Application modules such as IP Messaging, IP Conferencing, Presence and IP Contact Center that work with VCX and NBX platforms can be ordered separately. Base V3000 Analog and V3000 BRI systems support up to 250 devices and can be expanded to scale up to 1,500 devices with additional memory and separately ordered device licenses.

VCX software can be distributed across multiple servers to form a single IP telephony system potentially able to support tens of thousands of devices per system. NBX PSTN connectivity is supported by the appropriate optional cards in NBX chassis; VCX PSTN connectivity is supported through standalone gateway modules.
