Foreign is relative to the location, ie in the United States is was generally China or Europe, but in Cuba it was rumored to be those from the United States. o Radiation from epic levels of sun spots o Something to do with bees. Definitely. Truth Unknown. The data on the RKV is unstable at best as it was first documented only months before communications ended. Spread Rumors o Global reports of spread are all a lie. Most of South America and all of Europe are completely safe. o It was a worldwide phenomenon that happened all at once o Is a part of evolution. The only way that the human race could survive without killing itself. o Is a return to nature. There are reports of some humans allowing themselves to be bitten. o You can only get RKV through bites. o You can only get RKV from Infected. o [insert popular drug] is a miracle cure. Despite popular belief from adverts before communications shut down, there is currently NO CURE. Truth o While there are still cases of RKV occurring to those who were in seclusion, a majority of new carriers suffer from the AT Strain (see Safety for more information). The only means of contracting the AT Strain is through fluid transmission, ie, saliva, blood, and bile in open wounds. Symptoms/Signs Rumors wheezing cough fever

headaches vomiting pale complexion swollen glands lethargy malaise Rapid fingernail growth Hardened fingernails Confusion Disorientation Irritability Over Emotional Over Sleeping Insomnia Fatigue Labored Breathing Excessive Bruising Numbness Decreased Appetite Increased Appetite Cold to Touch Milky Colored Eyes Albinism or partial Albinism Etc.. the list goes on for every symptom thinkable, but these are the most common beliefs Truth o wheezing cough o headaches o vomiting o swollen glands o lethargy o Rapid fingernail growth o Hardened fingernails o Disorientation o Fatigue o Numbness o Decreased Appetite o Milky Colored Eyes o Unfortunately, many of the warning signs for RKV are similar (if not the same) as influenza. This has led to the murder of

many innocent flu victims and the spread of infection by those successful at hiding their wounds. Types of Attack Bite: The most commonly attributed means of infection. The Saliva will make contact with blood and spread the virus. Scratch: With the quickly growing and hardening fingernails, Infected can scratch the victim to create an open wound in which blood, bile, or saliva can make its way into the bloodstream. Bile: Vomiting is a common sight among Infected and Progenitors alike. It is thought that perhaps the flesh that they devour is necessary for this process but this is just speculation. Nevertheless, bile is just as dangerous as saliva and blood. Attack Patterns Rumors o The Infected are capable of planning attacks, such as pretending to be dead then striking out at the living. While there have been sightings of this happening, it is completely coincidental. o Infected attack Progenitors. This is a result of humans mocking Progenitor or Infected movement. See Destruction for details. Truth o The Progenitors attack in groups, while the Infected hunt alone. o Progenitors and Infected will pursue its prey even after losing any part of their body until the brain is destroyed. This is proof that even a severed head will continued to gnash its teeth, its eyes locked on its prey until killed. Destruction Rumors o Indestructible. Rumors fueled by shots that graze heads instead of penetrating them. o They are still human. A popular theory still today. This is because of people who are driven mad by the stress of life and start showing signs of an outright change without being bitten. When gunned down, they react as a human and scream and cry out as opposed to the emotionless stagger (or run) of the Progenitors and Infected. Truth o Destruction of the Brain. For some, as of yet unknown, reason, the destruction of the brain is the only 100% means of killing Infected and Progenitors. Due to necrosis and degradation of the nervous system, the Progenitors are slow moving and so

this is a relatively easy task. Studies of the Infected show that their increased muscles mass and senses (compared to Progenitors) is a mutation of RKV, known as the AT Strain. Fire. While fire does eventually damage the brain enough to kill both Infected and Progenitors, this type of attack should be used carefully. It requires a length of time for the brain to essentially boil in the skull and so it is not the most foolproof method. Ive personally examined several Infected and Progenitors with burn marks, specifically those who survived the crash of AA Flight 815.

Safety Ships are often full of the Infected. It is not uncommon to ships floating unmanned covered in blood. The Ocean is littered with both Progenitors and Infected. There are those that float and those that sink, which are now more common than ever. Progenitors have been reported to climbing up anchors and attacking those onboard. Some stations have resorted to cannibalism. Station Tau31 based in Corpus set up a lottery system in which civilian survivors (classified 4-F) which were found clean were subjected to becoming part of the food supply. This was due to the fact that the infestation outside the compound was too heavy to risk leaving to search for supplies after the national drops slowed down. NVPA is in control of most government functions. True in every sense of the word. While what is left of the government is likely in an underground base, the last act of the senate was to give unlimited power to the NVPA in the RKV Crisis. It is my most fervent hope that after this momentary blackout of communication, I will find America still strong in her spirit and ready to be restored to her former glory. The term Awakening was picked up by the press in what can be assumed as an attempt to put a positive spin on the situation.

However, President Billings did not get to enjoy the irony of his statement as he was assassinated on his way to safety. Most who use the term Awakening, now use it in reference to the dead waking from their graves. Immunity. As known there are various levels of immunity, each case varying. What is not known is the reason for these variances. In some cases an injury could heal and the patient be well for months before turning. Other times it is the amount of fluid transfer could be the cause. The best advice is to not take your immunity for granted.
