Schedule B Are My Veggies Ripe? Well teach you how to know if your vegetables are ready for harvest. Food Preservation A CSU Food Safety Advisor will teach you how to put up your bountiful harvest. Canning and Freezing techniques will be emphasized.

A full day of education for beginning or intermediate gardeners who want to learn to tend and extend their gardens in the Fall.

Choose between these two schedules in the morning (9 AM to Noon)

Fall Garden Tasks Learn how to put your garden to bed for the Winter and get a jump start in the Spring. Topics include green manure, garden sanitation, fall amendment application and tool care. Insects and Diseases An overview of the most common pest and disease problems in Colorado vegetable gardens. How to prevent them and how to safely treat them if you have them. Lessons From the Demo Garden See whats happening in Jeerson Countys horticultural demonstration garden. Get tips on vertical gardening, container vegetables, growing blueberries, and season extenders. See the results of vegetable trials for Colorado.

And attend these three classes in the afternoon (12:30 TO 3:30 PM)
