Presently working as HSE Engineer since one year STERLING INDUSTRIS, CHENNAI, INDIA. Duties and responsibilities Ensure Hazard analysis and Risk assessment are being implemented and related control measures are in place. Giving safety induction to all newly joined employees prior to their introduction to site and ensuring all workers are conversant with the standard procedures associated. Ensure all the equipments, tools, materials are inspected and certified prior to their introduction to projects and maintaining related records. Ensure the competency and compliance by inspection of Cranes and lifting tackles, electrically powered tools, extension cords, slings and chains, safety harness, scaffolds, ladders, pressure gauges, pneumatic hose and tools, etc.
Ensure all safety precautions are completed and checked prior to routine or non-routine

maintenance in the plant. Activities such as welding and crane operation. Creating awareness to the employee by conducting toolbox talk and weekly HSE meeting. Periodical internal inspection of plant for identifying the unsafe act and unsafe conditions

From March 2005 to March 2011 working as a safety officer in STERLING INDUSTRIS, CHENNAI, INDIA. From SEPTEMBER 2003 to FEBRUARY 05 worked as a safety officer at ALYAMAMA in their maintenance project at MINISTRY OF DEFENCE AND AVIATION. Responsibilities:
Monitoring and managing daily HSE Practices, Regular inspection of sites and ensuring

companys safety Policies are being adhered to. Drafting safety policies, HSE plans and preparation of safe working methods. P.P.E. Hand tool, mechanical tools and ware house inspections.
Coordination with third party authority in order to get certification for lifting equipments,

gears and keeping the records. Participate as a member of an emergency team.


Investigate all incidents/accidents involving personnel, plant and equipment including

dangerous occurrences. Analyzes causes and advise remedial action. Conduct Safety trainings. Inspection of all kind of activities on work site.

From AUGUST 2000 to AUGUST 2003 worked as FIRE WARDEN at ALYAMAMA in their maintenance project at MINISTRY OF DEFENCE AND AVIATION. Responsibilities: Identify the fire hazards and try to eliminate those hazards from work site Inspection of fire alarm system and fire fighting equipments Inspection of all fire exits and to make sure there are no obstructions To make sure all the fire fighting equipments and fire alarms systems are in good condition and not blocked In case of emergency assist people to evacuate from work site to assembly area To make sure all the electrical equipments are switched off and all windows and doors are securely closed after evacuation of all personnel Try to extinguish fire if possible to do so Conduct head count of personnel at assembly point From JUNE 1994 to JULY 2000 worked as a Marketing Executive at THEE FIRE EQUIPMENTS, TRICHY ,INDIA.
