-out that adventure provides. Thats why I recommend, for myself at least, getting out into Nature once a week or more. And it seems like I need a grand adventure once a year just to stay sane. Once a month is better. But Im pretty spoiled after living my entire life as one big wilderness adventure. Mountain climbing, for example, or going on an extended hike or major expedition is many times more exerting than I am able to do even with great discipline. All-day adventures are up to twelve hours or more of exertion whereas a typical home or gym workout or walk may last twenty minutes or even a couple of hours. When it is prohibitively difficult or impossible to engage in a physical activity, such as recovering from an injury, being stuck at work, in traffic, or in jail, meditation and creative visualization are extremely valuable and satisfying. Olympic trainers and athletes have realized that when you imagine something it actually fires the same synapses as if you were actually engaged in the physical activity. That is revolutionary! And it works to stay fit, to avoid boredom and to expand the mind. It is also an activity for spiritual enlightenment. Furthermore, "Whatever you give attention grows." So if you there is a particular activity you really want to do, then start by imagining it. However, meditation and visualization are not easy and there are a lot of distractions. They also usually require training. Even then it is unlikely that I will sit in meditation for very long. Five minutes is good. Twenty minutes is better. I have even worked my way up to meditating for an hour everyday and eventually two hours. But then my body gets sedentary, stiff or sore. Thats one of the reasons I enjoy the following activities so much. If I am unable to embark upon a grand adventure then landscaping, gardening, shoveling, raking or other type of home-based activity will do. Tree-climbing is a favorite and so is martial arts, particularly sparring. Wrestling or grappling is a real workout. "Anything worth doing is worth doing well." -old saying Other activities that are thoroughly enjoyable for me that are not necessarily physical include playing music, talking-story, filming and editing, graphic arts, drawing, writing, and just about anything creative. 1.7 Companionship- is a little understood part of survival and sustainable living. It is certainly an important part of career development and thriving in a healthy society. Often when traveling alone, it has been very helpful to accept that other creatures have intelligence, awareness and the ability to communicate with me. Otherwise it can get pretty lonely. Excessive loneliness causes anxiety and eventually panic.

"You are never alone." some say Yet I have felt very alone. I understand that there is an intelligent life force and I have had to be alone many times in order to learn this. Now I accept it when I am alone and it helps. I prefer to have the option at any given time to either be alone or with those I love, like a brother or a sweetheart, or a friend, family member or even a stranger... someone to share the beauty and rapture of the wilderness. The more time I spend in the wilderness the more Nature herself becomes a companion, yet I still appreciate and sometimes prefer to have a companion. A dog, of course, is a good companion and there have been more than one occasion where they saved my life. 2.0 Sustainable Living 2.1 Body- Breathe. Move. Stay active. Know that your thoughts and attitude are reflected in your body. Science and medicine have proven that your body regenerates itself completely on a regular basis. Feed your body the food that it wants. Give attention to "Body Dynamics" which includes specific beneficial ways of running, sitting, standing, lying prone, stretching, climbing, jumping, landing, rolling, grappling, martial arts, yoga and other forms of fitness. Visualize how you want your body to look. For advanced function of the body, perform Kaegles (also known as the anal lock) that is flexing the muscle that stops you from going pee and is also used at the end of a bowl movement. This has numerous benefits for internal and external applications including bowl health and improved sexual performance. 2.2 Heart- love, feeling, compassion, caring, healing, projecting (Reiki), Forgiveness Technique, "I love you. I support you. God Bless You." story and technique 2.3 Mind- "Mind is everything. And mind is the slayer of the real." -said Snowleopard 2.4 Soul- "A soul is the seed atom of the Creator." -says Snowleopard. He also said that most souls have three or four missions they came into this life to accomplish. From my experience, when I give these soul missions attention, everything goes well and I am happy and fulfilled on all levels. If I neglect to give my soul missions attention everything seems to go haywire, become chaotic, destructive or worse like boring, complacent or apathetic. 2.5 Money- The billionaire who started MasterCard wrote a book called "Seven Laws of Money". The first law of money is "Do what you love and the money will follow". The second law of money is "Keep track of every penny, unless you make less than $200 per week in which case, keep track of every nickel." The third law of money is that "Money is a dream." The fourth law of money is that "Money is a nightmare." Money is the second most powerful thing in the world, but it is not THE most powerful thing. Spirit or Love or life itself is obviously more important. Snowleopard taught us that "There are two things necessary for success in life, Spirit and Cash." Whether or not you have the material things you need is at its base determined by

spirit, nature and attitude along with the Law of Attraction. 2.6 Relationship- this means how you relate to the outside world, to yourself, to Nature, and the Spirit-world. "Give that which you seek, for as you give you shall receive." And as you receive, give... this is all part of the "Law of Amra" similar to the Golden Rule. 2.7 Oneness- is the ultimate achievement of successful survival and the beginning and end of holistic living and sustainable development of body, mind, heart and soul. 3.0 Career Development- involves instructor training and hands-on experience in education and ecology including multi-media production, counseling, healing arts, martial arts, nutrition, meditation and all facets of running a simple, sustainable, holistic base camp or facility in Alaska, Hawaii or anywhere on Earth. Vision Quests are part of solo journeys and involve getting of the beaten path and immersing in Nature for the express purpose of greater connection: awareness and development with spirit, self and nature. 3.1.4 Inner Planes Travel- involves learning how to fly like in a dream except in the waking state. Inner Planes Travel includes O.B.E. "Out of Body Experience" which simply put is being aware of your soul's exploration to other places, dimensions and realities. This is an infinite realm of discovery and capability in terms of creativity, co-creation, and pure enjoyment of anything imaginable. Way of Transformation

