F-CON iS TYPE-IG was newly developed for vehicles, which stock ECU integrate igniter (or called as Power Transistor). F-CON iS uses a signal from stock ECU to igniter on the vehicle. Then, the input signal is corrected by data of inside map and the corrected data is output to the igniter for ignition control. However, in case stock ECU integrates igniter, F-CON iS cannot get the signal for ignition control. Therefore, normal F-CON iS cannot be used for such vehicles. F-CON iS TYPE-IG was developed for vehicles, which ECU have igniter inside. With the new lineup of F-CON iS TYPE-IG, now, F-CON can be used for wider range of vehicles. - As it is only for igniter integrated ECU, if it is used for other vehicles, ECU, igniter or F-CON can be damaged. Please make sure the application. (Discrimination label is on the side of F-CON unit.) - For installation, vehicle specified harnesses are not available for most of vehicles. Modify harnesses for other vehicles or use a universal harness. - Installation of igniter (sold separately) is required. * Application (Example) - MAZDA ATENZA (2002/4 2005/5) - BMW MINI Cooper S (With supercharger. Not for the latest model with direct injection engine and turbocharger.) Etc. - Harness modification instruction can be prepared. Ask HKS for application. (Service manual, Harness manual and ECU Pinout are required for application check.)

F-CON iS can control latest advanced engines. Connected to stock ECU with vehicle specified harnesses without modification. It's a piggy-back ECU for Fuel and Ignition management as well as new features.
Functions for fuel and ignition controls are inherited from the previous model F-CON SZ. In addition to it, function to collect OBD II diagnosis data was added for correction of setting due to stock close-loop correction values when intake/exhaust parts are upgraded or boost level setting is changed.

Functions of F-CON iS 2
A/T Shift Up, Shift Down Ignition Compensation To prevent knocking of vehicles with automatic transmission during shift up at high load or shift down for acceleration, engine rpm difference and throttle position is kept and ignition timing is retarded for a certain period. Air Flow (Intake Air Volume sensor) Conversion Function Air flow meter signal input can be converted with 16x24 map with Air Flow Input value and RPM axis. When characteristics of air flow meter output is changed from stock condition, air flow meter signal can be corrected. NVCS Control Function * Solenoid of Nissan NVCS (Nissan Valve Control System) can be controlled with F-CON iS with RPM + Water Temperature condition. (Get advice from PowerWriter shops.)

Other Functions
AIC Function Up to 2 additional injectors can be controlled. Remarks : Injectors are required separately. Immobilizer Function When ignition is turned on, if switch is not at setting value, engine will not start. Remarks : Mixture Controller is required separately. EIDS Function When throttle is closed, intake air returns to air flow meter and it affects to air flow meter voltage. The voltage can be fixed to a certain voltage to prevent engine stall. Remarks : SQV is required separately. OSC It enables Fuel setting for Stock close-loop area. (Setting at PowerWriter shops is required.)
