Smart devices are a boon and a bane for communication service providers (CSPs). They offer rich opportunities and account for much of the industrys growth but they pose great challenges for CSPs hard-pressed to meet skyrocketing demand. On top of the ever increasing laptop user traffic, smart devices generate unprecedented levels of data coupled with hugely increased mobility, forcing CSPs to cope with surging traffic and spiking subscriber demand by deploying added resources, such as carriers and new base stations.
intelligent solution to handle data traffic growth. Called the High-Performance Site Solution or HPSS for short, it is engineered to improve GSM, WCDMA, and LTE network performance, treating subscribers to true broadband and a high-end mobile experience.
But these options are not always available, financially feasible, or even practical. Conventional approaches failed to extend both capacity and coverage at the same time, so past attempts to improve performance involved a trade-off between the two.
Technical data Radio technologies Installations options GSM, EDGE, WCDMA, HSPA, I-HSPA, LTE Modular base station for indoor and outdoor installation; floor, wall, pole, mast mountable; supports distributed and feeder-less site setups High-Performance site solution is geared to support multiple bands, for example: 850, 900, 1800, 1900, 1700/2100, 2100, and 2600 MHz.