The man who, being really on the Way, falls upon hard times in the world will not, as a consequence, turn to that friend who offers him refuge and comfort and encourages his old self to survive. Rather, he will seek out someone who will faithfully and inexorably help him to risk himself, so that he may endure the suffering and pass courageously through it, thus making of it a "raft that leads to the far shore." Only to the extent that man exposes himself over and over again to annihilation, can that which is indestructible arise within him. In this lies the dignity of daring. Thus, the aim of (spiritual) practice is not to develop an attitude, which allows a man to acquire a state of harmony and peace wherein nothing can ever trouble him. On the contrary, practice should teach him to let himself be assaulted, perturbed, moved, insulted, broken and battered - that is to say, it should enable him to dare to let go his futile hankering after harmony, surcease from pain, and a comfortable life in order that he may discover, in doing battle with the forces that oppose him, that which awaits him beyond the world of opposites. The first necessity is that we should have the courage to face life, and to encounter all that is most perilous in the world. When this is possible, meditation itself becomes the means by which we accept and welcome the demons, which arise from the unconscious, a process very different from the practice of concentration on some object as a protection against such forces. Only if we venture repeatedly through zones of annihilation can our contact with Divine Being, which is beyond annihilation, become firm and stable. The more a man learns whole-heartedly to confront the world that threatens him with isolation, the more are the depths of the Ground of Being revealed and the possibilities of New Life and Becoming opened. by Karlfreid Gras von Durkheim

Commitment

"Until there is commitment there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one commits one's self then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issue from the decision, raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. I have learned a deep respect of one of Goethe's couplets: 'Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magick in it. W.H. Murray in the Scottish Himalayan Expedition

Imagine

"If you advance confidently in the direction of your dreams, and endeavor to live the life which you have imagined, you will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. You will pass an invisible boundary; new and more liberal laws will begin to establish themselves around and within you; and you will live with the license of a higher order of beings. In proportion as you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex... If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them. ...such is the character of that morrow which mere lapse of time can never make to dawn. Henry David Thoreau

Let Your Light Shine

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous. Actually, who are you not to be. You are a child of god. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. You are born to make manifest the glory of god that is within us. It is not in just some of us. It's in everyone. And when we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Mary Ann Williamson (spoken around the world by Nelson Mandela)

Psalm 23

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul. He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

Note: even though I pray now to a female aspect of Creation, "Mother Nature", or Akua, the Goddess, the 23rd Psalm still works. The intention and the feeling of calm it evokes is even more powerful than the words. This was given to me to memorize by Snowleopard as a strategic measure to handle even the darkest of forces and situations. I didnt believe it of course, but the day came when I had to use it. Fortunately I had practiced. Now I sing it to myself to grock it at an even deeper level. A crisis is no time to being trying to remember things. Practice, practice, practice until it becomes habit. Or... just trust as a child.

Health Is Free

"Health is free. The true cost of health care is a few moments of your time to develop the right attitude about your body. You create you health or your dis-ease, and you don't need anyone to tell you whether you are healthy. First of all, when you are in touch with your body- when you take a shower or wash, you can feel and know your level of well-being- you know if you are in a state of health or not. You may choose to worry and distrust your body. If you worry about your health, then you will create something. Your body follows the images you instigate. If you invest in worry about what you might catch, or how cancer might be growing or whether you have AIDS, or diphtheria, or tuberculosis or whatever you wish to worry about, the probabilities are that if you don't already have something, you will create and it go from there. If you know you are healthy, you are. It is quite simple. Fear is the killer. We remind you that your power ends where your fear begins. If you fear something, it is as if you put a sign up over your head and say, "Welcome. I am waiting for you." The purpose of fear is to save your life, to catapult you into the now in order to take action. Often it serves to direct you away from that which is dangerous and toward the very essence of your vital being. However, when you hold onto fear as a lifestyle, and when you broadcast fear of life, you shut down your body and kill your vital life force. This creates stress, ill health and aging. Your thoughts create your reality. Part of the initiation of consciousness is to move through toxicity, and your body needs to go through more preparation and purification of what would be called intent and courage. When you dwell in fear, you dispel your own power. So, in order to meet something that is very unfamiliar to your logical mind, you must maintain clarity of intent and a tremendous sense of courage, safety and nonchalance. Everything that keeps you from achieving something is merely an idea. Over the next twenty years- the period everyone is buying the big tickets for, front row seats here in Earth's amphitheater, many changes will take place. Earth: Pleiadian Keys to the Living Library (pg. 129 & 130) paragraph 2-4/ see also pg 131)

Look Up... See Clearly Again

"I assure you who may yet feel trapped in historical situations that there is no human force, no agency, no influence whatsoever that can keep you from discovering the current of my consciousness within you, once you are aware of its existence and choose to look for it. My thoughts flow into your consciousness in each moment, with each breath. On the current of your awareness they enter. Lift your eyes from conditioned interpretations, look up, see clearly again. Ken Carey Starseed: 3rd Millenium quoting the Creator

This Seasons Children

Yours is the story of a flower pushing its way gradually upward through the snows of materialism until it breaks through the surface crust of rigid tradition and emerges into the light of a new season. It has been hard for you of individual consciousness during this human winter, but you come from hardy stock. And the warming you now feel is no illusion. You see the sun arch higher in the heavens, higher than it has ever been before. You sense the changes in the air and know an age is turning. The snows of historys many perceptual crystallizations have all but melted away, while beneath them you have been moving ever close to the light of this new day. What is this tradition of bending low? The snows are neither so heavy nor as lasting as when these cultural habits were fashioned. The age of ice is swiftly passing. You need not live as if you still carried the weight history, so grave, so serious. Come. Enter the consciousness of the stars. Relax you heavy conceptions, the blocks and bricks that form history s icy walls. There are lands outside these walls, beyond these cultural corridors that narrow your awareness of self and world. You see more clearly now than those who formed these solemn views in the coldest hours of the night. The world has been thawing for some time. A new awareness crackles behind the eyes of children in Beijing and Adelaide, in Kiev and Tokyo, in Chicago, Sao Paulo, and Captetown. A new generation of little flowers rises through the melting snows of former centuries. They lift their heads now. Like crocuses, tulips, daffodils, blooming to speak to their elders of a better way. You who are the parents of this new generation, listen to what this seasons children have to say. They do not reject you or the principles that have guided your lives. But they know they must do what you have not yet done. Their destiny is to complete the achievements begun. Be gentle with them, these literal flowers of your love. Do not crush them beneath the ceilings of windowless schools that bury them in facts they cannot understand without the natural light of spirit. Let them move beyond the established corridors of historical ways, in the sunlight and open air of new meaning and new experience. Use your centers of learning, your school systems, to assist them in doing what no human generation has ever before done: Help them to blossom in to all they can be- sure of themselves, confident in the wisdom, the life that lives within them. Give your children the tools of your culture as you would give paint and canvas to an artist. But do not tell them what to draw. Help them learn to express themselves in terms meaningful to them and to those in the world around them. Offer them skills to help express themselves more fully. The self this generation expresses in uninhibited creativity is the Great Self, which seeks birth into your world. As you help your children to better express themselves, do not make them feel that they are incomplete without your training, that they are partial beings in need of years of academic processing to be whole or satisfied with themselves. If you give them this impression, you make them cripples, with a vested interest in those very illusionary self-images that are even now melting in the warmer winds of loves approaching season.

