Traffic Policing is only used if the UNI has traffic policing capability. Turning on the policing test will cause the IntelliSAM test to fail if policing is not implemented on the network The service performance test is normally a 15 minute test
13. Select the BWP tab 14. Input desired Bandwidth Profiles of your preference by selecting the first row and entering CIR/EIR/CBS/EBS values 15. Move to the next BWP by increasing the Number by one at the bottom of the screen 16. Press OK when you are finished
Normally you will create the BWP based on your service offerings The RxT 5122 can have up to 16 active BWP per system profile

17. Select the Service Acceptance Criteria tab 18. Input desired Service Acceptance Profiles of your preference by selecting the first row and entering FDV/RTFD/Frame Loss/Availability and FLR Limit values 19. Change the SAC Label to USER and enter labels for each 20. Move to the next SAC by increasing the Number by one at the bottom of the screen 21. Press OK when you are finished
Normally you will create the BWP based on your service offerings
22. Select the Traffic Shape tab 23. Set Traffic Ramp Step Duration to 5 seconds 24. Press the OK button
Step duration is normally from 5-15 seconds for real tests Number of Test Cycles is normally 100 but takes significantly longer to run

26. Change the number of services to 3 27. Press the Setup button

28. The frame setup tab will be displayed. Configure the following: Setting VLAN: IP: Frame Size: Value Checked Checked Your choice >=68 bytes
This tab also allows you to layer on VLAN, MPLS, IP, TCP or UDP protocols to the basic Ethernet frame by simply checking the option you desire.
29. Press the MAC tab and: a. Press the MAC Source Default button to set the MAC automatically Y.1564 tests use IEEE 802.3 framing and are normally layer two circuits
30. Press the VLAN tab and configure the following: Setting Priority: CFI: ID: Value Your choice <=7 Unchecked Your choice
VLAN priority ranges from 0 (High) to 7 (Low) CFI (Canonical Flag Indicator) should only be checked when connecting Ethernet to other networks such as Token Ring. Leaving it checked may crash some network elements or cause other issues
31. Press the Payload tab and set the Pattern Type

32. Press the BWP/SAC tab 33. For stream #1 set BWP and SAC to any combination of the three BWP and SACs you created previously 34. Press the OK button
The BWP/SAC tab is where you create the customers purchased SLA by joining the Bandwidth Profile and Service Acceptance Criteria together. Think of this tab as a shopping cart where you can pick and choose different BWP/SAC combinations
35. Press the OK button on the Service Table screen

38. Press the Service Configuration tab, observe the test progress
The Service Configuration test is verifying that each individual stream is configured properly and is passing traffic at the full CIR/EIR/CBS/EBS rates
39. When the Service Configuration test is finished the RxT will move on to the Service Performance test
40. Press the Service Performance tab, observe the test in progress
The Service Performance test is verifying that all streams are meeting the simultaneously
41. When the test is finished the RxT will show a Pass/Fail summary for both tests 42. Save the test result
