Team Contract

This Team Contract serves as the guidelines and ground rules to help the project team work most productively together over the course of the project. The Team Contract is a living document and may be updated as the need arises throughout the project. Any updates will be discussed with and ratified by the project team members. Team Members:

Team Goal: The goal of this team will be making best strategic decision about company policy by meeting twice in a week to plan or distribute tasks for the following week, analyze data collected and compile the progress. Meeting Place and Time: We as a team are planning to meet twice a week to complete the respected project. 1. We will meet on every Wednesday for 20 minutes after the class time and discuss about the tasks that are needed to be done next. 2. The second meeting will hold on Monday after the class time. 3. The meeting will start and end on time. A. Code of Conduct: As a team, we will: 1. Work proactively, anticipating potential problems and working to prevent them. 2. Respect each others ideas and share the project work load. 3. Keep other team members informed of information related to the project. 4. Focus on what is best for the whole project team. 5. See the team project through to completion. B. Participation: We will: 1. Choose a team leader with the consent of all the members and members will abide by and be obedient to the final decision made by the team leader. 2. The communication method among team members other than meeting time will be through telephone, e-mail, face to face. 3. Provide the opportunity for equal participation 4. Be open to new approaches and consider new ideas 5. Have one discussion at a time 6. Let the team leader know well in advance if a team member has to miss a meeting or may have trouble meeting a deadline for a given task. 7. Focus on solving problems, not blaming people 8. Present ideas clearly and concisely and keep discussions on track. C. Tasks Need to Perform: 1. Tasks needed to be performed for a specific work or project will be listed in the meeting.

2. After task list is made, team leader will assign the tasks to each team member with the consent of the members. 3. Tasks needed to be done can be as diversified as reading materials, preparing presentations, meeting people, gathering information, taking notes, making assignments and any other tasks needed to complete the tasks or project honestly. 4. On Wednesday meeting, team will discuss about the tasks that is needed to be done in next and who will do which tasks in the next week. 5. On Monday meeting, team member have to come with the basic preparation about the meeting topics and show the result of the assigned tasks that was given on Wednesday. D. Ground Rules: a. Decision Making Process: As a project team we will: 1. Make decisions based on data whenever feasible. 2. Seek to find the needed information or data. 3. Discuss criteria (cost, time, impact, etc.) for making a decision before choosing an option. 4. Encourage and explore different interpretations of data. 5. Get input from the entire team before a decision is made. 6. The leader will make the final decision with the consent of all members. 7. In the case of unresolved conflicts between members, team leaders decision will be the final decision. b. Meeting Behaviours: 1. Each member has to come to meeting being prepared. 2. Each member has to come on time. Showing up late will represents your disrespect for others time. 3. This team is an open minded team and hence every pros and cons of everyones idea will be discussed openly. Hence no Sidebar Conversations will be allowed in the meetings. 4. Behaviours like sitting silently in the meeting or conversation over the phone during the meeting or shutting down after the meeting will not be accepted. 5. Members have to pay attention, participate effectively, be accountable for any premeeting tasks and be social with other members. c. Problem Solving: In the event of a conflict, as a project team, we will: 1. Regard conflict as normal and as an opportunity for growth. 2. Seek to understand the interests and desires of each party involved before arriving at answers or solutions. 3. Listen openly to other points of view. 4. Repeat back to the other person what we understand and ask if it is correct and acknowledge valid points the other person had made. 5. State our points of view and our interests in a nonjudgmental and nonattacking manner. 6. Seek to find some common ground for agreement. 7. Encourage everyone to participate in solving problems 8. Only use constructive criticism 9. Strive to build on each others ideas.
