Travelling inspiration: Unravelling the beauty of Bukidnons Lake Apo

Finding your way in the quaint city of Valencia to this wonderful place for inspiring hours of solitude and peace, Lake Apo welcomes the weary soul.

Just as how inspired I was...

I came to this awesome lake to remind myself of how beauty must be appreciated in its simplicity as we say. I heard of this lake through stories shared by fellow travel bloggers and whose slightest description ignited my soul to search for where I can find myself once more, back to where I once have left . finding my way to this inspiring lake was a trip of a lifetime. I entered into its premises passing through pineapple plantations, reminding myself of how humble people toil on daily to make life bearable.

Arriving midday, I was greeted by beauty beyond comprehension. I was awe-struck when I came to feel its warmth as fresh air blew myself into my self-imposed jaunt to finally come to terms of what I had been going through and how I cope up with the challenges I encounter each day. I was mesmerized at how beautiful Lake Apo is from where I sit, absorbing its grandeur and told myself I have finally unravelled the hidden jewel of Bukidnon.

Lake Apo is where you can find peaceful reflective moments. Gathering your thoughts as you see the inspiring beauty of nature unfolding before you is bliss.

The house nearby powered by solar, is the one you can find in the lake. It has a patio where you can draw inspiring pictures on your mind and perhaps, with a pen, write down something to make you remember nothing but LIFE.

How to get here for how much?

The only airport near to Bukidnon is Cagayan de Oro (they have daily flights in and out from MNLCDO) From Cagayan de Oro Agora Terminal, take a Rural Transit bus towards Valencia. For this DIY jaunt, I passed by Malaybalay City so I paid our aircon bus fare for Php 130. From Malaybalay, I took a jeep for Php25 to Valencia City. The habal-habal ride cost Php 100 roundtrip; On my way back from Lake Apo, I went to the Doljogon junction and from there, went to drop by at Musuan and paid Php 5 taking the jeepney; From Musuan to Cagayan de Oro Agora Terminal, I took the aircon Rural Transit Bus and paid Php 205 . Total cost for DIY jaunt to Lake Apo: Php465 or roughly around USD 11.
