GOD IS YOUR LOVING HEAVENLY FATHER The first section of the Mormon Churchs website is entitled Restoration of Truth. Mormonism teaches that all other churches of Christianity possess only part of Gods truth while the Mormon Church is the only Christian church that possesses the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Thus, we will spend the majority of our review of the LDS Churchs website examining this section. The first page in this Restoration of Truth section of the mormon.org website, under the section entitled, God is Your Loving Heavenly Father they state: We call God Heavenly Father because He is the Father of our spirits and we are created in His image (Genesis 1:27). God has a body that looks like yours, though His body is immortal, perfected, and has a glory beyond description. 1

HIDDEN FACTS ABOUT MORMON.ORG - What the Official Mormon Church Website Does Not Tell You
WHAT MORMON.ORG DOES NOT TELL YOU ABOUT GOD THE FATHER: Mormon Gods existed before Heavenly Father. Mormon.org does not tell you that Mormons DO NOT believe that God the Father is the first God who has ever existed. Many outside the LDS Church do not know that when Mormons speak of Heavenly Father, they are not speaking of the Biblical God who says: I am he: before me there was no God formed (Isaiah 43:10) Rather, on the contrary, Mormonism teaches that God the Father had a Father God before Him and that God had a Father God before Him and so forth on backward into eternity. Thus, Mormon Prophets and Apostles have claimed: I will preach on the plurality of Gods Our text says, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father. The Apostles have discovered that there were Gods above My object was to preach the scriptures, and preach the doctrine they contain, there being a God above, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 370 Our Father in heaven, according to the Prophet, had a Father, and since there has been a condition of this kind through all eternity, each Father had a Father, until we come to a stop where we cannot go further, because of our limited capacity to understand. LDS Apostle Joseph Fielding Smith (who became Mormonisms 10th Prophet) Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 2, p. 47 Thus, the Mormon version of Heavenly Father is not the God of the Bible who claims to be the first and only God: Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.Isaiah 44:6, 8 2 LDS Heavenly Father did not exist from eternity. Mormon.org does not tell you that Mormons believe that God has not always been as God. While Mormon.org admits that Mormonism teaches that God has a human body that looks like yours, it fails to explain that the Mormon Church does not agree with the Biblical teaching that God is not a man (Hosea 11:9). Rather, Mormonism teaches that God is literally an exalted Man who once lived on an earth like ours and progressed to Godhood. Joseph Smith taught: God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens! I say, if you were to see him today, you would see him like a man in formlike yourselves in all the person, image, and very form as a man I am going to tell you how God came to be God. We have imagined and supposed that God was

God from all eternity. I will refute that idea.he was once a man like us; yea, that God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ himself did.Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, compiled by Joseph Fielding Smith, pp. 345-346 Through Obedience to Law We Can Become Like Our Father in Heaven... If God became God by obedience to all of the gospel law with the crowning point being the celestial law of marriage, then thats the only way I can become a god. Achieving A Celestial Marriage, Student Manual, p. 4 God has a wife in Heaven. Mormon.org does not tell you that Mormons believe God the Father has a wife in Heaven. When Mormons say that God is the Father of our spirits, they do not believe as the Bible teaches, that God created our spirits within our human bodies at conception (Zechariah 12:1), but rather they teach that God procreated our spirits with his wife in a Heavenly spirit-world. On page 129 of the Mormon Church publication, Achieving A Celestial Marriage Student Manual, the Church states: By definition, exaltation includes the ability to procreate the family unit throughout eternity. This our Father in heaven has power to do. His marriage partner is our mother in heaven. We are their spirit children, born to them in the bonds of celestial marriage For as we have a Father in heaven, so also we have a Mother there, a glorified, exalted, ennobled Mother. THE GOSPEL BLESSES FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS Under this section of The Restoration of Truth link of mormon.org, we read: Because families are ordained of God, they are the most important social unit in time and in eternity. Marriage (Genesis 2:18) and family (Genesis 1:28) are central focal points in Gods plan for the eternal destiny of His children. Your Heavenly Father wants you to do all you can during your time on Earth to prepare yourself to live in an eternal family.

HIDDEN FACTS ABOUT MORMON.ORG - What the Official Mormon Church Website Does Not Tell You
WHAT MORMON.ORG DOES NOT TELL YOU ABOUT FOREVER FAMILIES: Forever families and non-worthy family members The teaching of Mormonisms three Kingdoms of Heaven, prevents the family unit from existing together as a complete family unit if ANY of the family members fail to perform to the standards required for the Celestial Kingdom (Highest Mormon Kingdom). The LDS Church manual, Gospel Principles states: At the Final Judgment we will be assigned to the kingdom for which we are prepared. We will be sent to one of four places the celestial kingdom (the highest degress of glory), the terrestrial kingdom (the second degree), the telestial kingdom (the lowest degree), or outer darkness (the kingdom of the devil - not a degree of glory). ...Terrestrial... These are also they who received the gospel and a testimony of Jesus but then were not valiant.... They will not be part of eternal families....Gospel Principles, pp. 297-298 Thus, children born to parents who have been sealed for time and eternity in a Mormon Temple, are not guaranteed to live with their parents in the Celestial Kingdom, until after they have proven worthy of that Kingdom by fulfilling all the commandments and covenants of the LDS faith throughout their entire adult lives. Divided families in the Celestial Kingdom Even if an entire LDS family inherits the Celestial Kingdom as Mormonism describes, they will NOT really be together forever as a family. This is because Mormonism teaches that when a husband and wife are exalted to become gods in the Celestial Kingdom, each couple is given a separate world to populate from the ones given to their children. Thus, if every worthy male and female couple each inherits a world to populate, how would they be able to be together in the family unit of their parents world? Since gods in Mormonism have a finite body and cannot be present everywhere, how would a worthy Mormon couple who is busy populating their world be able to be present with their children who are busy with their own separate worlds? Brethren, 225,000 of you are here tonight. I suppose 225,000 of you may become gods. There seems to be plenty of space out there in the universe. And the Lord has proved that he knows how to do it. I think he could make, or probably have us help make, worlds for all of us, for every one of us 225,000. Spencer W. Kimball (12th LDS Prophet), Ensign, November 1975, p. 80 How many Gods there are, I do not know. But there never was a time when there were not Gods and worlds, and when men were not passing through the same ordeals that we are now passing through.Brigham Young (2nd LDS Prophet), Journal of Discourses, vol. 7, p. 333

It has been said, therefore, that God is everywhere present; but this does not mean that the actual person of any one member of the Godhead can be physically present in more than one place at one time.plainly, however, His person cannot be in more than one place at any one time. James E. Talmage, The Articles of Faith, (1890), 1966ed., p. 43 Marriage in Heaven and the teachings of Jesus Jesus taught that there will be NO marriage in heaven (see Matthew 22:28-30), but that all people in Heaven will resurrect in a form similar to the angels in Heaven. Because the Bible teaches that there is only one Heaven where God and His people will live, the Bible teaches that all family members can live together in Heaven if they trusted Jesus Christs payment for their righteous standing before God (see Acts 16:30-31). Thus, there will be no families broken apart into separate Kingdoms of Heaven, simply for not proving worthy enough or for inheriting separate worlds. Only the rejection of Jesus as Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9), causes the unbeliever to be rejected from Heaven. Thus, while the family unit itself will not exist in Heaven, family members can live together forever in Gods ONE Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 25:46).

