APPENDIX 1
For the application of statistical tools you are required to refer Research Methodology Book. Assumptions: Sometimes it is possible to make assumptions regarding such data in such a way that they do not affect the quality of the project seriously. All such assumptions should be visualized and stated. For eg: in a project involving the projection of future cash flows of a firm the assumption generally made is that level of increase in both the cost and revenues will be the same, and effect of changes in prices are ignored. Analytical Techniques: The description of analytical technique should contain the method followed for classifying and analyzing the data collected and tests applied for obtaining conclusions from the data .We strongly advise all the students planning to undertake projects involving analysis of empirical data to base their conclusions on statistical tests of significance Limitations: The non-availability of data or the assumptions made or given the assumptions on which the analysis is based may affect the accuracy of the conclusions drawn from the project. The extend of their effect on the conclusions or in other words the limitation subject to which the conclusion should be read have to be identified and stated clearly Conclusion: The possible conclusions that may emerge from the project should be indicated. Note : You are also directed to discuss with your internal guide and Ms. Elma Joseph, Assistant Professor, School of Management for guidance in the application of statistical tools and using SPSS software.
