Work in the front section of the Keystone Parking Lot is scheduled to continue this week.

Work in this area will consist of the installation of the first course of asphalt and temporary line striping. As soon as the front section of the Keystone has the temporary line striping installed, it will be reopened to the public for use. The reconstruction of the sidewalk adjacent to the parking lot on Eastern Avenue is scheduled to continue this week. Work will consist of grading the sidewalk area for the placement of temporary asphalt. The existing seven (7) on-street parking spaces in this area will be unavailable during working hours when work takes place in this area for grading and the installation of the asphalt. This section of sidewalk will be temporarily reopened to the public after the asphalt is installed. The remainder of the reconstruction work associated with this section of sidewalk is anticipated to continue in a few weeks at which time the sidewalk will again be temporarily closed. The reconstruction of the Keystone Parking Lot retaining wall is scheduled to continue this week. Work will consist of dismantling the existing wall, excavation of soil behind the wall to accommodate the location of the new retaining wall, the construction of the new concrete retaining wall and facing the concrete retaining wall with stone veneers cut from the existing retaining wall blocks. Approximately 250 feet of sidewalk adjacent to the retaining wall from Eastern Avenue to the Route 1 bridge overpass will be closed for approximately 8-10 weeks. The existing 10 parking spaces located on High Street adjacent to the retaining wall may become unavailable while the wall is being dismantled if the safety of pedestrians and motorists becomes a concern. Upon completion of the wall dismantling, the parking spaces will again become available. Installation of the final two traffic mast arm foundations will occur in the northwesterly and southeasterly corners of the Washington Street & High Street intersection. Drainage work is scheduled to continue this week at the following locations; Washington Street near High Street, within the immediate intersection of High Street and Washington Street and within the immediate intersection of High Street and Eastern Avenue. Two to three on-street parking spaces may be unavailable while work in these areas take place, but should be available at the end of each work day. The work areas will be steel plated or backfilled at the conclusion of each work day. It is anticipated that two-way traffic will be maintained during these hours.

Except where noted above, the working hours for this week will be 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
