KUCHING: Celcom Axiata Bhd (Celcom), the first and foremost mobile telecommunications provider in the country was honoured again with the much coveted Mobile Service Provider of the Year Award for the third time at the 2012 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Excellence Awards. According to a press statement by Celcom, The award, received by Celcom chief executive officer Datuk Seri Shazalli Ramly and presented by Frost & Sullivan partner & Asia Pacific managing director Manoj Menon, was in recognition of Celcoms notable performance in various areas such as revenue growth, market share, capabilities, and overall contribution to the industry. This recognition tonight honours us as a telecommunications provider who puts its customers at the forefront, said Shazalli. He added that, Our belief that this industry is not solely about the technology, but addressing the customers needs and experience under our unmatched network is of far more importance. This award is a testament to all our hard work and dedication to our customers. The win also marked the third time Celcom had been honoured with this prestigious award since winning it twice in 2009 and 2010 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Telecoms Awards. Held for the eighth consecutive year, the Malaysian Awards programme formerly known as the Malaysia Telecoms Awards is now known as the Malaysia Excellence Awards.
