SKIVED TAPE
PREFACE
This standard was prepared under the authority of the Plastics Industry Standards
Committee and is one of a series of standards relating to PTFE products.
A preliminary draft was prepared by the National Fluorocarbon Division of the
Plastics Institute of Australia. In preparing the standard cognizance was taken of
BS Draft 68/1323, Polyetrafluoroethylene Skived Tape.
This standard specifies the classification and composition of skived tape, including
finish, and physical and electrical characteristics required of the tape.
Attention is drawn to the fact that skived tape may be used or referred to as PTFE
sheet in its larger sizes.
