The learning strategies are developed systematically. This book provides pictures in each unit, the picture is used to help the student in understanding what they will learn. The illustrations and the layout of this book are very colorful. For young learners, this book may be very attractive. The illustrations given are decorative and useful. The students will learn new language items easily by means of those illustrations. Authentic materials and language are included in this book. In some examples, the language is even used naturally. The components offers in this course are books, tests, and flashcards. This book provides a teachers guide easy to understand and to follow. But, this book doesnt provide interleave page from the pupils book. From the illustration and examples of the language use, there is no socio-cultural context represented in the materials. But, there are some values that can be learned, such as how to speak politely.

Foe each unit, this book doesnt provide L1 translation within the unit, but the L1 translation is provided on glossary section in the end of the book.. How are the different skills treated? The activities are designed to integrate students four skills. To illustrate, the listening skill is integrated to speaking skill and reading skill is integrated to writing skill. How much variety of activity is there? Beside exercises, there are some various supporting activities given in each unit. There are singing a song, picture story, matching pictures with words, drawing pictures, playing flashcards and so on. How much does the course cost? General Comment Overall, this book is appropriate for the target (fifth grade of elementary school). The appearance of this book is very attractive with the color picture as the illustration. It can help the students to attract their motivation to the subject. It can also help the students to understand the course easily. The activities of the course are very creative. And the activities of the course provide the teacher to integrate the students four skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) However, there are some points in this course need to concern. The main point is the assessment. I think the assessment of the book is not enough. The book only provide a few of assessment. the book does not provide the summative assessment for each unit. Whereas the summative assessment is very useful in making summary how far the students achieve the goal in each unit.
