milk About us mud australia is a Sydney-based homeware design company founded in 1994 by Shelley Simpson. All pieces are complementary and designed to emphasise natural lines and functionality. Each piece is entirely hand made in our Sydney studio from the best materials available. Our design and production process combines to ensure each piece of mud australia is unique. Process and care Colour is tinted through the porcelain clay to provide a colour depth not available from surface glazing. Clear glaze is then applied to the interior of each piece leaving the exterior with a vitrified stone-like surface that becomes smooth with handling. mud australia porcelain is oven, microwave, dishwasher and food safe making it ideal for domestic and commercial use at the table and in the kitchen. Please note mud australia porcelain is dishwasher, oven and microwave safe, however, this is a handmade product and should be treated with care during use. Irregularities in size, glaze and texture are part of the product and should be enjoyed and embraced. If sold direct we will replace breakages notified within five days of shipping.
