Farewell Camp

Date: 22nd and 23rd June 2012 Time: 0715-1700 (for both days) Venue: School (the AMK site) Assemble at the Forum Attire: 22nd June Full Guides Uniform for all levels 23rd June Camp Olympus tee and school PE shorts with belt and 3 items For those who dont have the Camp Olympus tee, you can wear any other camp tee from past years and sms Shi Hui for those in coy 1, Samantha for those in coy 2 and Jillian for those in coy 3 for permission to do so.

Additional Preparation
Due to a lack of time, additional and background homework for the camp and the activities of the camp will have to be done beforehand. Enrolment will be on the 22nd of June, right after falling in. - Procedure and ceremony - Attached below are information on how the ceremony will be carried out - PLs, PSes and especially sec ones please read through it and know what and hw things are to be done that day. - Please clarify with the CLs if unsure.

- There will be a short patrol bonding and potluck session after enrolment. - Patrols will be split into groups of three, namely 1.Flowerpecker, Sunflower and Sparrow 2.Kingfisher, Hibiscus and Dove 3. Mynah, Jasmine and Orchid 4. Oriole, Ixora and Morning Glory 5.Swallow and Bougain Villea - Hence each group will bring one food item that is enough for the whole company each. - No chips, sweets, or snacks of any kind - Food items like salad, finger sized sandwiches, finger food (nuggets, seaweed chicken, etc), and pastries are encouraged. - Check with other groups to avoid bringing the same item. - Please notify Samantha of your food item by 12 pm, Saturday (16 June). There will be a session of outdoor cooking which will be an International Outdoor Cooking Cuisine Competition. - There will be 3 categories of cuisine namely, Thai, Indian and Malay. - Patrols will be split into groups and will hence follow the groupings for allocation of kitchen shelter and cayegories of cuisine - Kitchen Shelter 1 and Thai: Dove, flowerpecker, kingfisher, Jasmine, Bougain Villea - Kitchen Shetlter 2 and Indian: Mynah, sunflower, Oriole, hibiscus - Kitchen Shelter 3 and Malay: Ixora, Orchid, swallow, sparrow, Morning Glory - Each patrol will produce a dish according to their assigned cuisines each. - Hence, please make the necessary preparation by sourcing for relevant recipes and ingredients. - Please cap your expenses at $12 per patrol and claim your expenses from Ms Lim on the 22nd. - Patrols can choose to cook their food by either zinc sheet or changkul or both. - Please notify Jillian of your dish by 12 pm, Saturday (16 June). There will be internal campfire hence patrols will have to put up patrol items. - Patrols can pair up and put up a combined patrol item. - Patrol item need not have to follow any theme. - Please prepare majority of your patrol items beforehand as little time will be given for patrols to prepare for their items.

- Please sms Shi Hui of your pairings and patrol item by 12 pm Saturday (16 June). Items to bring First Day: - Enrolment gifts - Food item for potluck (one group each ) - PT Shirt and PE Shorts ( worn with belt and 3 items ) - Wood for outdoor cooking ( punk, kindlings, twigs ) - A box of matchsticks ( one patrol each ) - Meal bag - Ingredients for outdoor cooking - Receipt for claim to be made Second Day: - Props and or extra material for patrol item - * For the sec three COH, materials for guides own - Props and or extra materials for farewell performance - Farewell gifts
