(Feature Pitch) May 31, 2012 Editor: Sue Hinz University of Idaho
Steve: In the Theatre Department in Shoup Hall at the University of Idaho, there is a room that is full of past plays from the beginning of the program to present. The room includes props, scripts, playbills and a variety of other items that describe each and every play that has been performed at the Hartung Theatre. She said that there is access to the room to write a feature story about it. The room is special to the department because it relates to the history of the department and therefore a connection with the local community and students of the University of Idaho. Since the beginning of the program, the department has grown and matured by each play. This could be because of an expansion in the budget, or how modern culture affects the selection of what plays are performed. Idaho Repertory Theatre currently under construction to provide a safe new rigging system for the theatre participants.
The inside of the Idaho Repertory Theatre is ornately beautiful and consists of designs from 17th century French architecture and was inspired by the original Grand Opera Theatre in Paris, France.
The Idaho Repertory Theatre is made up of 3 layers including Orchestra (lower level), Mezzanine (middle level), and a Balcony (upper level). Built in 1929, the Idaho Repertory Theatre holds up to 2,311 patrons.

Unfortunately, due to the construction previously mentioned, the IRT will only be performing one play, Mirror Circle Transformation. However, all of our other programs, including IRT youth, will continue their normal schedule. We will be in full swing for next years 2013 season.
Dear Editor, I would like to address the lack of warning in your review on the IRTs production of Shakespeares Romeo & Juliet. I was not aware that it would be so suggestive and graphically tragic. I attended the play this past weekend with my young children and to my embarrassment had to explain what was going. Next time, please address all aspect of the play so that people who are not familiar with the play will be prepared for any obscene content. Thank you very much.

WORK HISTORY Wild Cat Conservation, Inc., Kingsville, TX May 2007- October 2012 Secretary, Graduate Student Assistant, Writer, Editor - My job was to prepare and organize field kits (camera traps, batteries, memory chips and data sheets) for the graduate students to use in the field. When they were returned, I downloaded and cataloged the pictures on the memory chips. I helped sort through thousands of pictures and categorized them into folders according to the species of animal that was in them. I helped gather and prepare photos, videos and literature for the presentations used in meetings, schools and the general public. I also attended seminars and webinars to learn more about researching and writing grant proposals. Welder Wildlife Refuge, Sinton, TX May-August 2005 & May-August 2006 Cataloging Species, Graduate Student Assistant, Activity Aide, and Library Assistant - My main job was to take care of, clean and catalog their extensive bird collection. I transferred years of data from handwritten books to a digital catalog. I was also in charge of changing the pesticide strips and dessicant crystals every few days. My other tasks included assisting visiting graduate students with their projects (i.e. counting/releasing species and carrying/handing them equipment), assisting staff and graduate students with educational programs for the visiting public and summer camps by gathering props, setting up presentations and hands-on activities, as well as chauffeuring the visitors. I also helped with the library cataloging system by looking for requested literature and putting them away when they were returned. H.M. King High School, Kingsville, TX August 2005-May 2006 Library Assistant - I was in charge of checking out library books to students and faculty as well as putting away returned books. My duties also included keeping the library and computer area neatly organized and put away. Animal Medical Clinic, Kingsville, TX July-August 2001 Volunteer Assistant - I assisted with the transferring of animals from their kennels to the exam room, grooming area or waiting room. I was also in charge of cleaning kennels, walking dogs, feeding animals, keeping track of boarding tenants, and bathing animals in preparation for grooming.