HEAVENLY FATHER REVEALS HIS GOSPEL TO ALL In the section entitled, Heavenly Father Reveals His Gospel to All under The Restoration of Truth of mormon.org, the website describes the concept that Gods people need prophets to lead them today as they did in the past. This idea is based on the Biblical Scripture of Amos 3:7 that states: Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. WHAT MORMON.ORG DOES NOT TELL YOU ABOUT GODS PROPHETS: Joseph Smiths qualifications and his claim to be Gods Prophet. Joseph Smiths false prophecies, his false teachings about God, and his polygamy disqualified him from being called as a Prophet of God to lead Gods Church. The Bible is clear that a true Prophet of God must have 100% accuracy in his predictions and teach accurate doctrine about the character and nature of the one true God. It also proclaims that any man who wishes to lead Gods Church today, must be the husband of one wife (1 Timothy 3:1; Titus 1:6). Joseph Smith failed all three of these tests with his false predictions recorded in Mormon Scripture, his false teachings about God not always being God and making Him into an exalted man, contrary to Biblical doctrine about God being a Spirit (John 4:24), who is not a man (Hosea 11:9; Numbers 23:19; Romans 1:23). He also failed the New

Testament test of being a Christian leader when he married 33 additional women after marrying his first wife Emma. John the Baptist and Gods Final Prophet John the Baptist was the last prophet to lead Gods people because Jesus became the supreme Prophet of Gods Church today. Biblical Scripture explains: God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things. ... Hebrews 1:1-2 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. Luke 16:16 Since Jesus Christ is the only Prophet who leads Gods Church today, He is called the head of the church (Ephesians 5:23). He gives personal revelation of His will to each individual believer today through Bible reading, prayer and communion with Gods Holy Spirit (John 14:26). JESUS CHRIST ESTABLISHED HIS CHURCH Under the The Restoration of Truth - Jesus Christ established His Church section of mormon.org we read: A few hundred years before the birth of Jesus Christ, people had fallen into apostasy. When the Savior began His mortal ministry, He restored His gospel and established His Church again on the earth. He built His Church upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, He himself being the chief cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20) In addition to the Twelve Apostles, Christ appointed other leaders to assist the Apostles in the work of His Church. These included:

Seventies (missionaries), Evangelists (patriarchs), Pastors (presiding leaders), Elders, Bishops, Priests, Teachers, Deacons. WHAT MORMON.ORG DOES NOT TELL YOU ABOUT THE CHURCH JESUS CHRIST ESTABLISHED. 6 Reasons the Mormon Churchs structure is not like the early Christian church The Mormon Churchs organizational structure is not identical to the organizational structure of the early church that Jesus Christ established. There are several reasons for this.

1. There were more than 12 Apostles in the early church. While Mormons are familiar with the 12 disciples Jesus appointed as His apostles at Luke 6:13, they fail to note that 8 additional men were appointed as apostles in the early church. These were: Matthias (Acts 1:26) replacing Judas Barnabas (Acts 14:14) Andronicus (Romans 16:7) Junia (Romans 16:7) James, the brother of Jesus (Galatians 1:19) Silvanus (1 Thessalonians 1:1; 2:6) Timothy (1 Thessalonians 1:1; 2:6) Paul (Romans 11:13; 1 Corinthians 15:8-10) Thus, the early church had at least 19 Apostles, and not strictly 12 Apostles as the Mormon Church possesses today. 2. Once a foundation is built, it no longer needs to be rebuilt. Ephesians 2:20 states that the church (household of God) is built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone. Since the writings of the foundation provided by the prophets and apostles of the Old and New Testaments are compiled in the Biblical Scripture we possess today, there is no need to reestablish this foundation through new revelation under a new set of foundational Prophets and Apostles for the Christian Church today. As we already noted, when the official position of Prophet under the Old Testament ended with John the Baptist (Luke 16:16), the role transferred to Jesus Christ as the supreme Prophet of Gods people (Hebrews 1:1-2). 3. The LDS Churchs organizational structure is backward when it places Prophets over Apostles. God set Apostles to be first in the Church OVER Prophets. While Jesus Christ fulfills the role as Supreme Prophet of the Church today, God gave the early church men who were called prophets because they gave revelation to specific individuals and congregations within the church and expounded upon the truths in Scripture just as pastors do today when they preach the Word of God. Unlike the Mormon Churchs Prophet whose teachings are not to be criticized, the prophets of the early church were critiqued by fellow prophets and apostles. This is why Paul commanded the believers in Corinth:

Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.1 Corinthians 14:29-32 Because the test of a prophet requires 100% accuracy in prophetic utterances (Deuteronomy 18:20-22) and doctrine compatible to the written text of Scripture (Isaiah 8:20), God appointed apostles like Paul (who served as a church planting missionary), to oversee the prophets serving in the churches he founded: God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:28 4. The position of Seventy did not exist in the early church. The only place in the New Testament where the term seventy appears is at Luke 10:1, 17 where the Lord Jesus sent out seventy men to prepare the way for Him to speak in the towns and villages. They acted as missionaries do today in preaching the Gospel. Nowhere else in the New Testament does the term Seventy appear. Thus, the term speaks only of the number of men Jesus sent out and does not speak of an official position Jesus established in His Church. 5. The office of Priests did not exist in the early church. While the Bible speaks of the Priesthood of all believers at 1 Peter 2:5 and 9 that is possessed by all followers of Jesus Christ (both male and female), nowhere in the Bible does a mortal human hold an official position of Priest in the early Church. The writer of Hebrews explains that the Priesthood under the Jewish Aaronic system was transformed to the Melchizedek arrangement when Jesus Christ became the only high priest mediating for the Christian Church (Hebrews 4:15, 7:12). Thus, there is no need for special Priests to serve in the Church of God today. Hebrews 7:11-12, 24-25 explains: If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them 6. Deacons were not 12 year old boys in the early church. Mormonism bestows the office of Deacon on twelve-year old boys, but in the early church we read that those who held the office of Deacon were grown men who were the husbands of one wife (1 Timothy 3:12). Thus, the Mormon Churchs office of Deacon does not follow the biblical pattern. HIDDEN FACTS ABOUT MORMON.ORG - What the Official Mormon Church Website Does Not Tell You
THE GREAT APOSTASY Under the The Restoration of Truth The Great Apostasy section of mormon.org we read: Following the death of Jesus Christ The Apostles were killed and the priesthood authorityincluding the keys to direct and receive revelation for the Churchwas taken from the earth (2 Thessalonians 2:13). Because the Church was no longer led by priesthood authority and revelation, error crept into Church teachings. Good people and much truth remained, but the gospel as established by Jesus Christ was lost, resulting in a period called the Great Apostasy. WHAT MORMON.ORG DOES NOT TELL YOU ABOUT THE GREAT APOSTASY Partial apostasy and Christs preservation of His Church It is TRUE that periods of apostasy occurred in some segments of Christs Church, but it is FALSE that this apostasy resulted in the complete loss of Christs gospel and priesthood authority. 1 Timothy 4:1 states that only some(not all) would fall away during the apostasy. Jesus promised that His Church would never be overcome by the evil forces of Hell (Matthew 16:18). Jude promised that the gospel was delivered to the saints once for all time (Jude 3) and Ephesians 3:21 stated that Christ is to receive glory in His Church throughout all ages. If the Mormon claim is true that a complete apostasy occurred in Christs church, how would Christ have been able to receive glorythroughout all ages?

The Apostle Johns promise of life and his holding of Priesthood authority until Christ comes According to Mormon Scripture Priesthood authority could not have been lost from the earth because the Apostle John was promised that he would not die, but would live and hold the keys of ministry authority until Jesus returns. Mormon Scripture, Doctrine and Covenants section 7 explains: the Lord said unto me: John, my beloved, what desirest thou? And I said unto him: Lord, give unto me power over death And the Lord said unto me: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, because thou desirest this thou shalt tarry until I come in my glory, and shalt prophesy before nations, kindreds, tongues and people I say unto thee, Peter and for thy brother James; and unto you three I will give this power and the keys of this ministry until I come.Doctrine and Covenants 7:1-3, 5, 7 The Book of Mormons 3 Nephites who live forever. According to Book of Mormon Scripture, three Nephites who were part of the 12 Apostles that Jesus allegedly appointed in America, were also told that they would never endure the pains of death but would be changed from mortality to immortality at Christs future coming (3 Nephi 28:8). So, if Mormon Scripture is true and these four Apostles never died, Priesthood Authority could not have left the earth and there would be no need for this authority to be restored through Mormonism.

THE RESTORATION OF THE GOSPEL - Mormon.org States: In 1820, as He had done throughout history, Father in Heaven again chose a prophet to restore the gospel and the priesthood to the earth. He called a young man named Joseph Smith, and through him, the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth. The Apostle Peter prophesied of the restitution of all things before Christs Second Coming (Acts 3:1921). The Restoration of Christs Church on the earth has made available the opportunity for all to once again receive all of the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. WHAT MORMON.ORG DOES NOT TELL YOU ABOUT THE RESTORED GOSPEL The Restored Gospel = Another Gospel Joseph Smith claimed that God restored the gospel through him by the appearance of the Father and the Son in his first vision, and later, the angel Moroni, who allegedly led him to the gold plates of the Book of Mormon buried in the Hill Cumorah in upstate New York. Mormons claim that this Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, yet the Biblical Apostle Paul warned of this another gospel: I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel. Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:6-8; What is the true Gospel? How is it different from the restored gospel of Mormonism? As we have already discussed, the true gospel was delivered once for all with no need for it to be redelivered to the church (Jude 3). The simple fact that that Mormonism claims to restore a lost gospel is an indication that its gospel is a counterfeit. The true Gospel is the belief that Jesus Christ died to pay the full penalty that was due us for the crimes (sins) we have committed in disobeying Gods laws (1 Peter 2:24). To accept Christs pardon, we must first recognize that we are all sinners and are unworthy to stand in Gods presence (Romans 3:23; 6:23). Next, we must place our personal trust in the belief that Jesus Christ as God died to pay for our sins so that we can be forgiven of our sins and perfected by standing in Christs righteousness alone (Philippians 3:9; Hebrews 10:10, 14). The Biblical Apostle Paul explained:

For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.2 Corinthians 5:21 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 The Mormon Churchs version of the gospel does not agree with the simple gospel of Jesus Christ given in the Bible because it requires obedience to laws and ordinances to make oneself worthy instead of trusting solely in Christs substitutionary righteousness. LDS Apostle Spencer W. Kimball explained: Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Savior, has given us our map a code of laws and commandments whereby we might attain perfection and, eventually, godhood. This set of laws and ordinances is known as the gospel of Jesus Christ and it is the only plan which will exalt mankind. The Miracle of Forgiveness, p. 6 When one reads the description of the another gospel that Paul warned the Galatians about in the following verses, one is able to see how Mormonisms gospel falls into the same category of being a counterfeit gospel: O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faithGalatians 3:1-3, 11-12 The Christians in Galatia had fallen victim to the counterfeit gospel of a faith that required followers to perform works of the law to perfect themselves. Thus, we see that in the same way that the Galatians had fallen prey to a another gospel, so Mormons have fallen pray to the Mormon Churchs another gospel code of laws in an attempt to perfect themselves by the flesh. By adding personal worthiness requirements of obedience to the law, Mormonism has in essence proclaimed that Jesus Christs atonement was insufficient to cover sin. For if Mormons truly believed that the blood of Christ was sufficient, they wouldnt need to add personal works of righteousness to their gospel of faith in Christ. Paul warned: Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.Galatians 5:4 Eternal Marriage and the Gospel The key Mormon gospel requirement of eternal marriage (Doctrine and Covenants 132:19-20) is missing from the gospel described both in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. According to Mormonism, if a man aspires to gain a full salvation to become a god in the highest level of Mormonism, he is required by the Mormon gospel to be married for time and eternity in an LDS Temple. Yet, one will search in vain to find this gospel ordinance discussed in the Bible and it is even missing from the Book of Mormon that Mormons claim contains the fulness of the everlasting gospel, and Joseph Smith hailed is the most correct

