Former Commander of Irans Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, warned that in case of a military attack, Iran would strike back at its enemies with equal force and with reciprocal levels of damage. "We don't have direct access to the US territory, but Americans have a number of bases and interests in the region. Bomb Hits Shia Site in Baghdad, 26 Killed: Dawn A suicide bomber detonated an explosive-packed car outside a Shia Muslim office in central Baghdad, killing at least 26 people and wounding more than 190 in an attack bearing the hallmarks of Iraqs alQaeda affiliate. The bombing on a Shia religious office comes at a sensitive time, with the countrys fractious Shia, Sunni and Kurdish blocs locked in a crisis that threatens to unravel their power-sharing deal and spill into sectarian tensions. The attacker targeted the Shia Endowment, a government-run body that manages Shia religious and cultural sites. The areas were Alam-ZinjibarShuqra road, Arqoub road, Ahwar road, Jaheen-Amain, Harour-Jaar road, Jaar-Zinjibar road and Khubar-Wadhi road. The curfew, which came into effect at 6:00 pm Monday, has been triggered by terrorist operations and aims to protect the locals. Hundreds of Egyptians continued to protest in Cairo and other governorates against the verdict issued against ousted President Hosni Mubarak and his former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly. As regards deaths of more than 100 people in Houla, Assad stated not even "monsters" would carry out such an ugly crime.