Help your children; do not handicap them and make it more difficult for them to adapt to these times of accelerating change. These next two decades will see the most rapid period of change any human civilization has ever known. To ride the currents of that great change, young and old alike will require all their native wit and sensibilities. If you care about the young people who will reach adulthood in the 1990s and in the first decade of the twenty-first century- the children who are in your schools todayshare with them all the knowledge you will, but preserve their inherent confidence in themselves, for this is how they show their confidence in God. A childs level of confidence is a major factor in determining his or her future success. The preservation of a childs native esteem is far more important than the acquisition of technical skills. Many of these little ones have not forgotten the Great Being who shines through the filter of their individuality. Your role is to help them grow in such a way that they do not forget. Assist the incarnation of the eternal spirits who dance above their lives. When you see first their beauty and perfection, when you affirm their eternal reality of being, when you see it in their eyes, you cannot help but draw it forth. Bring out the best in them and in all whom you encounter. Give no energy to the fictions of those who do not know their immortality, but see instead the spirit who seeks to incarnate there, within that individuality. Acknowledge that Being. Relate to it. Draw it forth. Help another dimension of eternity slip quietly into your times. Help this new generation to awaken. Ken Carey, Starseed, Third Millenium

Galaxies Around Us Go Unexplored by Tom Brown, Jr.

Exciting and fulfilling as our lives may be, most of us are cut off from our natural surroundings. We live in heated houses, drive automobiles on asphalt highways, work in air-conditioned buildings, and eat processed foods. In the course of a normal day, we encounter a barrage of unnatural sights and sounds- traffic lights, sirens, jackhammers, stereos, billboards, telephones, passing jets and television screens. To minimize the confusion, we often close ourselves off to the best stimuli and tolerate the worst. Moreover, we live much of our lives by the clock, catering to schedules and worries more readily than to our own inner urgings. In a world such as this, wilderness recreation has tremendous importance. Every year, millions of people flock to backyards and city parks. For many of us, this fulfills a yearning almost as basic as hunger. But the shackles of modern society are not easily thrown off. Even when removed from fast-paced environments, very few of us are able to slow down enough to appreciate the full splendor of nature. We often go to the woods burdened with so much anxiety and with senses so battered and dull that we can absorb only a fraction of the messages awaiting us beyond the asphalt and concrete. Galaxies around us go unnoticed and unexplored because we have lost our feeling of connection with the earth. Yet that connection can be reestablished- in large part simply by awakening and nourishing our innate awareness. With a few simple skills and some dedicated practice, any person can open his or her senses to the full richness of nature, regardless of what he or she seeks there.

Making Millions or Mediocrity

There was a small boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them. "Not very long," answered the Mexican. "But then, why didnt you stay out longer and catch more?" asked the American. The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family. The American asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?" I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, and take a siesta with my wife. In the evenings I go into the village to see my friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs. I have a full life." The American interrupted, "I have a MBA from Harvard and I can help you. You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat. With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers. Instead of selling your fish to a middleman, you can negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even New York City! From there you can direct your huge enterprise." "How long would that take?" asked the Mexican. "Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years," replied the American. "And after that?" "Afterwards? That's when it gets really interesting," answered the American, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start selling stocks and make millions!" "Millions? Really? And after that?" "After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with your wife, and spend your evenings drinking and playing the guitar with your friends!

The Rose Some say Love it is a river, that drowns the tender reed. Some say Love it is a razor, that leaves the Soul to bleed Some say Love, it is a hunger, an endless, aching need. I say Love, it is a flower, and You, It's only seed. It's a heart afraid of breaking, that never learns to dance. It's a dream afraid of waking, that never takes a chance. It's the one who won't be taken, that never learns to give. And it's the soul afraid of dyin' That never learns to live. When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long And you think that love is only, For the lucky and the Strong Then remember in the winter, that far the beneath bitter snows, Lies the seed that with the sun's love In the spring becomes a rose. -Amanda McBroom

Why Outdoor Education?

It is firmly believed that outdoor education with its emphasis on significant work experience for youth, and on knowledge of the out-of-doors and community living of the younger children, offers one of the highly desirable ways to accomplish conservation results needed for the preservation of the wilderness and of the nation. At the same time, it can broaden the experience range of the total educative process; vitalize the school programs, and tie youth to the democratic group in which he lives. The outdoor education program represents a natural and desirable extension of the school curriculum. It is education. Jay B. Nash, Distinguished Professor, Montclair State College and Professor Emeritus New York University In wildness is the preservation of the world. Henry David Thoreau

Why It Feels So Good in a Forest

"When the sun shines on the leafy canopy of a tree and is absorbed through photosynthesis, this causes movement in the electrical charge of the electrons. A magnetic field is also brought about when the water in trees rises. When we, with our wealth of electrons and conductive living substance, move through the electro-magnetic field of a forest, then a charging with solar electrons takes place in us. When our blood circulates, there is a movement of the electrical charge in the magnetic fields (for example, on the surface lipids of red blood corpuscles), which then causes much induction and re-induction of energy." this was emailed to me from Monica Perez-Verdia The clearest path into the Universe is through a forest wilderness. John Muir

Love is Freedom

"The purpose of a relationship is to decide what part of yourself you'd like to see "show up", not what part of another you can capture and hold. The purpose of a relationship is not to have another who might complete you, but to have another with whom you might share your completeness. Here is the paradox of all human relationships; 'you have no need for a particular other in order for you to experience fully who you are, and... without another, you are nothing...' The true test of your relationship has to do with how well you live up to your highest idea of yourself. Relationships are sacred because they provide life's grandest opportunity to create and produce the experience of your highest conceptualization of Self. See each other as sacred souls on a sacred journey of becoming, of evolving, of knowing and experiencing who you really are!" Gandalf 2002 (GW)

Dog Medicine (Loyalty)

"Dog has been considered the servant of humanity throughout history. If a person carries Dog medicine, he or she is usually serving others or humanity in some way. Here you will find the charity worker, the philanthropists, the nurse, the counselor, the minister, and the soldier. Dog was the servant-soldier that guarded the tribe's lodges from surprise attack. Dog is a medicine that embodies the loving gentleness of best friend and half-wild protector energy of territorial imperative. Like Anubis, the jackal dog protector of Egypt, Dog is a guardian. Throughout history, Dog has been the guardian of hell, as well as of ancient secrets, hidden treasures, and babies- while mothers were cooking or in the fields. Dog honors its gifts and is loyal to the trust placed in its care. In examining Dog medicine, you might find that you have fond personal memories of owning and loving Dog as a pet. The message that Dogs are trying to give you is that you m must delve deeply into your own sense of service to others. Canines are genuinely service-oriented animals, and are devoted to their owners with a sense of loyalty that supercedes how they are treated. If Dog has been yelled at or paddled, it still returns love to the person who was the source of its bad treatment. This does not come from stupidity, but rather from a deep and compassionate understanding of human shortcomings. it is as if a tolerant spirit dwells in the heart of every canine that asks only to be of service. You can also see Dogs that have had the loyalty beaten out of them. They cower and cry at the slightest look of disapproval but this is not their normal nature. Some varieties of Dogs have even been trained against their natures to be brutal and vicious. Out of a sense of service, these breeds have adopted the attack-oriented desires of their owners. They carry an altered genetic memory of what service means if they are to be approved of by their masters. Dog medicine asks you to look at how readily your sense of loyalty is countermanded by your need for approval. If you have pulled the Dog card, there are several questions you need to consider, depending on the situation about which you are asking."

Eagle Medicine (Spirit)

Eagle medicine is the power of the Great Spirit, the connection to the Divine. It is the ability to live in the realm of Spirit, and yet remain connected and balanced within the realm of Earth. Eagle soars, and is quick to observe expansiveness within the overall pattern of life. From the heights of the clouds, Eagle is close to the heavens where the Great Spirit dwells. The feathers of Eagle are considered to be the most sacred of healing tools. They have been used for centuries by Shamans to cleanse the auras of patients coming to them for healing. Within the belief systems of Native American tribes, Eagle represents a state of grace achieved through hard work, understanding, and a completion of the tests of initiation which result in the taking of one's personal power. It is only through the trial of experiencing the lows in life as well as the highs, and through the trial of trusting one's connection to the Great Spirit, that the right to use the essence of Eagle medicine is earned. Eagle is reminding you to take heart and gather your courage, for the universe is presenting you with an opportunity to soar above the mundane levels of your life. The power of recognizing this opportunity may come in the form of a spiritual test. In being astute, you may recognize the places within your soul, personality, emotions, or psyche that need bolstering or refinement. By looking at the overall tapestry, Eagle teaches you to broaden your sense of self beyond the horizon of what is presently visible. In learning to fiercely attack your personal fear of the unknown, the wings of your soul will be supported by the ever-present breezes, which are the breath of the Great Spirit. Feed your body, but more importantly feed your soul. Within the realm of Mother Earth and Father Sky, the dance that leads to flight involves the conquering of fear and the willingness to join in the adventure that you are co-creating with the Divine. If Eagle has majestically soared into your {life}, you are being put on notice to reconnect with the element of air. Air is of the mental plane, and in this instance it is of the higher mind. Wisdom comes in many strange and curious forms and is always related to the creative force of the Great Spirit. If you have been walking in the shadow of former realities, Eagle brings illumination. Eagle teaches you to look higher and to touch Grandfather Sun with your heart, to love the shadow as well as the light. See the beauty in both, and you will take flight like the Eagle. Eagle medicine is the gift we give ourselves to remind us of the freedom of the skies. Eagle asks you to give yourself permission to legalize freedom and to follow the joy your heart desires. from the Eagle of the Medicine Cards by Jamie Sams

Celestine Prophecy Nine Insights

First Insight We are discovering again that we live in a deeply mysterious world, full of sudden coincidences and synchronistic encounters that seem destined. Second Insight As more of us awaken to this mystery, we will create a completely new worldview- redefining the universe as energetic and sacred. Third Insight We will discover that everything around us, all matter consists of and stems from a divine energy that we are beginning to see and understand. Fourth Insight From this perspective, we can see that humans have always felt insecure and disconnected from this sacred source, and have tried to take energy by dominating each other. This struggle is responsible for all human conflict. Fifth Insight The only solution is to cultivate a personal reconnection with the divine, a mystical transformation that fills us with unlimited energy and love, extends our perception of beauty, and lifts us into a Higher-Self Awareness. Sixth Insight In this awareness, we can release our won pattern of controlling, and discover a specific truth, a mission, we are here to share that helps evolve humanity toward this new level of reality. Seventh Insight In pursuit of this mission, we can discover an inner intuition that shows us where to go and what to do, and if we make only positive interpretations, brings a flow of coincidences that opens the doors for our missions to unfold.

