ESSAY 1 In spite of modern development in both physical and psychological aspects of todays society, the medieval practice of arranged

marriage in tribes or castes still exists in some rural areas. Arranged marriage is a traditional whereby the spouse of one individual is deliberately chosen by parents or elders in a community. In lieu of efforts put forth by advocates of freedom in marriage, the marginalized groups of the society are still played with ideas of antiquity as such. I would argue that this practice brings forth detrimental implications to the society. The roots of the practice of arranged marriage lie deeply in the beliefs of non-essential, traditional views and customs. It is a practice which sought advent from the disparity between status of male and female in a conventional society. In an arranged marriage, a female is usually forbidden to meet her would-be groom as the belief is strong that this results in bad omen. This is one form of manifestation of gender inequality issue that we as a free society, strive to do away with. While we should always adhere to hereditary values and descendence of morals in our life, we should not practice underlying beliefs in a society which would undermine the quality and virtues of lives of not only ours, but to the global population as well. Arranged marriage is in one way rendering the pursuit of freedom by mankind in vain. It is one form of unnecessity that deteriorates what we yearn for in life the freedom to make choices and to advocate independent thoughts. An arranged marriage strips the constituents of todays society of their personal freedom and deprives them of the ability to choose. A persons quality of life is assessed in todays intellectual perspective as being able to uphold humanistics values and to protect basic human rights of oneself and the people. By robbing people of the priviledge to choose how they want to live their lives, arranged marriage is an abdication of our moral obligations toward creating a free society. Albeit respecting our parents and elders is of the essence, this serves not as a justifiable ground for arranged marriage. One may have to consider the

possibility of conflicting interests or errors occurring when arranging a marriage. It has always been a common scene that most elders of a poor tribe would deliberately seize women off their rights to serve their own interests. This unscrupulous act provides an anti-argument for the need of arranged marriage because broken lives are resulted from this. There may also be cases of deception whereby marriage scandals are the norm. For instance, a male proposing through the parents for the females love and acceptance may resort to whatever means in possession of them. False information may be given by the proposing male and the truth of his behaviour is only revealed after the marriage. Furthermore, arranged marriage serves to impinge on the values and the meaning of love in our society. The innate ability of mankind to love has always been a sacred aspect of the human race. To love is not mainly to exclaim our appealing interests towards someone, but it is to exhaust whatever means we must to provide happiness and bliss in your partners life. What arranged marriage serves to achieve is the contrary of these views. Through arranged marriage, love is to some extent commercialized and ridiculed. This is partly due to the fact that most arranged marriages are based on materialistic gains and the yearn to improve ones societal status. The stature of love as the fundamental intuition of mankind has been affected by this. If arranged marriages were to be continually practiced, unconditional love that serves as the ideals of society would cease to exist. In conclusion, although altruistic love, that could be sought not from arranged marriage, may be a rare scene today, it have all but continued to be our vision toward living a fullest life. Revebrating the great philosopher Karl Marxs words, that freedom in development of all classes is essential, I would say that we must first find freedom of liberization by ameliorating the practice of arranged marriages, because in that way, liberization of our universal mankind values is consolidated.

ESSAY 2 The dictum of the society we live in today provides us with comfort and liberation from the past issues, particularly arranged marriage. On the whole, arranged marriage is unreasonable and should be eradicated due to the conflict it brought to us. I hereby stand in opposition towards arranged marriage with several cards in hand, namely: the individuals consent, the combat between husband and wife and the racial tension it causes. First of all, marriage should be the eternal binding between two individual, by compatibility of course. One should have all the more reason to select his or her own life partner instead of being seized of this opportunity. Arranged marriage does that. Parents or elders controlling the permission and right of their children to marry someone of different standard, different social status or different race clearly is in contrast with the Universal Human Rights declared by the United Nations. Since we are aiming towards an era of meritocracy, arranged marriage for the purpose of uniting wealth amongst those in authoritative power is a no-no. Therefore, an individuals consent is always the individuals own soul-searching path, nothing less than that. Besides, should the pair of couple fail, it is theirs to blame, putting the parents or elders at rest. The good news is, one can always opt for divorce when the marriage is not a match made in heaven. If this situation turned out to be an arranged marriage, both partners could not divorce since they are bound together forever, whether they like it or not. Consequently, the combat between husband and wife erupts, the dominant one will take charge of the authority and the weak one will be neglected of needs. This unfair scenario does not make either happy, let alone their children if they ever have one. Thus, to avoid this unwanted consequence, arranged marriage should not be practiced, even more so in meddling with a familys affair.

Last but not least, arranged marriage, more often than not, applies only within a certain tribe, a particular esoteric circle of influence or a race. We are living in an epoch of global approach, where the unknown was made known by means of mass media and internet. To limit an individual towards his or her marriage not only discourages intellectual progress, but it also confine a person to only a selected few circle where the wider circle is out of reach which may lead to prejudice. In a large scale, this battle is equivalent to the definition of racism. Yes, arranged marriage inevitably promotes racism and the world that we live in condemns racism, as seen by the presidency of the United States currently run by Barack Obama, the first black president of that nation. All in all, I have explained the tacit consent between life partners, regarding the mutual understanding they should experience before deciding to marry one another; the disadvantages of arranged marriage and the discouragement of arranged marriage in this advancing society. An ultimatum to this discussion would be the phrase unity in diversity, where we are not blinded by old, traditional judgement.

ESSAY 3 An arranged marriage, in this situation most of opinion should be good or bad in our lives. Married was one of things that importance to face in our lifes. Modern cities and also in this generations most likely to get married in their own ways. An arranged marriage is choice of a husband or wife is made by parents or elders same like arrage their future life after married. So, in this case married more important and cannot be easier, but, and arranged marriage have advantages and disadvantages if we all know. In other hand, parents or elders can give better partner for their son. Whenever an arranged marriage has made by parents or elders, their children can accepted it they all knows. Mostly, the parents will find the best partner for their son for arranged marriage become positive and not make their son suffered and not happy. After that, disadvantages when an arranged marriage will be practice in todays society is both of them cant identifying their wife or husband background before this an arranged marriage. Surely, the partners cannot judge their future husband or wife if parents solve this matter. Partners also cant be friendly first and knows their future husband or wife characteristics. Maybe parents dont know at all characteristics of their future son in law, but partners should know whose their partner actually. An arranged marriaged will be make their sons not comfortable with their future husband or wife if they all dont know their partner. And then, the son will be stressed and not happy with their life if get a wrong person if an arranged marriage. The partners only happy with their loving person in their life. If their arranged marriage son cant arrange it in own ways it can not be their life to get more better and cheerful. Eventually, instituation of family must be good and have communication in family. Parents should know how to find best way to make their son happy in marriage or not. Parents and elders can give motivation action to their son about marriage. Marriage is most important to all, so the best marriage is make them happy and get what they all want. Hopefully, in future generations parents can take action with correct decision.
