Cinematography in Do the Right Thing In Do the Right Thing we can see how carefully are used camera movements,

distance, focus, and angle of the camera shot to emphasize the racial tensions between the characters. In the film are used different camera angles that spectator can have better understanding of relationships between the characters. For example low angles are used in some scenes with Radio Raheem and Tony which highlight dramatic differences in stature between Radio Raheem and Tony and how they see one another, also when they are arguing the camera appears to be flip flopping between two of them to emphasize the anger amongst them. Movements of the camera, also, help that spectator has stronger understanding about the racial tensions between the characters. In most of the film camera's movements are rapid shot-reverse-shots because characters are often arguing. These movements of the camera create sense of tension. The camera's distance from the characters helps to viewer to be more emotionally involved with some characters point of view. For example, the camera is close up on characters, and the viewer has a feeling that is placed in the middle of the action line. It increases the sense of mental and emotional stress that characters endure from dealing with one another in the stressed situations.