Eighth Insight When enough of us enter this evolutionary flow, always giving energy to the higher-self of everyone we meet, we will build a new culture where our bodies evolve to ever higher levels of energy and perception. Ninth Insight In this way, we participate in the long journey of evolution from the Big Bang to lifes ultimate goal: to energize our bodies, generation by generation, until we walk into a heaven we can finally see. -From the book Celestine Prophecy" by James Redfield

Forgiveness Technique

This technique is part of the non-conventional warfare training provided by Search & Rescue International, Inc. and the Alaska Airborne Rangers. It was passed down from Snowleopard to Raven during the period from 1993-1999. Regarding what anyone has done to you, no matter how much of a crime, betrayal or abandonment, no matter how serious the injury or harm, this Forgiveness Technique works wonders for being free of the plaguing thoughts from past relationships or business dealings. Like most things I have learned of an esoteric nature, I didn't see the practical value of this. Only through trial and error and direct personal experience did I come to respect and appreciate it. Now, I use it all the time and share it with a lot of people who are grateful for its effectiveness. There is much more to this than meets the eye and it doesn't need to be believed for it to work. You may already know something similar, if not this very technique itself, but I am just here as a reminder anyway. Whenever someone who has really done something to me that is rather unforgivable, whether they did so consciously or unconsciously, and the negative thoughts and emotions of it won't leave me alone, I do the following: I say inwardly or outwardly, "I forgive myself for judging {them}." Let that sink in a few seconds, then, "I forgive them for judging me." <wait a few seconds> and then, "I forgive myself for judging myself. And I ask just now that all of this energy, all past and present thoughts, emotions, and actions, be transmuted to an energy of love- to an energy that serves the highest good- their highest good, my highest good, and the highest good of all concerned- that the Will of the One may be done. So Be It. Hoka-hey!" You may of course substitute "So Be It!" and "Hoka-hey" for whatever you personally say to complete your prayers to the Creator, such as "Amen", "Aho", Mash-Allah", And So It Is", or "Blessed Be", etc. So, there are basically four parts to this "Forgiveness Technique" and the depth and power of it are far-reaching and profound. If nothing else, it works remarkably well for just simply being free of the plaguing thoughts and emotions of bitter memories. When it comes back, I just do these four things again, sometimes in the same day, but then usually the distraction is gone and stays gone. When it comes back, I can avoid dwelling on it just by: 1) Forging them 2) Asking that they forgive me 3) Forgiving myself 4) Transmutation- call upon highest power to transmute what was to what you wish it to be. Use love when in doubt. When complete, as with all invocations of light and/or calls to the Creator, finish with a statement of conclusion such as So be it. Or Hoka-hey. Namaste. Aho. Blessed Be., etc.

Earth Population

If we shrank the earth's population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, it would look something like the following: There will be: 57 Asians 21 Europeans 14 from the Western Hemisphere, both north and south 8 Africans 52 would be female 48 would be male 70 would be non-white 30 would be white 70 would be non-Christian 30 would be Christian 89 would be heterosexual 11 would be homosexual 6 people would possess 59% of the entire world's wealth and all 6 would be from the United States. 80 would live in substandard housing 70 would be unable to read 50 would suffer from malnutrition 1 would be near death; 1 would be near birth 1 (yes, only 1) would have a college education 1 would own a computer.

Perspective

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness...you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation...you are ahead of 500 million people in the world. If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death...you are more blessed than three billion people in the world. If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep...you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace... you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy. If your parents are still alive and still married ... you are very rare, even in the United States and Canada. If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.

Benign Neglect Technique Otherwise known as let it go.

This letter was written in response to a medical doctor friend of mine for his question about what course of action to take when he had been wronged. Hey Doc, You asked, How do you deal with it when they have vandalized your home, stole your property and not paid you your wages. Do you not seek proper justice in court? That is of course one option and the "logical" solution. And perhaps it is the best thing to do. My answer to your question is to do only that which is best. Go for what serves your highest good. And logically, you may want to state in your intentions to your creator to be guided in such a way that you do only that which serves the highest good. I say take the high road. And while going to court and maintaining some indignance may very well be best, what I have done instead in similar circumstances is treat the whole situation with "benign neglect". This is not easy but in retrospect it certainly seems to have been the best course of action. When the court system took my son away from me and declared that I no longer had a right to see him again, I had a choice to fight it. But, there is always an underlying theme to these life situations as you know and sometimes it just takes an outside perspective to be able to see it. When the Dali Llama was asked how he felt about his country being overrun by the Chinese, he calmly stated, "It's our Karma. And they are our neighbors, we have to learn to get along with each other." No matter how heinous the crime, no matter how deep the hurt and damage, life is going to make perfection out of the situation. You have three distinct choices to select from: Heaven, Hell or Mediocrity. Most of us choose mediocrity. Hell, to me is having to perpetuate the unfavorable thoughts, emotions and debilitating results of being distracted or harmed by the bullshit. I choose instead to start anew as often and as much as I can. The only way that I can get away with this is through a profound trust in the benevolent, intelligence, and of the Life Force. I first seek the "blessing" in any situation- again, no matter how bad it is. And I wait until the blessing comes. I am not referring to the lesson, which is usually obvious. I am talking about a profound and valuable gift, or silver-lining that comes from the situation. Youll know a blessing or the blessing when the benefit is so great it makes all the suffering worthwhile. Once I know what this, then I am much better armed to deal with the conflict of the people, the situation, and all the negativity associated with it. In days of old, the creator was known to have spoken to the people of the world in this way, "I am thy Lord thy God and their shall be no Gods before me." In modern terms, the Creator has this message, "God is whatever you give your attention to." Each moment of each day is such an extraordinary opportunity to co-create a new reality- one based upon preferences and conscious choices rather than the countless distractions leading down endless turns of chaos, confusion and dis-ease. Go to court unless you have somewhere or something else you prefer to give your attention to. If it is principle then fight on principle. If it is money, then fight for the

money. If neither of these is as important as your precious free time with your new wife and all the things and places you may otherwise give your attention, then let it go. And if you're going to let it go, then let it go completely. The whole thing may be your karma. Or it may just be a test or an opportunity to rise above the mundane levels of life. Or it may be something else. The most important thing to me is that you freely choose where you most want your attention. And once you have decided what you most want to do, then ask Life, "Life, what is best? Do I fight this in court or do I let it go?" Then weigh your decision with the answer that life gives you and act upon the clear insight or feeling. I know it all sounds easier said than done, but it sure works and it is much better than the alternative. That was the end of the letter. I decided to add the following too. Once you have successfully chosen what to do, the real challenge is follow-through and perseverance. One technique to help with this is called Perish the Thought, which is very ancient, powerful and effective. I use it all the time for a wide range of applications. When a thought comes to you or from you and you do not want it part of your permanent or semi-permanent reality, you have thirty seconds, according to Snowleopard, to remove the thought from your consciousness. You can use whatever way works such as cancel, cancel or delete or whatever. Until you find a better way comes to you, use Perish the Thought. It works better than any other way I have discovered to date. Use it once, twice, three times as many times as it takes to get that thought-form out of your head. One of the only reasons the Creator allows suffering is because we bring it on ourselves. We think it, feel it or act upon it. Everything that happens to you is something that you created, promoted or allowed. said Snowleopard on many occasions. I have found this to be true, except in rare instances where the intelligent, benevolent life-force is intervening on your behalf.

