Your Ref DOT L/742 (45) The Director Department of Tourism Private Bag 0047 Gaborone Botswana ATTENTION: Mr. Kagiso Bonang Dear Sir RE: INSPECT ION RESPONSE-SAWA SAWA HOTEL Thank you very much for your letter referenced DOT L/742 (45) dated 12th January 2012. We are grateful to advice you that we have rectified all failures identified by your inspection team and we are now ready for re-inspection. Reception Area -Please note that in December, 2011 we terminated most of our receptionists due to care misappropriation. However, we have now managed to provide uniforms and name tags for our staff. -First Aid Box has been refilled with twin aid kit. Bedroom 2 All stains in Bathroom sink and toilet have been removed by the use of lime away chemical.

Bedroom 3 Our maintenance crew, jointly with housekeeping have replaced light bulbs the same day the problem was identified and daily inspections are in place. -New mattress was brought in from Gaborone and has since been replaced and receipts/invoices are on site for physical inspection proof. Bedroom 4 -New mattress were bought and have since been replaced, receipts/invoice are on site for physical inspection proof. Bedroom 5 Two side lamps were at the maintenance workshop for plug replacements and are so far in place. Bedroom 7 This room is used by our visiting management team or as additional room for under-age kids. The grading team has approved its usage. Bedroom 8 All bins are provided with plastic lining and at the time your inspecting team came, room cleaning was in progress however we have briefed all housekeepers about your findings and recommendations. Bedroom 9 Mattress was replaced on Saturday 14th January, 2012; receipts/invoices are on site for physical proof or inspection. Bedroom 13 -We had excess hangers in the wardrobe and this is as result of long term clients who normally request for excess hangers, but we have so far complied with your tourism advice. Laundry First Aid kit has been bought and provided to this section as per your advice. Bar Five fire extinguishers have been serviced and are on site. Dining Area A backup generator is available in case of any power outages Kitchen -We have bought additional 10 plastic containers and we have so far briefed kitchen staff to separate red and white meat. -Cupboards and general cleaning has been carried out and will be maintained at all times. -All chipped/cracked utensils have been removed and discarded.
