ALICE IN BANKRUPTCY LAND

Nowadays the population of the world is so different than it used to be 20 year ago in terms of economy and life style. Today, the middle class around the world represents a big percentage of the poor society. In fact, what was possible and easy to achieve before, it is now a dream almost impossible to reach. In that way, the economic crisis in the world affects every single home in terms of education opportunities, stable jobs and quiet life.

To begin with, the economic crisis does not allow people to have access to a good education in a professional university. For instance, young people have to give up their dreams of gaining knowledge through a proper education, and have to start working since they are teenagers. In that way, poverty around the world blocks the dream of building a better society because it is only possible through education that the world can reach it. Moreover, the poor action of the governments against the lack of education opportunities is evident when you see that they just try to solve the problem through the creation of informal institutions, which do not offer what people really need. Besides and according to the historical world context of the superior education law, the public universities in the undeveloped countries are being privatized due to the capitalist program which thinks that 1 thousand millions of students should become in 1 thousand millions of clients. In that way, it is obvious that in some years things will be even worse.

Secondly, this business world in which everybody lives has changed seriously peoples security of having stable jobs. To illustrate, globalization has forced companies to acquire technology in big quantity which has replaced the role of the men in the working field. In the same way and taking into account the fact that technology represents an enormous investment of money, the small companies are not able to compete with the biggest ones. As a result, thousands of employees are fired every year which represents for the world more poverty, more hunger and more violence. In addition, as there are not studying opportunities, there are not working opportunities and that is why people have to accept detrimental jobs such as prostitution, drugs seller and some others, which attempt against their moral principles, in order to obtain resources to survive.

Finally, quietness, happiness and freedom are conditions of humans lives which are being stolen throughout the time by the economic system. For example, it is very common to find that governments and powerful people around the world are more interested in the economic crisis of the banks than in the extreme human conditions in which some people live. To complement, the Nobel Alternatives Economies Prize Manfred Max-Neef (2009), said that in that year the major world powers invested 17 trillion dollars in the recovering of the banks economic crisis. On the other hand, the same powers invested just 1.600 million dollars in the programs which try to abolish hunger around the world. The Nobel also said that 17 trillion dollars would eradicate hunger from the world for 600 years. Furthermore, it is evident that people do not have the same life style and quietness that they used to have some years ago. Nowadays, people owe money to everybody which forces them to work really hard every day in order to pay for what was free before. As a consequence, people cannot travel, cannot have free and relax time, cannot give to their kids a proper education and as a result cannot be happy nor quiet.

In conclusion, the economic crisis around the world affects seriously the way in which people live and perceive the world. Today, almost everybody knows that capitalism controls the world and that people work for the economy. Unfortunately, the world is bound to collision and things, no doubt, will be even harder than now because of the growing selfish and competitive system. People should realize and learn that they have the power to change the future and to fight against inequality and inhuman conditions. It is time to open your eyes, to turn off the TV and to start doing something really helpful for this society.
