PTU sponsored Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Mathematical Modeling and Scientific Computing from 18.6.2012 to 22.6.2012. The programme is open to all faculty members from PTU affiliated colleges. REGISTRATION Only limited seats are available in this course. Criterion of selection will be first-come-first-serve basis. The application on the enclosed form duly signed by sponsoring authority, should reach course coordinator directly. The candidate will be acknowledged about his/her registration. OBJECTIVES OF FDP Objective of this FDP is to introduce the participants about the basic and advanced topics in Mathematical programming and scientific computing. In particular, the programme will start from Introduction to Matlab Programming, Numerical Methods for Ordinary Differential Equations, Solving Ordinary Differential Equations using Matlab, Data representation and visualization using Matlab, Advanced Symbolic computation using Matlab , Computational Methods in Binary, Four Digit, Octal and Hexadecimal Number Systems using Vedic Mathematics, Text Processing using LATEX, Basics of Mathematica, Programming in Mathematica, Basics of Cryptography, Attacks on RSA, Algorithms of Discrete Logarithmic Programming. Later in the programme, concentration will be given on the applications of all these topics in engineering. This will enable faculty to develop skills on latest technology for research and teaching.
