Mark has led projects for a number of international clientele including Nokia, MasterCard, Fenton and the Nike Foundation. Locally hes worked with the Kenya Wildlife Service and IRIN News. His work includes new media strategy, influencer campaigns and speaking/training work. Regionally, he also headhunts digital and new media talent.

(May - June 2010) Creative Consultant, +One, King James Group, Cape Town (South Africa)
Having recently formed their dedicated Social Media and Engagement Marketing Division within The King James Group, +one (now known as Society), Mark conceptualized and executed creative material and activations including work for Johnny Walker Africa, Kulula.com and Sanlam.

(March 2010 May 2010) Digital Lead, Building Bridges Project @ Media Focus on Africa (Kenya)
Mark devised and executed a digital media strategy that complemented their existing multi-media approach using SMS, Mobile, Web and Social Media to reach out to Peace Initiatives and individuals across Kenya to create an interactive map of peacemakers using award-winning open-source tool Ushahidi.

(January 2009 - May 2010) Copywriter & Digital Marketing Evangelist, Brainwave Communications (Kenya)
Marks work earned him the trust and leadership within the creative department at Brainwave in creating and developing concepts and strategy for clients. Mark managed successful projects through from briefing stage to execution. Pan-African clientiele included Bidco Oil Refineries, AirKenya, Pan Africa Life, CfC Life among other blue-chip and medium sized enterprises.

(January December 2008) Writer & Lead Creative Consultant, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (USA/Kenya)
Mark successfully conceptualized and co-wrote Pamoja Mtaani (Swahili Together in the Hood) for Warner Brothers in their award-winning first African Videogame Project. He was involved in developing and overseeing story and character development, sourcing creative material and translation. The videogame has been hailed as a breakthrough in social communication to young people in Africa.

(June - July 2008) Writer & Creative Consultant for Animated Short Films, Warner Bros. Animation (USA)
Mark successfully led and worked alongside a pair of writers in Los Angeles to develop scripts for 5 Animated Short Films for Pamoja Mtaani. He worked alongside celebrated Animation Director Chris Bailey; the films were meant for marketing via matatus (Minivan taxis in Nairobi) and mobile phones.
