Oath of Membership

I, (name of member), do solemnly swear; that I shall abide and uphold the Constitution and By-Laws of the Integrated Society of Social Work Students; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the ideals, aspirations, principles, and values of the Social Work Profession; that I shall comply with the mandates of the Board of Directors that are consistent with the vision-mission and objectives of this Integrated Society, the regulations of all institutions it is represented, to the Constitution and to all promulgated laws of the Republic of the Philippines; that I shall take this oath without negligence and uncertainty. So Help Me God

Oath of Office

I, (name of the officer), member of the Board of Directors of the Integrated Society of Social Work Students, do solemnly swear; that I will faithfully and conscientiously fulfil my duties as a Representative and Ex Officio Officer of the this Integrated Society; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the ideals, aspirations, principles, and values of the Social Work Profession; that I will uphold and defend the Constitution and By-Laws of this Integrated Society; that I shall observe justice to each and every person; that I shall consecrate myself in the service of the nation and I shall take this oath without mental reservation and purpose of evasion. CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

PREAMBLE We, the Members of the Integrated Society of Social Work Students, Adhering to Social Democratic Principles, Imploring the Aid of Almighty God, bind ourselves to establish an Integrated Society in order to strengthen the bond of camaraderie and solidarity among Social Work Students and Social Work Student Organizations; to employ the ideals, aspirations, principles, values, and the philosophy of the Social Work Profession, to cultivate and develop the entire well-being an faculties of each and every member of this Society, as well as to promote and carry out Social Work Practice in all fields and sectors of the Society, do hereby ordain and promulgate this Constitution. ARTICLE I- NAME AND DOMICILE SECTION 1- NAME This Organization shall be called the Integrated Society of Social Work Students or otherwise referred in the acronym ISSWS. SECTION 2- DOMICILE This Organization shall reside in the areas of Baguio City and Benguet Province

ARTICLE II- VISION-MISSION AND OBJECTIVES SECTION 1- VISION We envision an Integrated Society of Social Work Students that promotes and observes collaboration, camaraderie, and solidarity to all Social Work Students and Social Work Student Organizations with cordial relations to the professional sphere in order to sponsor and/or coordinate simultaneous activities and/or projects that will infuse Social Transformation to the Society which aims for its Social Development. SECTION 2-MISSION The Integrated Society of Social Work Students is in tasked to be the primary arm of aid to all Social Work Oriented and/or Related Activities and/or Projects as the main administrative and coordinating body in carrying out the Vision of this Integrated Society as well as to be an auxiliary arm to all Social Work Student Organizations affiliated to the aforementioned Integrated Society. SECTION 3-OBJECTIVES A) To promote and observe coordination, collaboration, cordial relations, and institutional viability to all Social Work Students and Social Work Student Organizations into the establishment and operation of an Integrated Society; B) To initiate joint-activities and joint-projects focused and/or related in the Social Work Field being the primary administrative and coordinating body in its operations; and C) To promote and observe partnership in the implementation of the Vision, Mission, Objectives, and Common Goal of each and every Social Work Student Organization affiliated in this Integrated Society. ARTICLE III-MEMBERSHIP SECTION 1 All bona fide Social Work Students are qualified to become an Official Member of this Integrated Society. SECTION 2 All Social Work Student Organizations are qualified to become an Official Chapter of this Integrated Society and the Heads of these Chapters shall be the Members of the ISSWS Board of Directors. SECTION 3 Official determination of membership shall be accepted upon registration and upon payment of the required registration fee to be determined by the ISSWS Board of Directors.

