Sales Promotion
A Sales Promotion is an activity in the retail business aimed at: Increasing market share and sales income Retaining customers Improving business profitability Providing goods at competitive prices

The Showroom details tab contains the necessary options to define sales promotions for its POS locations
The head office selects the applicable showroom(s) for executing the promotion

Sales Promotions can be defined for: Specific location type Specific geographical locations Specific showroom

Import from File: Allows user to import the sales promotion definition details from an Excel/CSV file
Description: Enter the description of the Scheme/ Offer. For example: Monsoon Josh

Apply Discount on: Lowest/Highest priced item o Lowest: Discount is on the lowest priced item o Highest: Discount is on the highest priced item

Selected Item Details: Items covered under the sales promotion scheme are displayed Discount entered in terms of: A grid to enter the discount details. For e.g., for a Percentage/Amount discount type, enter the discount percentage or amount and max discounts allowed.

Important Configurations
Modes of applying sales promotion in billing: There are two modes to configure the application of sales promotion in billing as per business requirements, o Auto Mode: The appropriate scheme is applied automatically by Shoper 9 to the items in the bill. o Manual Mode: A flexible way for the user to select the appropriate scheme as per business requirements.
Free Items Mandatory in Billing: A choice provided to the user to include/exclude FREE items in bill.
Auto Generate Sales Promotion Code: A choice to select the method of generating code for the sales promotion, which can be automatic or manual numbering.

In the billing screen the fixed discount is selected by default and cannot be edited by the user

A variable discount can be edited to the maximum limit allowed in the billing screen

Buy Goods worth Rs. 1000/-, get 10% discount (Fixed Discount)
On selection of F6, the system calculates the appropriate bill level discount

Buy 2 Trousers of Brand Y, get 1 Trouser of the same brand FREE On clicking F6, the user can view the appropriate sales promotions defined, for selection
