ABSTRAK

PT. Ecogreen Oleochemicals adalah salah satu industri oleokimia yang mengolah minyak inti kelapa sawit. Salah satu parameter penentuan minyak inti kelapa sawit adalah bilangan peroksida yaitu banyaknya miliekuivalen peroksida dalam 1000 gram lemak. Penentuan bilangan peroksida dapat dilakukan dengan metode iodometri, dari hasil penelitian terhadap minyak inti kelapa sawit diperoleh bilangan peroksida ; 0,54 0,64 meq. Bila dibandingkan bilangan peroksida dari minyak inti kelapa sawit ini dengan standard mutu minyak inti kelapa sawit yang ditetapkan oleh Direktorat Jenderal Perkebunan (2,2 meq) maka bilangan peroksida dari minyak inti kelapa sawit yang diukur masih berada dibawah bilangan peroksida yag ditetapkan menurut standard mutu.

DETERMINATION OF PEROXIDE VALUE FROM PALM KERNEL OIL (CPKO) IN PT. ECOGREEN OLEOCHEMICALS ABSTRACT

PT. Ecogreen Oleochemicals is one of the industry of oleochemals, which process raw materials into products of palm kernel oil fatty acid, fatty alcohol and glycerine. One of the parameters determining the palm kernel oil is the determination of peroxide is mean miliequivalent of sodium thiosulfat which needed to titration of 1000 gram fats. Peroxide value of states lack the size unsaturated oil or fat and are also associated with unsaturated fatty acid content in the oil. Increase in peroxide value only indications and warnings that oil will soon be smelling rancid. The higher the number the lower the peroxide quality of such oil. Berdasarkan analisa bilangan peroksida pada minyak inti kelapa sawit adalah lebih kecil dari 2,2 meq. dan data bilangan peroksida ini sesuai standat mutu metode PT. Ecogreen Oleochemicals
