A: Do you mean to tell me you dont care for modern art? Not any of it?
B: Thats right. I dont understand it and I dont like it.
A: Thats a very narrow-minded viewpoint. If you dont understand it, how
can you say that you dont like it?
B: Perhaps I am a little conservative. I just cant imagine that the modern artist
is really serious.
A: I wont argue with you, but I think you are unfair. The modern artist has a
different approach to his work with the more traditional artist.
B: Are you trying to tell me that these peculiar paintings mean anything? A

A: I guess theres no point in discussing the matter any further. You have your
opinion and I have mine.
B: I agree there are two sides to everything, but this time I see only one of
them.
A: Well, I am attempting to explain that the modern artist is trying to get
across his personal feelings about the world around him.
B: Then he should keep his feelings to himself.

B: I wish I could agree with you.
A: Why? You dont like here?
B: Yes, I do. But I wonder whether I can lead an even better life in Shanghai.

B: True.
A: Well, if youre looking for excitement, in terms of career and living style,
Hong Kong is the place. But if you want stable life style and quietness,
Canada is a good choice.
B: I dont know. I seem to want both.
A: If youre financially well off, you can go back and forth between these two
places if you want to. Itd be nice if you can spend summer in Canada and
winter in Hong Kong. That way youre taking advantage of living in the
best weather of the two places.
B: Thats a great suggestion. Ill ask my husband. I must agree with all that he
says.
