Council voted unanimously to support the appointment of Wilma Shim to the Tribunal for the next year Council voted in favor of a PDRC resolution that the SU take a stance against grandfather clauses in market modifier referendums. I took a hard stance against this proposal and was one of 8 no votes. This resolution passed 11-8. The reasons for my opposition are detailed in the minutes. SLC 69/27 March 20th, 2012 I was absent for this meeting, due to academic commitments. SLC 69/28 March 27th, 2012 The SU elections CRO presented the outcomes and several recommendations that came out of the 2012 election We re-allocated some mis-allocated Quality Money to a specific project I voted yes for a SLC excusal for Arts representative Raphael Jacob for work that, while outside of his mandate as Arts Rep, was in the best interest of the organization as a whole. I voted no for an excusal put forward by Law Representative Waqas Iqbal on the grounds that SLC was not taking place during the academic commitment that was brought to the table. 2. Faculty Work (and connecting with constituents) Students Union General Election I worked to encourage students to get out and vote in this last SU general election. This involved direct one-to-on contact with a number of students, as well as bringing various candidates through Scurfield Hall to introduce them to Haskayne students.

Hosted and organized a Haskayne-specific candidate forum that was relatively well attended, giving our Haskayne candidates a chance to engage students. A number of executive candidates also visited the forum. 3. Committee Work Clubs Committee We are now working within a very tight budget, resulting in our inability to fully fund club events for the remainder of the academic year. This has resulted in a number of difficult funding decisions during the month of March and signals that the budget needs to be increased for future years. March 28th - Selected Eric Lahoda award winners for 2012 B.Comm Review Met at the beginning of the month Major changes to the B.Comm have been structured Two ad-hoc subcommittees have been struck to solidify the courses Presidents Circle (March 28th, 2012) This was actually two separate meetings at 2pm and 6pm this year I had the SU provide pizza to the incoming and outgoing club presidents to act as an incentive for their attendance. CUS President Brittany Humphrey presented on the pending changes to the Haskayne clubs system, I presented on potential new student levy options for the coming academic year. 4. Other Spicing Up Spaces Worked with the Financial Management Group, Alliances in Marketing & Commerce Undergraduate Society to renovate the home of a deserving Calgary family over the course of March 24th - 25th Alberta Student Energy Conference Attended as a student attendee, supported by Students Union conference funding. Used this as an opportunity to engage students from Haskayne who I had not yet met about current Haskayne issues.
