In the name of Allah, the most gracious and the most merciful, peace be upon to the prophet Muhammad

SAW. Assalamualaikum wbt and a very good morning I bit to the master of ceremony, the honourable judges, the time keeper and my fellow friends. TODAY I will be delivering a speech entitled, Strong Akidah Strong Ummah.

Before we go any further, allow me to define the topic of today. The word STRONG is defined as enduring, sturdy, energetic and robust. While AKIDAH means religious tenets that form the basic of Faith that are reliable. That is, the Tenets of Faith. Faith to Allah, Faith to the Angels, Faith to the Quran, Faith to Rasulullah SAW, Faith to the Last Day and Faith to Qada and Qadar. On the other hand, UMMAH means the whole muslim world. In a nut shell, this speech will be focused on how to gain Strong Akidah for Strong UMMAH.

Ladies and Gentleman, Do you remember the story of Prophet Muhammad SAW migrated from Makkah to Madinah with the Muhajirins? The people of Madinah, that is the Ansars, were willing to help the Prophet and the Muhajirins by giving them money. Their aim is to help those who are migrating to build a new life there. Why were they willing to do that? It is clear that they believed and have Faith to Allah and Rasulullah. They believed that Allah will reward them with good benefits that are abundants. So, they helped the Jihad in Allahs way. Likewise, the Muhajirins that are willing to migrate for religion. The Ansars and Muhajirins Strong Faith have pleasant Rasulullah to tighten Muhajirins and Ansars ukhuwah. Their Strong ukhuwah has lead to the opening of first Islamic Civilized Government Madinah through Madinah Charter. This shows that Ansars and Muhajirins have become Strong Ummah.

So, what do we have to do to achive that level of Akidah? Through prayer of course! Rasulullah SAW said, The prayer is the pillar of religion. Who perform the prayer he would uphold his religion and who do not worship or pray, he destroy and demolish his religion. Based on the Hadis, Rasulullah SAW reminded us to perform prayer five times a day in order to protect the ISLAM pillar in addition to maintain the relationship with our creator, Allah and increase our Faith to Him. On 17 Ramadan 2 hijri, Rasulullah SAW has hit a man names Sawad ibn Ghaziyyah on his stomach during Badar Wars because he was out of the line a little. This shows that Rasullullah is very sensitive about straighten the saf during jihad including during congregational prayer. Saf that are not close, dreaded that enemy will take the opportunity to discredit Muslims. Hadis is a collection on Rasululahs words and actions on how to conduct our daily life as mentioned in Al-Quran. So, when we close the saf during prayer, that is follow the Rasulullah instruction, we are keeping alive his SUNNAH and that is the way to have Faith in Rasulullah. Ummah will be firmly united, not shaky.

Next, Rasulullahs famous parting words were: I bequeath to you two things, if you hold fast to both of them, you will not be lost forever. They are Al-Quran and Hadis. Based on the Hadis, Rasulullah told us to follow Al-Quran and Hadis because all aspects of life is in the Quran and Hadis. Al-Quran and Hadis have listed down rules and regulations that need to be followed to ensure our lives comply with the teaching of Islam. Practice Islamic lifestyles and recite the Quran with its meaning are the ways to gain Faith to the Quran. Al-Quran Law that is Syariah if practiced in our daily society, Ummah will become stronger because Syariah Law teaches others to learn from peoples past sins.

Allah says in the Quran in Surah Al-Maidah verse 38: The man who steals and the woman who steals, cut off both hands retaliation for what they did, and as a punishment from Allah. And Allah is Mighty, More Wise. From the verse, Quran which covers all aspects of life including Syariah has ordered to cut off the hand of stealers. IF someone have Faith to the Angels, the person will be embarrassed and afraid to make sins even when alone. HE or she would be shy to Angel Rakid and Atid THAT are always there to note down all of our everyday deeds. Peoples whom have FAITH to the Last Day will also afraid to make sins because they know both bad and good things will be rewarded one day with hell or heaven. IF one person does not have Faith to the Angels and the LAST Day, UMMAH will be divided because of certain groups of people whom are not afraid of sins and like to do chaos. The Feeling of fear to the Angels and to the Last Day can be gain by learning the knowledge of Islam. ALL of this can be refer back to the basic of Islam that is refer to the Quran and Sunnah.

Dear Listeners, Qada means implementation. While, Qadar means manner of measure, fate, or the provisions of Allah. However, Qada can be change through prayer. In Surah At-Taubah verse 51, Allah says: Say (o Muhammad) Nothing will ever happen to us unless Allah has ordained for us. He was the protector, who saved us and (with the belief that) the step that to Allah, the Believers sole trust. Based on the verse, Allah told us that everything happen were designed. We have to accept with what has happen. For example, a student who has failed a test, should not give up. Muslims seem weak and easily oppressed by enemies of Islam. A person when being tested should always remember that every of Allahs plan has its wisdom. Allah says in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 286: Allah does not burden someone except with the persons ability.

As a conclusion, strong Aqidah can be gain through prayer, keeping alive Rasulullahs Sunnah, practice Islamic lifestyles according Quran and Sunnah, recite the Quran with its meaning, learning the knowledge of Islam and remember that everythings happen for a reason. Here, I strongly believe that Strong Aqidah can lead to Strong Ummah. Thank you (:
