We are representing the defense in this case. We intend to prove that the accused, John Burton, is innocent of domestic abuse and violent behaviour. John is an outstanding citizen with no criminal record. He used to quick tempered in his youth, but all of us were at one point in time. I acknowledge that John had a fight with Julie in Highschool, but that is irrelevant because John has changed.
