Before using RTP Link for the first time, you will want to customize the mapping of machine names and default tolerance tables. The RTP Link, Multileaf Collimator and Customization options are located under the Data Export heading on the main XiO window.

Click Data Export on the main XiO window. XiO displays the following output selections.

Select an XiO Machine ID and create a name for the Remote Machine ID that is recognized by the receiving system. Enter a Tolerance Table Number that will be used by the receiving system. The tolerance tables are used on the receiving system to set up tolerances for table and gantry movements. Click Done. (Optional) Repeat the customization for as many machines as necessary.

Click the RTP Link option. Select the Patient ID for the patient you want to export.

Enter the RTP Link Filename. XiO automatically adds a .rtp extension to this filename. (Optional) If necessary, edit the Remote Patient ID to match the format used on the receiving system. Enter a Course ID. XiO uses this number to indicate what fraction of the treatment you are sending. This information must be entered.

10. Select a Transfer Method. The options are for 3.5 inch floppy disk and network. 11. (Optional) If necessary, edit the Remote Beam ID. Each beam number must be unique for the selected patient. The Beam Description and Gantry Angle fields appear automatically from the plan. 12. (Optional) If necessary, edit the Machine ID. The default value is the mapped machine ID you entered in RTP Link Customization. 13. (Optional) If necessary, edit the Tolerance Table value. XiO maps the default value to the Tolerance Table value you entered in RTP Link Customization. 14. Edit the Wedge ID. The default value is the XiO Wedge ID; however, you can edit this value to match the appropriate value used by the receiving system. 15. Click the Next Beam button. XiO displays the editable values for the next beam. NOTE: The RTP Link filename, Remote Patient ID, Course ID, Treatment Site, and Transfer Methods are now non-editable unless you go back to Beam 1. 16. Repeat the steps for editing specific beam parameters for each beam and click the Next Beam button between beams. 17. (Optional) Click the Previous Beam button to go back to edit a previous beam's parameters.

19. Click the Send File button when you are ready to export. XiO displays a yellow message when the file export is complete and prompts you for another Patient ID to export. OR If you are finished, click the Cancel button.

Select the Patient ID for the patient you want to export. Select the Plan ID for the patient. Click Done. XiO displays the following dialog box.

Enter a File name for the MLC Controller. Select the Beam Numbers representing the MLC fields you want to export. Select the Varian Revision File. (Rev G or H is needed for Varian 120 leaf files.) Select the file Transfer Method. The options are network and 3.5 inch floppy.
10. Click the Send File button when you are ready to send the MLC Controller file. XiO displays a system message to notify you when the file has been sent. NOTE: XiO only display the Send File button after you have fill in all the required fields. 11. When you are finished, click Cancel to exit Data Export.

12. Click Data Export on the main XiO window. XiO displays the following output selections.
13. Click the Multileaf Collimator option. 14. Select the Patient ID for the patient you want to export. 15. Select the Plan ID for the patient.

17. Enter the MLC Node Name. Valid node names range from MLC_01 to MLC_08. 18. Enter the Group number. 19. Select the Beam Numbers representing the MLC fields you want to export. 20. Click the Send File button when you are ready to send the MLC Controller file. NOTE: XiO ONLY displays the Send File button after you have filled in all the required fields. 21. After you are finished, click Cancel to exit Data Export.