of any book on earth a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book. 3 . Far from marriage for eternity being taught in Scripture, we learn that Jesus Christ who is God Himself, was not married and He taught that all people would resurrect like the angels in heaven who are not married (Matthew 22:28-30). Also, the Apostle Paul encouraged believers of his day to remain unmarried for the work of the gospel (1 Corinthians 7). Even Jesus in the Book of Mormon states: 3 NEPHI 11:39-40: Verily, verily, I say unto you, that this is my doctrine and whoso shall declare more or less than this, and establish it for my doctrine, the same cometh of evil So, again we see that the LDS restored gospel really hasnt been restored to the original gospel, but is rather, another gospel condemned by both the Biblical Scripture and the Book of Mormon. Acts 3:19-21 and the Restitution of all things The Mormon Churchs use of the Biblical Scripture of Acts 3:19-21 as a proof-text for its claim that a restoration of the gospel was prophesied in Scripture is taken completely out of context. ACTS 3:19-21: Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. If Acts 3:19-21 speaks of Mormonisms restoration of the gospel, where is Jesus Christ today? Why isnt He here ruling upon the earth for the 1,000-year millennium that is prophesied to be the time in which Christ will restore creation to perfection as it was prior to the curse in Genesis? The Apostle Paul explained that at the glorious appearing of Jesus Christ, Jesus will redeem and purify His people the sons and daughters of God (Titus 2:13-14). Then, when these children of God are manifested at Christs glorious appearing (His second coming), all of creation shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption due to the curse (Romans 8:19-22). Thus, the context of Acts 3:19-21 has nothing to do with a restitution of the gospel, but rather, it is talking about the prophesied restitution of all things in creation when it will be delivered from the curse when he shall send Jesus Christ (Acts 3:20) back to earth for His 1,000-year reign (Revelation 19-22): For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. Romans 8:19-22

THE RESTORATION OF THE PRIESTHOOD Mormon.org states: Throughout time, God has given His servants, the prophets, the authority to act in His name. This authority is called the priesthood John the Baptist appeared and conferred upon Joseph Smith and his associate Oliver Cowdery the Aaronic Priesthood... Later, Peter, James, and John conferred the Melchizedek Priesthood upon Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery, restoring the same authority given to Christs Apostles anciently. WHAT MORMON.ORG DOES NOT TELL YOU ABOUT PRIESTHOOD AUTHORITY The Aaronic Priesthood, Jesus Christ and Joseph Smith Jesus Christ could not hold the Aaronic Priesthood because He was not of the Levitical lineage of Aaron, so neither could Joseph Smith receive this priesthood. Joseph Fielding Smith claimed that: the Prophet Joseph Smith was of the lineage of Joseph through the loins of Ephraim. 4 Since Smith was not of the tribe of Aaron, it would have been impossible for him to be ordained to the Biblical Aaronic priesthood. Hebrews 7 explains: And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.Hebrews 7:5, 14 The Aaronic Priesthood authority nullified The Aaronic Priesthood authority was nullified by the greater Melchizedek Priesthood. According to the Bible, only one priesthood authority exists in power at one time. When Abraham gave tithes to Melchizedek, the Aaronic Priesthood didnt exist. one no longer heard about the Melchizedek Priesthood until Jesus came to spiritual power and operated under the authority of this Melchizedek Priesthood. Because Jesus lives forever (Hebrews 7:24), the Aaronic Priesthood authority has been forever been done nullified! If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. Hebrews 7:11-12 The non-transferable Melchizedek Priesthood The Melchizedek Priesthood is non-transferable because Jesus Christ is the ONLY one who fulfills the qualifications to hold this Priesthood. There is only one High Priest who can exist at one time (see Numbers 35:25, 28 and 2 Kings 12:10; 23:4). Thus, when Jesus became the Christians High Priest as One who holds the power of an endless life, He demonstrated that He alone fulfills the Melchizedek Priesthood Authoritys qualifications. He as God existing from eternity (having neither beginning of days, nor end of life) and is the only one who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens. As our only High Priest, He holds an unchangeable (non-transferable) Priesthood Authority. Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens. Hebrews 7:3-4, 24-26 The Priesthood authority of all Christian believers The non-Aaronic and non-Melchizedek priesthood authority of all Christian believers is available to ALL who call upon the name of Jesus for salvation. This authority is not limited by race, citizenship, nor gender. But as many as received him, to them gave he power [authority] to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. John 1:12 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. 1 Peter 2:5, 9 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. The Book of Mormon is historically inaccurate and disagrees with archaeology. The Book of Mormon is historically inaccurate and does not agree with archaeology. Examples of historical and archeological discrepancies found in the Book of Mormon are as follows: o COMPASS: The earliest form of the compass (magnet floating in water) was invented in China sometime around 1044A.D. A dry form of the compass was invented in Europe around 1300A.D. until it was replaced in the 1800s by a liquid-filled magnetic version. Yet, Nephi in the Book of Mormon is said to use a compass as early as 589 B.C. (1 Nephi 18:21). o ANIMALS: The Book of Mormon mentions the cow, horse, ox, ass, and goat as if these animals existed in America between 589 B.C. and 421 A.D. (Alma 18:9; 1 Nephi 18:25; Enos 1:21; 2 Nephi 17:25; 21:7; 30:13; 3 Nephi 3:22; Ether 9:18-19; Mosiah 13:24). Yet, none of these animals have been found in pre-Columbian America. The curelom and cumoms animals mentioned at Ether 9:19 in the Book of Mormon are unknown to mankind. o WHEAT, BARLEY: The Book of Mormon mentions wheat and barley grains (Alma 11: 7, 15; Mosiah 7:22; 9:9) as being cultivated in America around 200 B.C. Yet, these grains are unknown to Pre-Columbian America. o SILK: The fabric silk mentioned at Alma 1:29 did not exist in pre-Columbian America. o STEEL, BRASS, BELLOWS: Steel mentioned at I Nephi 4:9; 8:25, Brass mentioned at 2 Nephi 5:15, and Bellows (a device used to control the sending of pressurized air to a firey heater) mentioned at 1 Nephi 17:11 were either unknown in Book of Mormon times or did not exist in Pre-Columbian America. o CIMETERS (SCIMITARS) AND CHARIOTS: The cimeter (curved sword) mentioned at Enos 1:20 and chariots mentioned at Alma 18:9-10 did not exist in Pre-Columbian America. o COINS: Ancient Biblical coins abound in Archeological digs throughout the Middle East, yet not one Book of Mormon coin of Alma 11 (senum, amnor, ezrom, onti, seon, senine, shum, limnah, shiblon, shiblum, leah, antion) has ever been found anywhere. o DNA EVIDENCE: The Book of Mormon claims that Jewish ancestry formed the majority of pre-Columbian inhabitants of America. Yet, 99.4% of the DNA research done on thousands of Native American Indians from over 150 tribes shows a direct link to Asia and 0.6% points to Europe or Africa, not Israel. Thus, there is NO evidence whatsoever to suggest a Jewish or Middle-Eastern migration to America. To excuse away the DNA evidence against this Book of Mormon claim, Mormon apologists have resorted to the idea that the Jewish Book of Mormon immigrants to America (the Nephites and the Lamanites) comprised only a relative small group of ancient inhabitants of America. This argument falls apart when one considers the following explicit passages from the Book of Mormon that assert that no other people existed in America prior to the Book of Mormon migrations. These passages claim that these Book of Mormon Jewish pilgrims grew exceedingly numerous to cover the face of the whole land:

2 NEPHI 1:8: And behold, it is wisdom that this land should be kept as yet from the knowledge of other nations; for behold, many nations would overrun the land, that there would be no place for an inheritance. JAROM 1:6: And they were scattered upon much of the face of the land, and the Lamanites also. And they were exceedingly more numerous than were they of the Nephites ALMA 10:3: And Aminadi was a descendant of Nephi, who was the son of Lehi, who came out of the land of Jerusalem, who was a descendant of Manasseh, who was the son of Joseph who was sold into Egypt by the hands of his brethren. OMNI 1:15-17: Behold, it came to pass that Mosiah discovered that the people of Zarahemla came out from Jerusalem at the time that Zedikah And they journeyed in the wilderness, and were brought by the hand of the Lord across the great waters, into the land where Mosiah discovered them; and they had dwelt there from that time forth. And at the time that Mosiah discovered them, they had become exceedingly numerous. HELAMAN 3:8: And it came to pass that they did multiply and spread, and did go forth from the land southward to the land northward, and did spread insomuch that they began to cover the face of the whole earth, from the sea south to the sea north, from the sea west to the sea east. Rather than finding supportive evidence for these Book of Mormon historical claims and artifacts, Mormon scholars have been forced to retreat from traditional interpretations of the words and phrases in the Book of Mormon and have developed unconventional explanations to reconcile these conflicted Book of Mormon texts with ancient Native American artifacts. The Book of Mormon is geographically inaccurate. The Book of Mormon is Geographically Inaccurate. Not one non-Mormon scholar has ever identified the remains and/or locations of any Book of Mormon land, city, river, battleground, or people group. Mormon scholars often point to Aztec and Mayan ruins for evidence, but they disagree among themselves as to the identity of these ancient ruins.

o UNKNOWN LANDS, CITIES, RIVERS, VALLEYS AND PEOPLE: Where is the river, Laman, that emptied into the Red Sea (1 Nephi 2:8) or the valley of Lemuel (1 Nephi 2:14) in the wilderness of Israel? Where are the ruins of the ancient Nephite people who had taken possession of all the northern parts of the land bordering on the wilderness, at the head of the river Sidon, from the east to the west, round about the wilderness side; on the north, even until they came to the land which they called Bountiful. (Alma 22:29)? Where is the land of Zarahemla (Omni 1:12; 15)? Where are the locations of the Lamanite land of Ishmael, land of Middoni, city of Nephi, the land of Shilom, the land of Shemlon, the city of Lemuel and the city of Shimnilom (Alma 23:9-12) who called themselves Anti-Nephi-Lehi people (Alma 23:17) and built many buildings, a great tower (Mosiah 11:13), synagogues, houses, temples, and sanctuaries (Alma 23:2). o HILL CUMORAH: Where is the Hill Cumorah? At Mormon 6:2, the Book of Mormon states that a Nephite general, named Mormon, called his people together to battle the Lamanite people unto the land of Cumorah, by a hill which was called Cumorah. This battled ended with the complete annihilation of the Nephite people and hundreds of thousands slain with the sword (Mormon 6:11-15). Of the Nephite people that remained, it is claimed that only General Mormon and his son Moroni survived the battle to bury the gold plates of the Book of Mormon in the hill Cumorah (Mormon 6:6). Where is the Hill Cumorah? Joseph Smith claimed that this hill is in upstate New York where he allegedly found the gold plates. However, some Mormon apologists disagree, not only due to the lack of battleground artifacts found on the Hill Cumorah in New York, but also due to the problems with the Book of Mormons own geographical claims. Note the following passages: ETHER 10:20: And they built a great city by the narrow neck of land, by the place where the sea divides the land. ALMA 63:5: Andhe went forth and built him an exceedingly large ship, on the borders of the land Bountiful, by the land Desolation, and launched it forth into the west sea, by the narrow neck which led into the land northward.