7 Steps to Create Anything

The following seven elements are a proven process for being able to manifest any reality now and in the future. There are exceptions, of course, yet the fundamentals remain, "What you think and feel becomes real." Therefore, it is logical to go first to the Source, by whatever name. Ask and ye shall receive. This works even if you dont believe it. Whatever you give attention to grows. Each of the elements below work independently, though when used in conjunction with each other, carry substantial co-creative power and manifestation ability. Men seek power and men seek perfection. If only they knew that Love is the perfection of power. -MQP 1) Prayer: The simplest, most powerful and effective way to create anything is to pray for it. Ask and ye shall receive. There are few exceptions to this. One is when what you are asking for is not in your best interest. Another is when the Intelligent Life-Force wants you to create it yourself- through imagination. With practice or natural clarity, you will know the difference. Making prayer as effective as possible, first give thanks for the ways things are and for everything that you have and that you have been given. It is more important to feel this than to merely think it. Then state your intentions, your heartfelt requests. Ask that it be so only if it is in your highest good or something like, If it is in alignment with Thy will" Then say, and if so, then so be it., or Amen., or Aho. This is to formally make it so and to conclude your prayer. Not doing so is like leaving it half-done or opening the floodgates on a dam to let water through and not closing them afterward. Note: The Creator can hear you and feel your intention. Learn to hear, feel, or know the Creators response. There is nothing better than the awakening of this communication, except perhaps what it leads to. 2) Intuition: This is your connection to everything. Everyone is using intuition all the time. The challenge and the opportunity presented here is to begin consciously accessing it and using it to sustain and improve your life and the life of those around you. In the quiet of your mind and through inspired insight you will perceive guidance from the Creator based upon your intentions and requests. Follow it. Tune into this often. Intuition has never led me astray, though not following it has. As an example of how intuition works, say you are late for an appointment and it is really important to them or you that you are there. But your inner voice or the voice of Creator or Nature says, Turn right. But your appointment is to the left, and if you dont go you may lose your job or be thought poorly of. Go left anyway! You will discover something serendipitous, some magickal and unexpected. Go

right and you may make your appointment but never know if what you asked for was going to come true. This has happened to me many times. Now I always, or almost always, follow intuition. There are many ways to become more conscious and active in the use of intuition. It is like a muscle, the more you use it the stronger it gets. The form of intuition I use the most is NLP based which is a form of Neuro-linguistic Programming. 3) Imagination: If you can imagine it, it can happen. If you see it you can achieve it. Visualize what you most want. See yourself how you most love being. Use all the sensory perceptions: Hear it, See it. Smell it. Taste it. Touch it. Feel it, Be it. Now! Accept that it is already done. That is basically the so-called Secret(Law of Attraction) that is sweeping the world. This is how multi-billion dollar corporate executives and the so-called powers that be run their companies and their countries. The day has come for you to do the same. I bet you can do as well or better than they have. In fact, please do. Humanity can really use your contribution toward a better, more holistic, sustainable way of life. Note: as practice, simply formulate a clear mental image of whatever it is that you want and hold your attention on it for just five seconds (or more). That is enough. If you find this is not working for you then it either is not in your best interest or you need to take a closer look at what you really want. Refer to the word medicine on Commitment which may be found on or around page 18. 4) Focus: Whenever your mind drifts away from your preferred thoughts, direct it back to your goal and this seven-step process. Even just five seconds of any clear, mental thought gets the Universe moving in the desired direction. The average person has about one thought per second or 57,000 thoughts per day. The life force usually does not put energy into scattered attention. 5) Passion: Feel enthusiasm and joy for the new life and the new body you are co-creating with the divine, regardless of current circumstances. Feel profound appreciation, gratitude, love for the way things are. This is a pre-requisite for more effectively creating or asking for what you want. Love is the undisputed ultimate experience and feeling of well-being. So, why not start here. If ever you are not feeling it, then this is an opportunity to generate it. Contrary to scientific belief, energy can be created from nothing. Try it. It works. Even when I am feeling deeply depressed, lost, dazed, confused or angry, hurt, harmed, abandoned, neglected, whatever, those are ideal moments to put this to the test. Create love in your chest, your heart and body by simply appreciating something, anything. Hold your attention on this for just a few moments. Even if you dont feel it right awayEnergy flows where attention goes. Be patient. It may take a few seconds or a few minutes. Whenever you want to increase the feeling of love in your life then give it. If you are not feeling it to give it, then create it. Generate it from scratch even if only just for yourself. Then begin to share it and then more will come your way. What goes around comes around. also known

as Karma 6) Action: Do something anything to slowly forward your progress in this and other focused, passionate goals. Avoid those things that are contrary. Give 5 minutes attention per day minimum toward any of the above. 7) Trust: This is the most important step of all and when all else fails Trust is enough. Trust in no one nor anything except for your Creator. Trust that no matter what you do or do not do, Life will make perfection out of it.

Next come the many little things that may be done each day through attitude, nutrition, and exercise to get and stay fit and continuously improve state of mind, body tone, and energy levels. Dont be attached to results. Process is the goal. The journey is the destination.