SECTION 4 Registration of Members shall take place according to the discretion of the Board of Directors as a response to popular demand. ARTICLE IV-ADAPTIVE MEASURES SECTION 1 All provisions to the rights, duties, and obligations of members stated in the Constitution and By-laws of the Social Work Student Organizations affiliated in this Integrated Society shall be adapted provided all conflicting provisions are deemed repealed and subjected into the deliberation of the ISSWS Board of Directors. SECTION 2 Other provisions may also be adapted from the enacted legislations of the different Social Work Student Organizations within this Integrated Society provided it shall not bring conflict of interest and such adaptation shall be determined by the ISSWS Board of Directors. ARTICLE V-ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE SECTION 1 There shall be established a Board of Directors from the Heads of the different Social Work Student Organizations within this Integrated Society which shall hold the jurisdiction of all organizational affairs whether executive, legislative, and judiciary. SECTION 2.1 The duties and responsibilities of the Board of Directors shall be the following: A) To exercise and emanate authority over this Integrated Society; B) To call and preside over meetings/assemblies; C) To appoint Officers deemed necessary for this Integrated Society as stated in the Constitution and By-laws; D) To delegate authority over Officers and Members when such authority does not contravene duties, rules, and regulations; E) To supervise the Officers and Members in the discharge of their duties; F) To adapt cautious measures from the Internal Rules and Procedure of the different Social Work Student Organizations in this Integrated Society. G) To implement laws, policies, regulations, procedures, and programs in order to carry simultaneously the operations of this Integrated Society.

SECTION 2.2 There shall be Five (5) Communication Officers that shall be in charge for information dissemination for all organizational concerns deemed necessary to be brought to the members of this Integrated Society and shall serve as the medium link between the organization officers and members of this Integrated Society. SECTION 2.3 There shall be a Finance Officer that shall be in charge of the monetary concerns of this Integrated Society such as the funds and financial records as well as to be responsible to the proper liquidation of funds. SECTION 2.4 There shall be an Audit Officer that shall prepare for expenditure reports and shall check the validity of all Financial Reports accomplished by the Finance Officer. SECTION 2.5 There shall be an Executive Secretary that shall prepare and keep the custody of all the minutes of the meetings of this Integrated Society as well as duly designated to be in charge of the documentation and archiving system of this Integrated Society. SECTION 2.6 There shall be an Associate Secretary that shall assist the Executive Secretary in his/her functions and shall be in charge of disseminating any notice of the Board of Directors to the Communication Officers and shall direct the instructions of the Board of Directors to the Officers and Members in the operations of the ISSWS. ARTICLE VI-MEETINGS SECTION 1 The ISSWS shall adopt Parliamentary Rules of Procedure in all meetings called upon the Officers and Members. SECTION 2 The ISSWS shall have regular meetings on the first Monday of every month upon the determination of the Board of Directors. SECTION 3 The ISSWS shall have regular assembly every semester upon the determination of the Board of Directors.

ARTICLE VII-GENERAL PROVISION SECTION 1 There shall be a logo representing the Integrated Society of Social Work Students (ISSWS) SECTION 2 The Logo symbolizes the following: A) The dignity and honor of the ISSWS as represented by the Sword; B) The Sanctity and Protection of the Ideals, Aspirations, Principles, and Values of the Social Work Profession as represented by the Shield; C) Peace as a fundamental of Social Justice represented by the Dove; D) Social Change as promoted by the Social Work Profession for Peoples Empowerment represented by the Torch; E) Social Protection within the Members and its Partners through the restoration, development, and enhancement of the Social Functioning of Individuals, Groups, and Communities. ARTICLE VIII-REVISION/AMENDMENTS SECTION 1 A Member may propose for an amendment through a written letter to the Board of Directors stating the proposed amendment and his/her purpose of amending the Constitution and By-laws. SECTION 2 Any amendment shall take effect upon approval of a majority vote of all members of this Integrated Society which shall be one-half the entire populace plus one or more. ARTICLE VIV-TRANSITORY PROVISIONS SECTION 1 The First Board of Directors shall be composed of the distinguished founders and propagators from the Ad Hoc Committee prior to the launching of ISSWS provided that there are two representatives from each and every Chapter of this Integrated Society. SECTION 2 The right of the Heads of the Student Organizations affiliated with ISSWS to become the Board of Directors is hereby suspended in the first operation of this Integrated Society.

SECTION 3 The First Board of Directors of ISSWS shall determine all matters on the succession of powers to the next set of Board of Directors. SECTION 4 The suspension of the right of the Heads of Student Organizations to become the Board of Directors of this Integrated Society shall be repealed and all provisions of this Constitution and By-laws shall be fully implemented upon the turnover of powers and responsibility from the First Board of Directors of ISSWS.