sins, and followed His commandments, you will be able to enjoy eternal life in our Heavenly Fathers presence. WHAT MORMON.ORG DOES NOT TELL YOU ABOUT HEAVENLY FATHERS PLAN Heavenly Mother and the pre-existence Mormonism teaches that you were born as a spirit baby to Heavenly Father and a Heavenly Mother. While Mormon.org mentions the Mormon teaching that mankind pre-existed with God in Heaven before coming to earth, it fails to mention that Mormonism teaches that God has at least one wife in Heaven that He used to procreate the multitudes of spirit-bodies that populate the mortal bodies of people here on earth. Thus, according to Mormonism, you were born as a spirit baby to a Heavenly Mother wife. Can you imagine one wife populating this entire planet of several billion people? Such would be quite an enormous task! This is one reason why some early Mormon leaders taught that God has many wives to help Him. Note the following quotes from Mormon leaders: In the Heaven where our spirits were born, there are many gods, each one of whom has his own wife or wives which were given to him previous to his redemption, while yet in his mortal state. Each God, through his wife or wives, raises up a numerous family of sons and daughters; ...for each father and mother will be in a condition to multiply forever and ever. As soon as each god has begotten many millions of male and female spirits ...he, in connection with his sons, organizes a new world, ...where he sends both the male and female spirits to inhabit tabernacles of flesh and bones. Thus each God forms a world for the accommodation of his own sons and daughters... The inhabitants of each world are required to reverence, adore, and worship their own personal father who dwells in the heaven which they formerly inhabited. LDS Apostle Orson Pratt, The Seer, 1853 (1990 ed.), vol. 1, p. 37 If none but Gods will be permitted to multiply immortal children, it follows that each God must have one or more wives But if we have a heavenly Mother as well as a heavenly Father, is it not right that we should worship the Mother of our spirits as well as the Father? No; for the Father of our spirits is at the head of His household, and His wives and children are required to yield the most perfect obedience to their great Head. LDS Apostle Orson Pratt, The Seer, 1853 (1990 ed.), vol. 1, pp. 158-159 You will see the time when you will have millions of children around you. If you are faithful to your covenants, you will be mothers of nations. We are expressly told that God is the Father of spirits, and to apprehend the literalness of this solemn truth we must know that a mother of spirits is an existent personality. The Articles of Faith (1890), 1996ed., Apostle James E. Talmage, p. 443 The Mormon belief of becoming Gods Mormons believe that the purpose of this life is to work toward becoming a God like Heavenly Father after you die. This doctrine of man becoming gods is a foundational doctrine of Mormonism that is noticeably missing from the Mormon.org websites explanation of Heavenly Fathers Plan. Even Mormonisms founder, Joseph Smith, proclaimed: It is the first principle of the Gospel to know for a certainty the Character of Godthat he was once a man like us and you have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, compiled by Joseph Fielding Smith, pp. 345-346) One wonders how such first principle of the Mormon Gospel could be missing from the Mormon Churchs official website! Note the following statements about the doctrine of man becoming gods from many prominent Mormon Prophets and Apostles: God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man. It is the first principle of the Gospel to know for a certainty the Character of Godthat he was once a man like us; yea, that God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ himself did. Here, then, is eternal lifeto know the only wise and true God; and you have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves, and to be kings and priests to God, the same as all Gods have done before you Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, compiled by Joseph Fielding Smith, 1976, pp. 345-346 The Lord created you and me for the purpose of becoming Gods like Himself. We are created, we are born for the express purpose of growing up from the low estate of manhood, to become Gods like unto our Father in heaven.Brigham Young (2nd LDS Prophet), Journal of Discourses, vol. 3, p. 93 Mormon prophets have continuously taught the sublime truth that God the Eternal Father was once a mortal man who passed through a school of earth life similar to that through which we are now passing. He became God an exalted being through obedience to the same eternal Gospel truths that we are given opportunity today to obey. In June, 1840, Lorenzo Snow [5th LDS Prophet] formulated the following famous couplet: As man is, God once was; as God is man may become. The Gospel Through the Ages, 1945, by Milton R. Hunter, pp. 104106 Jesus Christ, our Redeemer and Savior, has given us our map a code of laws and commandments whereby we might attain perfection and, eventually, godhood. As Gods offspring, we have His attributes in us. We are gods in embryo The Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, (13th LDS Prophet) 1988, p. 21 Because we are the spiritual children of our heavenly parents, we have inherited the potential to develop their divine qualities. Since we could not progress further in heaven, our Heavenly Father called a Grand Council to present his plan for our progression (see Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp. 348, 349, 365). We learned that if we followed his plan, we would become like him. We would have a resurrected body; we would have all power in heaven and on earth; we would become heavenly parents and have spirit children just as he does (see D&C 132:19-20). Gospel Principles, p. 14 And again if a man marry a wife by the new and everlasting covenant, and it is sealed unto them by the Holy Spirit of promise, by him who is anointed, unto whom I have appointed this power and the keys of this priesthood they shall pass by the angels, and the gods, which are set there, to their exaltation and glory in all things which glory shall be a fullness and a continuation of the seeds forever and ever. Then shall they be gods Then shall they be gods, because they have all power, and the angels are subject unto them. Doctrine and Covenants 132:19-20 While the fundamental principle of the Mormon Gospel is the belief that mankind has the potential of becoming gods, the true God of the Bible clearly states: ISAIAH 44:6, 8: I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. Is there a God beside me? Yea, there is no God; I know not any. ISAIAH 43:10: Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. ISAIAH 46:9: Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me. Mormonism and future polygamy Mormons still believe the practice of polygamy was commanded by God and that it will be practiced in Heaven. While Mormon.org admits that Mormons believe that Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, and Solomon and early Mormon leaders were commanded by God to practice Polygamy here on earth until 1890 (Doctrine and Covenants 132:1, 4), it fails to mention that Mormonism still teaches that polygamy will be practiced in Heaven. For example, Joseph Fielding Smith who became the 10th Prophet of the Mormon Church remarried twice after the death of his first wife Louise Shurtliff. On page 67 of the second volume of his Doctrines of Salvation books, he proclaimed: ...my wives will be mine in eternity. And Mormon Apostle Dallin H. Oaks is currently sealed to two wives, one of which is deceased. He did not become unsealed to his first wife because Mormonism still teaches

that he will be able to be married to both of them in Heaven. Mormon Church Apostle Charles W. Penrose, 1897, p.66 Not only does Mormonism teach that polygamy will be practiced in Heaven, Mormon leaders have taught that polygamy will again be practiced on earth during the future millennial reign of Christ. Mormon Apostle Bruce R. McConkie stated: plural marriage was openly taught and practiced until the year 1890. Obviously the holy practice will commence again after the Second Coming of the Son of Man and the ushering in of the millennium. Mormon Doctrine, 1966, 1986 ed., p. 578 While Mormons believe that early Mormon leaders were commanded by God to practice polygamy, many Mormons mistakenly believe that their leaders only married young virgins to account for a limited supply of men and that they married older widows whose husbands had already died. While this was the case with some of their leaders, history documents that Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism, married 33 wives in addition to his first wife Emma, 10 of whom were teenagers and 11 of whom were taken from living husbands behind their backs! Does Scripture agree with this practice? Most Mormons will agree that Scripture condemns adultery, but they forget that the Bible and the Book of Mormon also condemn the practice of polygamy as being abominable in Gods sight! Behold, David and Solomon truly had many wives and concubines, which thing was abominable before me, saith the Lord Wherefore, my brethren, hear me, and hearken to the word of the Lord: For there shall not any man among you have save it be one wife; and concubines he shall have none; For I, the Lord God, delight in the chastity of women. And whoredoms are an abomination before me; thus saith the Lord of Hosts. Jacob 2:24, 27-28 Book of Mormon And now it came to pass that the people of Nephi, under the reign of the second king, began to grow hard in their hearts, and indulge themselves somewhat in wicked practices, such as like unto David of old desiring many wives and concubines, and also Solomon, his son. Jacob 1:15, Book of Mormon A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife1 Timothy 3:2 ordain elders in every city If any be blameless, the husband of one wife Titus 1:5-6 For more information see: o The Purpose of Life Questions Answered Mormonism vs. Christianity: http://www.4mormon.org/mormon-life-purpose.php

