Our Western Region Oil & Gas team has positioned itself as an industry leader and is experiencing significant growth following recent successes with a major construction projects in this sector. We are looking for individuals capable of performing key roles in the delivery of major contracts. An exciting and challenging opportunity has just opened for an experienced Marine / Barge (Construction) Supervisor to work with our team on a major civil / marine construction project. You'll be based at our construction site on Barrow Island , on a FIFO roster of 3 weeks on 1 week off. Ideally you will come from a resources / marine / construction background and understand what is required to meet the high standards required to work in this type of role. Can you do the following??... Plan and supervise the ongoing and day to day operations of the barge. Organise and plan the crewing of appropriate vessels and onboard plant. Ensure that a culture of safe working practices are carried out in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements. Assist in the preparation of work method statements involving marine works. Work with the Marine Superintendent to ensure that subcontractors are fully supervised and compliant with the Company's requirements. Relieve the Marine Superintendent as required and accept their responsibilities when they are off site including the writing and compilation of daily and weekly project reports.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including tact and diplomacy in any client interactions. A string background in marine related works. Be familiar with a range of marine equipment including barges, tugboats, workboats and barge mounted cranes. Proven supervisory skills. Excellent problem solving ability.
