Project Title: Optimization of Supply Chain and Inventory for WHIRLPOOL India Ltd.
Project Brief: Kosi plast is a Single source supplier for Whirlpool. In the month of April, Kosi plasts factory, which was located near Whirlpools plant, underwent a major destruction due to fire .Hence Kosi Plast started supplying material from Alibaug plant which was 7 Hrs by road away from Whirlpool manufacturing plant. Due to such long distance, inventory was required to build up from 2 hrs to 2 days. ActionSuggested hiring a warehouse, drawing makeshift layouts for the storage of Inventory, modified their existing KANBAN iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiissystem and implemented it.

Achievement- Reduced the ICC (Inventory carrying cost) by 67%.