o What is Satans Lie? http://www.4mormon.org/card-ldssatanlie.php o What would it be like to be a Mormon God? http://www.4mormon.org/card-ldsgod.php JESUS CHRIST OUR SAVIOR Mormon.org states: The first principle of the gospel is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Having faith in Christ means believing that He is the Son of God and that He suffered for your sins, afflictions, and infirmities. When you have faith in Christ, you accept and apply His Atonement and His teachings Having faith causes you to try as hard as you can to learn about and become more like your Savior Through repentance, the second principle of the gospel, you change thoughts, desires, habits, and actions that are not in harmony with Gods teachings To repent, you Stop sinning and strive never to commit sin again WHAT MORMON.ORG DOES NOT TELL YOU ABOUT JESUS CHRIST: Jesus the Son of God is eternal, not procreated. Mormons do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God in the same way that Christians believe Jesus is Gods Son. While Christians believe the Biblical teaching that Jesus is called Gods Son because He possesses the full nature of the eternal God (John 5:18; Colossians 2:9) and has always existed being, without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life (Hebrews 7:3), Mormons do NOT believe that Jesus has always existed. Rather, they teach that Jesus spirit form was conceived by a procreative act between God (Heavenly Father) and His wife (Heavenly Mother) in a pre-existent world. The Encyclopedia of Mormonism, explains: Jesus, however, is the firstborn among all the sons of Godthe first begotten in the spirit, and the only begotten in the flesh. He is our elder, brother, and we, like Him, are in the image of God. All men and women are in the similitude of the universal Father and Mother, and are literally the sons and daughters of Deity. Encyclopedia of Mormonism, vol. 4, 1992, p. 1667 The Biblical Jesus is not Lucifers brother. Because the Mormon Church teaches that Jesus spirit was born in Heaven, they also believe that Jesus and Lucifer are spirit-brothers. LDS Church manual, Gospel Principles and the LDS Church Publication, Ensign, explain: We needed a Savior to pay for our sins and teach us how to return to our Heavenly Father. Our Father said, Whom shall I send? (Abraham 3:27). Two of our brothers offered to help. Our oldest brother, Jesus Christ, who was then called Jehovah, said, Here am I, send me (Abraham 3:27) Satan, who was called Lucifer, also came, saying, Behold, here am I, send me, I will be thy son, and I will redeem all mankind Gospel Principles, pp. 17-18

On first hearing, the doctrine that Lucifer and our Lord, Jesus Christ, are brothers may seem surprising to someespecially to those unacquainted with latter-day revelations. But both the scriptures and the prophets affirm that Jesus Christ and Lucifer are indeed offspring of our Heavenly Father and, therefore, spirit brothers... as the Firstborn of the Father, Jesus was Lucifers older brother. I Have a Question, Ensign, June 1986, pp. 2526 This belief that Jesus and Lucifer are brothers is the opposite of what true Christians believe because the Bible says that Jesus created all thingsthat are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible (Colossians 1:16). This must include Lucifer as well as all the other angels of God and mankind. Therefore, Jesus and Lucifer cannot possibly be spirit-brothers! The LDS Jesus blood is insufficient to cover all sins. The Mormon Church does not teach that Jesus suffered for all of our sins, but rather, that He suffered for only those sins that lie within the power of His blood to forgive. The Prophet Joseph Smith and LDS Apostle Joseph Fielding Smith (who became Mormonisms 10th Prophet) explained: But man may commit certain grievous sinsthat will place him beyond the reach of the atoning blood of Christ. If then he would be saved he must make sacrifice of his own life to atoneso far as in his power liesfor that sin, for the blood of Christ alone under certain circumstances will not avail. Joseph Smith taught that there were certain sins so grievous that man may commit, that they will place the transgressors beyond the power of the atonement of Christ. If these offenses are committed, then the blood of Christ will not cleanse them from their sins even though they repent. Therefore their only hope is to have their own blood shed to atone, as far as possible, in their behalf. Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 1, pp. 134-135 The LDS Jesus requires you to do all you can do. Mormon.org states that to have faith in Christ you must try as hard as you can to learn about and become more like your Savior. However, Mormon.org fails to warn you that according to Mormonism it is not good enough just to try as hard as you can to become like the Savior. You must do all you can do, and deny yourselves of ALL ungodliness BEFORE you can receive the grace of Christ for salvation. Consider the following statements from the Book of Mormon: o 2 NEPHI 25:23: For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do. Can you imagine the kind of pressure that this Book of Mormon verse place upon Mormons? Consider these questions: Have you done all you can do? Isnt there something you can think of that you havent done, that you can do for salvation? At what point have done enough?

o MORONI 10:32: Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. The little words if and then make all the difference in this Book of Mormon passage. It is clear that if you do not deny yourselves of ALL ungodliness, then Jesus grace is insufficient for you. Mormons, have you denied yourselves of ALL ungodliness? At what point are you sure that all ungodliness has been denied and that you will never sin again? Given these statements and others like them found in Mormon Scripture, it comes as no surprise that LDS Apostle Spencer W. Kimball (who became Mormonisms 12th Prophet) and the Prophet Joseph Smith stated: There is one crucial test of repentance. This is abandonment of the sin. The saving power does not extend to him who merely wants to change his life. Nor is repentance complete when one merely tries to abandon sin....To try is weak. To do the best I can is not strong. We must always do better than we can... The Miracle of Forgiveness, pp. 163-165 Repentance is a thing that cannot be trifled with every day. Daily transgression and daily repentance is not that which is pleasing in the sight of God. Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 148 The LDS Jesus cannot save you in your sins. Regarding repentance, Mormon.org states that one must Stop sinning and strive never to commit sin again. This statement, stop sinning, is the true LDS definition of repentance. However, Mormon.org fails to explain that according to Mormonism, if one does not stop sinning but continues to repeat the sin they are held accountable for their former sins (Gospel Principles, p. 253) and the Mormon Jesus cannot save them in their sins (Alma 11:37). Note the following statements from Mormon Doctrine and Covenants Scripture and the Book of Mormon: o D&C 82:7: And now, verily I say unto you, I, the Lord, will not lay any sin to your charge; go your ways and sin no more; but unto that soul who sinneth shall the former sins return, saith the Lord your God. o D&C 58:43: By this ye may know if a man repenteth of his sins behold, he will confess them and forsake them. o ALMA 11:37: And I say unto you again that he cannot save them in their sins; for I cannot deny his word, and he hath said that no unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of heaven; therefore, how can ye be saved, except ye inherit the kingdom of heaven? Therefore, ye cannot be saved in your sins.

