Computer skills

I am currently a student of the Automatic Control and Computer Science faculty within the Politehnica University of Bucharest. During the first three years I have already finished I obtained 10 at every course. During years 2-4 I was awarded a Performance scholarship by the university. (Annually, less than 10 students from all years of study are awarded this scholarship) Graduated Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi high school, Radauti, top of my year with a GPA of 9.85 and a Baccalaureate average of 9.63 (on a 1 to 10 scale where 10 is excellent) Fluent in C/C++ Good command of C#, Java Some knowledge of Python, Matlab, Assembler, Verilog Mobile games developer for Gameloft Romania, during which time I gained experience in programming on mobile platforms with scarce resources (memory and CPU) where efficiency is essential. Contributions to a research project at csitsun.pub.ro (Digital Computers Division in the Computer Science Department at UPB) to create a web-service for interaction with FPGA's (programming, running applications and retrieving data). I contributed to the Microsoft sponsored Gaming4Knowledge project with graphic simulations of certain algorithms done in C#

Fifth place at the Team phase of the prestigious programming contest ACM (2006, 2005)

First prize in both the Traian Lalescu mathematics contest and the university wide physics contest, 2004 Second prize in the annual Student Projects Session at physics (with a software implementation of Chouvenets principle of error removal) and the special prize at mathematics (for a paper on Infodynamics), 2004

Member of Romanias broadened team for the International Physics Olympics of 2002 2 mentions (places 8th and 9th ) at the 2002 and 2003 Countrywide Physics Olympic 2 Third prizes at the 2000 and 2001 Countrywide Physics Olympics Third prize at the 1999 Countrywide Math Olympics Second prize at the 1998 Countrywide Physics Olympics