Some of the techniques above and throughout this manual will work for yousome may not. Do one at a time and slowly add an additional element a little at a time. Eventually these things become habit and are then relatively effortless. This is the essence of the Art of Zen, or "no mind" in which you do not have to think about the new routine you have developed because it has become habit through repetition. As a partial review of the seven step process, try this simplified three-step version: Step #1 Make a call to your Source. Give thanks and really feel appreciation for the way things are now. Step #2 State your intentions being as general or specific as you wish. Sometimes leaving out details helps. Other times you want to be as detailed as possible. Step #3 Let it go. Say, "So be it." or "Aho.", "Amen.", "Hoka-hey." or "Blessed-be." Liken this to opening the flood gates of Heaven with your request and then close the gates when you are done to help prevent being overwhelmed. Smile when you are done knowing that it has already begun.

Warning!

Be careful what you ask for. If you want to avoid both known and unforeseen negative repercussions of your thoughts, emotions or actions, include the following with whatever method of manifestation you choose to use. "I ask that this be so only if it serves the highest good." This helps you keep karmically clear and often prevents disaster. Heres an example: The man who taught me the "Secret" or "Law of Attraction" beginning in 1992 told me the story of his brother who learned this years earlier. Like many people he immediately asked for a million dollars. Three days later he was paralyzed from the waist down in a motorcycle accident. The insurance companies settled out of court for $1 million. The Universe if often indifferent to good or bad, right or wrong, pleasure or pain. Make sure you are clear as to what you want. Include that it be so "only for the highest good" and then let it go. Then, as long as it is not contrary to your highest good or the highest good of others, you can have whatever you truly wish. It is also important that you are unattached to who, when, or where it manifests. Good luck and may the Force be with you. All Ways.

Dream Questions

Asking the questions and answering the questions below has been a real catalyst in better recollecting and understanding my dreams. Only one detail of the dream is necessary for this to work. And like most things, the more you work it, the more it works for you.

1) What are the main points of the dream? 2) What details seem significant? Why? 3) What is a one sentence title for this dream? 4) What is a one-word title for this dream? 5) What happens in the beginning? 6) What actions are taken? 7) Who is in the dream? 8) If the people in the dream were parts of yourself, what would they be telling you? 9) What is the overall tone of the dream? 10) How does this dream compare to your life right now? 11) What is the dream telling you that you may be overlooking? 12) What is the outcome of the dream? 13) If you were to live the dream in real life, what would you do differently? -From the book Celestine Manual by James Redfield, author of Celestine Prophecy" Some dreams are reflections of my past, others portray an alternate view of the present. Dreams about the future may be premonitions or the opportunity to be aware of more and different choices that may be made instead of the fate, destiny, or karma that awaits me. Whenever I log my dreams regularly, especially consistently, such as three days in a row, I recall many more dreams from just one dream-state. They are much more lucid, and my recall is more clear. When this happens, I become more inclined and motivated to go through the logging process. I have frequently forget how effective this

is. However, when I remember even one detail, as I begin to go through the questions, many more details surface. Sometimes the whole dream comes back to life. This process also helps develop better memory recall in general. Imagination is known to be the most powerful tool humans have for co-creating with the forces of spirit and nature. These questions, and the way they challenge and work my mind, help develop better use of my imagination. Recording the details as soon as you are conscious of them often means the difference between remembering them at all. Sometimes I write them down, but using a tape recorder, especially one with a VOX (Voice Activated System), enables me to remain more in that deeper state of consciousness while I convey the salient points or significant images. Prior to going to sleep, using some ritual (habit) or intention to be more conscious of my dreams, usually helps stimulate lucidity and recall. Calling-in-the-light (invoking the light) has had the most profound affect on my dreams so far. Not once that I recall have I had a disturbing dream after doing this. [Note: release the light upon awakening.] Have fun. Good luck. Please give feedback on these suggestions especially methods that you have used and the successful results, if any. Perhaps I'll see you on the other side... Your fellow dream-state adventurer, David

Footnote Glossary of Terms

*Sustainable Living, according to The Big Island School & Retreat simply means living in a sustainable way. This may be different for everyone. However, most people have similar needs of air, water, food, fuel, clothing, etc. Therefore, sustainable also means that all of the bare bones basics of survival are covered along with the wisdom and resources necessary to thrive- to live a holistic way of life that is generative, beyond mere survival or status quo and is mutually beneficial to self, source and others. Sustainable Living means that you are able to keep living the way you prefer while doing little or no harm. One goal of the school is to provide the means for each person to research, discover and apply those aspects of sustainable living that work for them. Along this endless journey the 21 Principles of Sustainable Living have been created and are being continuously improved upon to serve as guidelines or as a foundation to build upon individually and collectively. Develop your own principles or use these and others as tools and vehicles, as a catalyst for higher education, deep ecology and economic prosperity. **Generative- this word was introduced to me by visionary Kurt van der Heyden. It means many things including a way of life that generates rather than just consumes resources and energy. I can generate enthusiasm, compassion, ideas, dreams, plans, visions, goals, art, crafts, medicine, businesses and many other things. I can also generate a state of calm, blissful awareness in order to just be, to remember history and to surf joyously through eternity. Generative, in more practical terms means giving some time and attention to others- to animals, plants, people or trees. It means caring to some degree and acting upon that in a way that makes a difference. Every little bit makes a difference. ***Symbiotic- mutually beneficial for those involved. And for the School, symbiotic also means cooperation and communication that creates a mysterious whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. ****Spirit- The Big Island School & Retreat has no religious nor political affiliations. All spiritual and esoteric studies and references are for proven, practical purposes and application. Reference to spirit here refers to the mysterious life force that created the world and humanity by whatever means and by whatever name: "Life", the Mystery, God, Allah, Buddha, Jesus, Krishna, Muhamed and Bahalula including Pagan, Wicca, Druid, Shaman and all names given to the One or those honoring the whole of life. Those who do not honor life and spirit are tolerated, forgiven, accepted, loved, and given opportunity of their own free will to honor life and spirit. *****Profit- abundance of enthusiasm, family, friends and resources including all aspects of Holistic Health, Survival and Sustainable Development on all desired levels. You don't need money like you don't need to eat or breathe or be alive... like you don't need a body. Money and material wealth, the whole physicality of life is all a form of matter. Matter is made of spirit. So, liberate yourself of things by enjoying and

appreciating all that is. Then you will be rich instead of poor regardless of how much money or stuff you do or do not have. ******Enlightenment- free of burdens, effortless joy, fulfillment, infinite creativity, and more... whatever it means to you.

