Choir Camp 2011 Ice breakers ( 40 mins +/-) 5 Mins of Intro: Name Age Class Primary school(?

ol(?) Game 1: BALLOON GAME Materials: Rubberband and Balloons enough for all Total time: 15 minutes Motive: Just to warm up the whole choir together Intructions: 1. Everyone is given one balloon and is to blow it as big as possible within 3 minutes. 2. The balloons are then tied to their legs. 3. Everyone goes around trying to step on each others balloons (7 minutes) 4. The group with the most number of members with their balloons still un burst wins Game 2: I-dont-know-the-title-but-i-call-it-BANG! Materials needed: N.O.N.E Total time: 6 minutes Motive: Get to know each others names Instructions: 1. Group is to stand in a circle, try having people they dont know like one person away. 2. Appoint someone to be the first shooter. The shooter then Bangs someone within the circle. Anyone! 3. The person who gets shot must then squat down while the two people on the person-whogot-shots side must point a gun at each other and call each others name. The one who is slower must then sit down aka. Becomes the second winner. 4. The person who got shot then becomes the next shooter and shoots. Etc! 5. The last two people standing face each other back to back, and someone will go One, two, three, go! and at the signal of Go, they are to turn around and spell each others names.

Game 3: TOILET ROLL GAME! Materials needed: TOILET ROLL! Preferably one per group. Total time: 7 Minutes(?) Not too long or itll be draggy Motive: To know more deeply about each other Instructions: 1. Ask everyone in the group to grab some toilet paper, at least 5 pieces per person. Try to use up all the toilet paper per group. 2. After everyone in the group takes the amount of toilet paper they want, ask them to say one fact about themselves for every piece they have. ( 5 pieces= 5 facts) Or to do a forfeit if they cant finish up. 3. Make sure that it goes in a circle, such that one person says one fact at a time so as to ensure that everyone has a go. 4. Time limit: I need to know the overall schedule first/ time allocated for ice breakers.

Game 4: THIS IS A WHAAAAT? Materials needed: 9 items (1 syllable eg. Cup, pen, star) in a bag per group. Suggested materials: Cup Pen Ring Clip Cap (bottle cap) Nail ( hammer and nail kinda nail) Sweet Card Bead I actually think I can provide about all the materials so we can cut down on our expenses. Total time: 7 minutes? Motive: Just to warm up and shout. Instructions: 1. Get the whole group to stand in one line, with the bag of items with the first person. 2. The first person picks up the first item and at the count of go, chant This is a (what the person has in their hand). (looks to next person) A what? ( looks to person before/ empty space (for the first person)) A ______ (looks to next person) A What?

So basically there will be a unison sound when everyone in the group goes A what?, This is a, and Oh its a. Its quite hard to catch at first but thats the fun part. Itll be super cool once everyone can do it together. I think Ill teach you guys and well do a demo!
