Dear Sir, APPLICATION TO BECOME A LIAISON OFFFICER FOR 7TH SIFF 2012 With regards to the above, I am very delighted to apply for an attachment with your organisation for the post of Liaison Officer (LO) for the 7th Sabah International Folklore Festival 2012. Currently, I just finished my study at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Terengganu and took a Bachelors Degree in English with a minor in Communication. Now, I am waiting for my convocation ceremony on this coming November. I am very interested to join this festival (SIFF) since I had joint it before during the 6 th SIFF 2011 and I found, it is a place for me to gain some more knowledge about the culture of the other countries and from there also we can exchange our knowledge, expand our social network, meet new friends and of course from this festival also I can gain more experience on how to communicate with the people with different language, culture as well as religion. In addition, now as a post graduate student I need to improve my communication skill and improve my other soft skills in order to get prepare for my work life later. I think this festival can give me the opportunity to apply all the knowledge that I had learnt in university and try to improve it in a better way.

For your information, I had studied several elements in linguistic field such as English Phonetic and Phonology, Morphology and Syntax, Semantic, Psycholinguistic, etc. As my major and several communication subjects which is my minor related to the current practices of communication management such as the Principles of Corporate Communication, Human Communication, Introduction to Public Relations, Intercultural Communication and Negotiation and Communication as well as Strategic Communication Planning and Integrated Marketing Communication, Events Management and Planning etc. I believe that the above subjects are important in the current operation and practices of communication management which are relevant to the needs of your organisation. In addition, I also had done my industrial training in Sabah cultural Board for 3 months (June-August 2011) at Research, Communication & Corporate Services Division. Ive learnt many things while Im doing my practical there and I think it helps me in understand how your organisation operates the festival.