Authors Note

The wisdom within this manual came from a blend of sources both practical and esoteric. The majority of it comes from my direct, personal experience with the Apache and US Special Forces, Marine Corps Infantry, Search & Rescue International and Alaska Airborne Rangers along with 20+ years of Alaska back-country survival, travel and experience. I have also spent last eight years exploring and living all over Hawaii which has brought a whole new spectrum of wisdom and experience that I am eager to share. This manual has been inspired in large part by the original First Earth Battalion Field Manual written by Lt. Colonel Jim Channon, US Army (retired). An Apache medicine man named Snowleopard gave me that manual to read in 1993. Though I had no frame of reference or experience at that time to comprehend it, I have spent nearly everyday since learning about what he wrote and striving to be both a super-soldier and a warrior-monk. In this way I have been able to better serve my self, humanity, and creation. Other esoteric sources include Native American shamanism, Eastern Zen philosophy, and the work of Deepak Chopra, Ken Carey and Tom Brown, Jr. There are many other teachers and role models too numerous to mention. Each have helped shape my life experience and this testimony of it. Among the best of these were the works of Henry David Thoreau, J.R.R. Tolkien and his Lord of the Rings. There is also the profound Nature-based wisdom of John Muir. My deep gratitude for them all for influencing my life of adventure, Nature, discovery of Spirit, and learning to live the best of both worlds, wilderness and society, nature and technology, the here and the hereafter. Please forgive any repetition, grammatical errors or other mistakes. This is my first real publishing experience in the way of print. In intend to make revisions and updated versions of this for as long as I am alive. The purpose of compiling the wisdom contained herein is for personal survival and daily living along with enlightenment and co-creating heaven on earth. All throughout this document there are seemingly religious references, yet I have little or no time for religion (organized beliefs). Religion is for people who are afraid to go to hell. Spirituality is for those who have been there. I prefer direct experience, knowing for sure, and using what works. I also avoid or discard what does not work regardless of who tells me its good for me. Everyone is different and we all have similarities. I am writing this for myself to remember certain things that I have learned over the years and to be inspired to live, to love, to give, and to allow myself to receive the very best life has to offer. I wish this for all humanity. Now,

and in the future. So be it. Aho. Namaste. Hoka-hey. And Aloha!" -David Michael Lakota

Ranger Speak Arabic The following is a letter to my daughter when I found out her unit was deploying to Afghanistan: If indeed you are sent to Afghanistan, learn the language. Arabic is one of the oldest and most powerful methods of communication in the world. Despite rogue terrorists, the people of Islam and the Muslim faith have a deep connection to Oneness- the All. To know the people, you must know the language. La-illah-illa-Allah is the foundation. It means, Allah is the One and the One is Allah. Everything else is secondary, yet still very important, such as, "Al-hom-do-la-Allah!" (thanks be to Allah) and, "Sub-hon-Allah" (praise be to Allah). Good luck in boot camp. Have fun. Be alert. Don't get hurt! Love, Dad Other Arabic: La-howla-wa-lah-quata illa-billah. Auzu belahi maneshiatani arajim bismiallae iraman irahim See YouTube video.

More on Huna Kupua

Among the greatest wisdoms I have come across in my life of exploration into the mysteries and spirituality of life, I discovered Kahuna Magick, also known as the Hawaiian Principles. I discovered the first one, Ike, in 1999, one year after the first of the Kahunas began sharing them with the world. The following year I found another one, Kalo, the original Hawaiian word for what the Tahitians and modern Hawaii calls Taro, a staple and sacred food. Each year after that I found or was shown or told one more until I had all seven. Then an eighth one appeared and I recognized its potency from the Ishayas Asencion Training in which a similar wisdom was one of four of the most wise and powerful of connections with divine. The Ishayas Ascension Training was kept secret for 2000 years until 1999-2000. The it was shared but only in very private, sacred and relatively expensive space. Well, the eighth Hawaiian Principle will not cost you a dime except for the price of reading it here. In ancient times the Hawaiian Principles or Kahuna Magick was known as Huna Kupua. Huna Kupua was the way of life and spirituality of the Mana Huna People who pre-existed before the Tahitians came. Legend has it they were driven into the mountains by the giant Tahitians. Many or most were killed. The few that survived snuck down into the Tahitian camps at night and stole food and supplies. They also occasionally cut the throat of one or more of the Tahitians as they slept. For this they were given the devious name Menehune. They were feared and detested. It was revealed after being hidden from the world for thousands of years for with this wisdom comes great power and responsibility. It is being shared with you now as part of Kauai Universitys mission of providing the best experience and training for enlightenment. So it begins

The wisdom and techniques of this manual have saved my life many times in the darkest of hours and in the most dangerous circumstances, from driving in severe snowstorms to encountering angry bears in the deep forest, to confrontations with so-called "evil" in physical and non-physical forms. More importantly, wisdom such as this has been a catalyst for my soul evolution and more fully enjoying life. The following strategies are for myself personally and for any who are able to apply them. Fun Service Profit****** in that order of priority Learning Experiencing Teaching (or sharing) the art and science of Wilderness Adventure / Ecological Stewardship Projects / and Documentary Production along with other elements of the "21 Principles of Sustainable Living". Applying working formulas: T*E=MF, "The Secret", and Einstein's E=MC squared along with other proven methods of manifestation and co-creation Conducting weekly Tribal Council where everyone has the opportunity to speak once before anyone speaks twice. This involves the most advanced methods on earth for gleaning wisdom from individuals and allowing the group mind to be activated. This is possible through intention (invoking the Mystery) and a combination of the following systems: ancient tribal council (roundtable Q&A), Robert's Rules of Order and Free-form Discussion). Video technology is used to integrate each of the above. Sustainable Living 101: "Use what we have. Use it well. Generate more than we need. Share it wisely."
