Corrosion Resistance
Connectors show no evidence of corrosion after exposure to 48 hours of salt spray per MIL-STD 1344, method 1001.

Moisture Resistance
Water does not penetrate seals when pressure difference applied per MIL-STD 1344 method 1004.1.

Contact Insertion (After Crimping)


1. Grasp contact approximately one inch behind the contact crimp barrel.

Contact Removal
1. Snap appropriate size removal tool over the wire.

2. Hold Jiffy Splice between thumb and forenger approximately one half inch behind cavity.

2. Hold Jiffy Splice between thumb and forenger approximately one half inch behind cavity. Slide tool into cavity until resistance is felt and retaining ngers are engaged. Do not twist or insert tool at an angle. 3. Grip Jiffy Splice between thumb and forenger and slowly pull contact-wire assembly with removal tool out of cavity.

3. Push contact straight into Jiffy Splice until a positive stop is felt. An audible snap will occur when correctly mated. A light tug will conrm it is properly seated.

Note: Jiffy Splice accepts one pin and one socket.

Trouble extracting Stamped & Formed contacts? Pull removal tool half way out of Jiffy Splice, rotate 90, and repeat contact removal process.
