Enterprise Institute and LeanCor, a third-party logistics provider, partner to offer a hands-on workshop. Cambridge, Mass., May 16, 2012 -- The Lean Enterprise Institute (LEI) and Third Party Logistics Provider (3PL) LeanCor Supply Chain Group will offer a two-day workshop, June 67, 2012, on how to apply lean principles to the extended enterprise, beginning with extended value-stream mapping to uncover waste. The workshop, Building the Lean Fulfillment Stream will take place at LeanCors supply chain group operations center, Florence, KY, so attendees can "go see" lean principles in action in the management of supply chains and logistics. Supply Chain Improvement The workshop will reinforce concepts learned in class by demonstrating to attendees the application of visual management, pull vs. push replenishment, standard work, plan-do-checkact problem-solving tools, quality at the source, and continuous improvement.
