DB2 Restoration Process:

1) Find the following information : Post batch back-up of TCB702Q to TCB702D (Batch Dev). The input dataset name: like TCBQ.V702.BKP.AUL.*.*.D090131 (Post copy) or TCBQ.V702.BKP.BUL.*.*.D090131 (Pre copy) or DG20UL.V.B.BLC.DP70BX3A.LIQTS001.D100326A for 3A and 3B Time when the restore needs to be initiated. Say for Example if the restoration is from TCB702Q to TCB702D (Batch Dev):

1) Go to 3.4 and list all the files TCBQ.V702.BKP.AUL.*.*.D090131 2) Give p for printing to temporary dataset in the command line and press F3. 3) In the last screen give option 4 to retrieve the temp dataset 4) Copy the file TSCH059.SPF1.LIST where all the files got printed and give : X all;f all TCBQ.V702 X all listing Del all X c all p'' p' ' 50 121 (( ((2 -- to move two spaces in the left column

5) Delete the following TS:

5) Copy the same file to TSCH059.DB2.RESTORE(DB01QLST) 6) Go to the job TSCH059.DB2.RESTORE(RXLDGEN) and change the following :

Change the date where the load is copied (TSCH059.LOAD.TCBD.LOAD.D090630 )

//S1 SET CHNG1=DD //S2 SET CHNG2=21 (or) 31 //S3 SET OLDCRT=TCB702Q //S4 SET NEWCRT=TCB702D

** FIRST 2 CHAR OF THE TARGET DB ** LAST 2 CHAR OF THE TARGET DB ** CREATOR OF THE ORIGIN TABLES ** CREATOR OF THE TARGET TABLES

8) After the changes are made submit the job.

9) Write a mail to madras_tcb_development to refrain using this environment

Verify the number of lines copied to this load dataset from TSCH059.DB2.RESTORE(DB01QLST) by using the following command :

X all;f all TCB702D ( here TCB702D is the Target Table Creator name to verify the no of the dataset copied ) TSCH059.LOAD.TCBD.LOAD.D090630 go to the dataset and do the changes:

To submit all the jobs in the load dataset give: X all;f all TSCH059 Change the job name to A,B, C etc and submit it. ( After changing the Job names come out of the job go in View mode and submit it till TSCH059L and delete remaining lines and do the vice versa to avoid the B37 error ). 10)Once all the jobs are completed go and submit the TSCH059.DB2.RESTORE (CPYD or CPY703D according to the request) .Change the date in DSN 'DB01UL.RSTBKUP.D090721.&DB..&TS.' accordingly before submitting the job. Note: 1) this job is taking a copy of the current restoration. 2) Submit the job as per the restoration environment.