Far from the Jesus of Mormonism who is: o A procreated spirit-brother of Lucifer and all mankind, o Whose blood cannot cleanse all sin, o Whose grace is insufficient to cover the one who hasnt denied himself of all ungodliness, o Who requires the complete abandonment of sin before forgiveness is granted, o And who is unable to save one in their sins, The Jesus of the Bible is: o God eternal (John 1:1; John 5:18; Colossians 2:9; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 7:3), o Who created Lucifer and all mankind, (Colossians 1:16; John 1:3), o Whose blood covers all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9), o Whose grace is all sufficient to cover the ungodly and unworthy sinner (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 11:6; 4:4-5; 5:8), o Whose forgiveness covers sin immediately upon confession (1 John 1:9), o And who is able to save you in your sins, by washing them away, As far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). Why not place your trust in the true Jesus of the Bible today! He ALONE is the only one who can save you. o ISAIAH 45:21-22: There is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me. confirm the truth of the Book of Mormon and the gospel of Jesus Christ as restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. WHAT MORMON.ORG DOES NOT TELL YOU ABOUT HOW TO KNOW TRUTH: Moronis challenge does not prove the LDS Church is true. If one takes Moronis challenge to pray about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and receives a personal testimony about the Book of Mormon being true, this does not prove the Mormon Church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) is also true. o There are over 100 splinter groups of Mormonism that have broken away from the mainline LDS Church, but all still hold to the Book of Mormon as Scripture and Joseph Smith as a Prophet of God. If taking Moronis challenge proves the LDS Church is true, why do all the other members of these splinter groups of Mormonism have the same personal testimony from the Holy Ghost that their churches are true simply by taking Moronis challenge? How can the Holy Ghost reveal to each person that his or her different church is true and yet all of these splinter groups disagree amongst themselves as to what the truth really is? Remember, God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). o Many doctrines of the Mormon Church either disagree with the teachings of the Book of Mormon or are completely missing from the text. Since the Book of Mormon disagrees with the LDS Church, how can a personal feeling (testimony) that the Book of Mormon is true prove that the LDS Church itself is also true? The following is a brief chart of LDS teachings that are missing from the text or are in conflict with the Book of Mormons teachings: Mormon Doctrine There are many Gods and God the Father had a Father God before Him. (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 370) God has not always been God from all eternity. He was a man who grew to become God. (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp. 345-346) God is an exalted Man and has a body of flesh and bones. (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp. 345-346; Doctrine and Covenants, 130:22) God is married in heaven and families are forever in heaven. (Our Heavenly Family chapter 2 of Gospel Principles, pp. 11-15; Doctrine and Covenants, 132:19-20) Temple participation including the receiving of endowments and marriage for time and eternity is essential for exaltation into the highest level of glory. (Gospel Principles, pp. 297, 303-304)

Verily, verily, I say unto you, that this is my doctrine and whoso shall declare more or less than this, and establish it for my doctrine, the same cometh of evil 3 Nephi 11:39-40, Book of Mormon Joseph Smith admitted that personal revelation is able to come from Satan. Joseph Smith admitted that personal revelation not only comes from God, but can also come from Satan and ones deceptive heart. When the Prophet Joseph Smith received a failed revelation to sell the Book of Mormon copyright in Canada, he is quoted in David Whitmers book, Address to All Believers in Christ, as saying: Some revelations are of God: some revelations are of man: and some revelations are of the devil. Address to All Believers in Christ, 1887, p. 31 The Bible agrees with Joseph Smith on this when it warns us not to trust ones heart because feelings of the heart can be deceptive. JEREMIAH 17:9: The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Beliefs must be tested. Wisdom cannot reveal truth. Beliefs must be tested. Wisdom cannot reveal truth and knowledge. James 1:5 states: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. Joseph Smith claimed that when he prayed for wisdom according to James 1:5, he received the revelation that all the churches were wrong and that God had a plan for him to be used in restoring the alleged lost gospel from the earth (Joseph Smith - History 1:11, 13, 19). Using this passage, Mormons often admonish potential converts to follow Joseph Smiths example in praying for wisdom to determine the truthfulness of Mormonism. However, wisdom cannot reveal truth. Nelsons New Illustrated Bible Dictionary, gives the following definition for wisdom: WISDOM ability to judge correctly and to follow the best course of action, based on knowledge and understanding. (http://www.ebible.com/dict/NNIBD/wisdom) Since wisdom is merely the application of knowledge, wisdom without facts and knowledge cannot lead anyone to the truth. Truth is based upon objective facts, not subjective personal feelings. Thus, to determine truth, one must test ideas and prove them to be true or false by the objective standards of logic reason and through the study of the Bible. Take note of the following quotes from former Mormon Prophets and Apostles. You will see that Mormon leaders used to emphasize the importance of using objective, logical study and analysis to determine if Mormonism is true: Take up the Bible, compare the religion of the Latter-day Saints with it, and see if it will stand the test. If Joseph Smith was a deceiver, who wilfully attempted to mislead the people, then he should be exposed; his claims should be refuted, and his doctrines shown to be false, for the doctrines of an impostor cannot be made to harmonize in all particulars with divine truth. If his claims and declarations were built upon fraud and deceit, there would appear many errors and contradictions, which would be easy to detect. The doctrines of false teachers will not stand the test when tried by the accepted standards of measurement, the scriptures.Joseph Fielding Smith, Doctrines of Salvation, 1954, vol. 1, p. 188 5 If we cannot convince you by reason nor by the word of God, that your religion is wrong, we will not persecute you we ask from you the same generosity convince us of our errors of doctrine, if we have any, by reason, by logical arguments, or by the word of God, and we will be ever grateful for the information. The Seer, Orson Pratt, 1854, p. 15 Indeed, the Bible agrees with these statements as the following passages illustrate: 1 THESSALONIANS 5:21: Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. ACTS 17:11: These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
