MAJOR, MODIFICATION AND IMPROVEMENT JOB LIST FOR PHASE #1&2

Major Jobs
1. CHP BCN 02, 04, 05, 06, 09 & 10 zero speed one by one taken in service after

mounting arrangement modified because earlier used to damaged proximity due to coal same way modified the electrical wiring also checked found all are working except BCN 01want of cable PO ACPCPL/TCL/756.
2. Boiler 1& 2 12 attemperator control valves overhauling done due to heavy

passing with external party after seat maintenance done & plug & stem replaced with new than put into service found working satisfactory but recently got a complained from operation that Boiler 01 is passing at shut condition.
3. Boiler 1&2 Feed water station 40% & 100%control valve observed passing same

has attended with external party checked after overhauling found no passing observed at shut condition.
4. Boiler 02 startup vent control valve observed passing at shut condition,

overhauling done in Boiler running condition after isolation of manual valve & confirmation taken in service found no passing at valve shut condition. Modification Jobs
1. DCS revamping done from Siemens to Invensys with all support from

Hyderabad, Chennai & site.

2. Both boilers ash level probes protection supports provided due to frequent

damages of probes found working satisfactory.

Improvement Jobs 1. Turbine 03 rd extraction steam line temperature gauge mounting work mounting plate not available. Mechanical dept. preparing the mounting plate. So mounting work was pending.
2. Boiler 1& 2 oxygen analyser observed that frequently alarm (Damping %) &

value was not getting if an unless restart the analyser than closed observed & found atmosphere to the analyser temperature was more so it is shifted to far from the original position, and calibrated with standard gas then after it is working properly.

3. Both Boilers Drum Level Jumbo Display installed & taken into service

working satisfactory, Separate power supply provided if DCS failed also we can able to view the Drum level.
4. Recommended additional temperature point to both boilers thermo well,

thermocouple with termination is completed waiting for DCS FBM & TCA cards PO: ACPCPL/IIPL/ 736 raised.
5. DM plant- chlorine leakage alarm at DCS control room & auto start chlorine

blower system made ready checked & put PM schedule also every month found working satisfactory.
6. Boiler 03 Bed ash cooler conveying system 1 & 2 panel shifted from boiler 0

meter to 3 meter due to frequent burning the cable & hose from hot bed material, after shifting checked & taken into service.
7. Turbine local speed indicator taken in service from beginning it was not

commissioned checked & found that digital indicator was not functioning purchased new indicator cable laid, terminated & taken in service found working. (13.12.2011).
