Thunder Will Fall on Israel if it Attacks: Iran Supreme Leader: Al Arabiya Attack by Israel on Iran will blow back on the Jewish state like thunder, Ayatollah Khamenei, said Sunday. If Israelis make any misstep or wrong action, it will fall on their heads like thunder, Khamenei said in a speech marking the 1989 death of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. International political circles and media talk about the danger of a nuclear Iran, that a nuclear Iran is dangerous. I say that they lie. They are deceiving, Khamenei said. What they are afraid of, and should be afraid of, is not a nuclear, but an Islamic Iran. What Americans and Westerners do is idiotic. They magnify the nuclear issue to cover up their own problems, Khamenei added. (Source: Dubai, UAE; Independent; Claim Neutrality)

Troops, Insurgents Battle in Center of Southern Yemen: The Daily Star Troops battled insurgents in Zinjibar Sunday, killing six and losing two, as part of a US-supported drive to recapture territory held by AQ-linked fighters. Officials and residents also said troops killed five fighters near Jaar, another insurgent-controlled town about 30 km from Zinjibar. US is backing the offensive and stepped up campaign of drone strikes against AQ. Israel Arming Subs with Nuke Missiles: Arab News Israel is arming submarines, supplied and largely financed by Germany, with nuclear-tipped, Der Spiegel reports. The magazine said Berlin had denied knowledge that German subs were being used as part of an Israeli atomic arsenal. The article cited files from the foreign ministry in Berlin indicating that the West Germany was aware of the practice as early as 1961. Germany already supplied Israel with three subs, footing most of the bill, and three to be delivered by 2017 under a recently signed contract. Like the US, it refused to rule out bombing Iranian nuclear sites. Germany, bearing the guilt of the Holocaust, is Israel's closest ally in Europe. (Source: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Daily; Undetermined)
