From the above figures, it can be deduced that in the case of Suspended type of facade, all the floors present are to be considered as middle and therefore only the kits regarding the middle floors are applied. For facades of the Set (flush) type, the highest floor is the top floor while the lowest floor is the bottom floor, and the relative kits are applied. The other types of facade involve mixed type.

Press the Next button to continue creation of the facade (curtain wall). Press the Close button, the system quits the wizard immediately. The parameters required for continuing in the wizard are the height, number of vertical modules, Z1 and Z2.
13
M is the distance between centre-lines of two consecutive mullions. The user has the possibility of choosing whether to enter the value of L by selecting relative option (initial default condition) or else to enter the value of M by selecting the corresponding option.
Figure 15
As in the case of the previous screen, likewise here different figures appear when selecting the type and the parameters assume a different meaning.

Figure 22
When creating a facade or curtain wall with 5 sides or with arcs, the selection between mullions and separating rails for oblique/arched pieces appears at the bottom left. The Exclude option, available only for right/left mullions and top/bottom separating rails, allows excluding such items from the final cutting list. However the above items must be selected.
Figure 23
If the Mullion option is selected, the selection buttons for the right mullion and top separating rail are disabled; the code of the left mullion is always used for these two items. Furthermore the contact between the top items and the mullions will be constructed as follows:
20
Figure 24 When, instead, the Separating rail option is selected, the selection button for the right separating rail is disabled and the code for the left mullion is used for this item. The contact between the top items and the mullions will be constructed as follows:
Figure 25 When the Assign button is pressed, the following screen appears. All compound codes using Mullion (if defining a mullion) or using Separating rail (in the case of separating rails) will be present. The description containing the list of component codes will be displayed for each compound.
21
Figure 26
When the option Show all mullions or separating rails is selected, the list of profiles also shows the ones which have used mullion and Component (or else Separating Rail and Component). When the Proprieties button is pressed, a screen is opened containing the composition of compound profiles with information regarding the compound profile selected. For further information, see chapter Composition of compound profiles.
Figure 27
22
The part Search for components allows the user to check for the existence of profiles whose components are those selected in the lists. Upon selecting the components, the list of compound profiles is filtered thus showing only those making it up. The list of mullion components consists of all the profiles of the series selected in the top left list, which have, as applications, Mullion (or Separating rail) and Component. When assigning mullions and inputting a value corresponding to wind pressure Q, certain codes could appear in red to warn the user that their application is not recommended (with reference to the JX value entered for each mullion). The Floor button allows selecting the height value to be considered when calculating macros and the type of support for calculation of the moment of inertia.
Figure 28
If the type with 2 Supports is selected, the list is compiled with all the heights between the floors. When one of these values is selected, the relative interval is highlighted.
23
Figure 29
If the type with 3 Supports is selected, the list is compiled with the heights obtained by the three supports. When one of these values is selected, the relative interval is highlighted. Selection of the type with 3 Supports is disabled if there are less than 3 floors present. The list of spacers consists of all profiles having applications involving Spacer and Component. When a value is entered for Glass thickness, the list of spacers is filtered and only shows those whose glass thickness range contains the required value. The list of pressure plates consists of all profiles having applications involving Pressure plate and Component. The list of cover plates consists of all profiles having applications involving Cover plate and Component. After selecting the components, press the Composition button to access the screen Composition of compound profiles where the list is compiled automatically with the profiles selected and the master profile is preset if a Mullion or Separating Rail is identified between the components. Hence it is possible to complete the generation of the compound profile and after assigning a name to the new compound profile, it can be found again when returning to the previous screen. After selecting all the compound profiles, the Next button is enabled in the Profile Definition screen and on pressing this button, the system passes onto the next screen of the facade wizard. Press the Back button to return to the facade grid. Press the window closing icon to quit the facade wizard.

Figure 30
These dimensions are repeated for the three types of mullions and they can also be modified in manual mode. The manual machining dimensions are modified automatically for the other components (spacer, pressure plate and cover plate) according to the parameters preset in Facade parameters. If you do not wish to perform the manual machining operations, preset a formula, by selecting the Formula option which enables the controls allowing the formula to be set. Press End to proceed to the actual construction of the facade (curtain wall). Press Back to return to the Profile definition screen. Press the window closing icon to quit the facade wizard.
25
After creating the facade or curtain wall, proceed to enter all the missing items.

Figure 32
The facade is created as described in the previous chapter, the only difference being that dimensions L and H cannot be modified. The following tools can be used to input an opening: 4-sided opening with right-angled corners Polygonal opening, free hand (only 4- or 5-sided polygon but with lower side parallel to the ground) Opening from model (only certain models are allowed from the facades; if an invalid one is selected, the message PRM not usable by facade wizard appears

4. Modification of a facade
Figure 33
When modifying a facade (curtain wall), proceed to call the facade wizard, with all the previously preset parameters already entered. All the parameters can be modified, but if the L or H dimensions of an arched or 5-sided facade are modified, the changing of one of these parameters causes automatic modification also of the other. If the number of vertical and/or horizontal modules is modified, or if a piece of the facade is deleted or a whole dimension inside the facade grid, it will not be possible to enter the added items automatically. The facade wizard should also be called when modifying a style inserted in a job. Manual replacement of a profile selected in the facade wizard is also possible through Profile definition. If it is a mullion, check whether the new profile has the same chamber as the original one and that all machining operations present on the original profile are transferred to the final one. If, instead, the profile code of a separating rail is to be replaced, besides making sure that the new code has the same chamber, also check whether the original profile has components which must not be split; if there are any, they should also be present in the new code selected.

After selecting all the codes, the Composition screen appears as follows:
Figure 36
When one of the components is selected, proceed to determine which component is to be considered as the Master profile. Such setting is important both for enabling the joints and for management of multi-joints which, in this way, only take the Master profile into account, and not the entire compound profile, thus appreciably reducing the number of multi-joints to be created by the user.

The profiles are already aligned to the centre-line while they can be moved horizontally by dragging. If a snap point is selected (highlighted by a blue point), by holding down the left mouse button, and dragging it towards another profile, when it approaches another snap point, the latter is highlighted with a red point. On releasing the left mouse button, the two profiles are joined automatically in the selected points. The profiles can also be moved by using the tools on the top bar.

Figure 39
When, after positioning the profiles, the Exit button is pressed, a request appears to save the compound profile and a name containing a progressive number is proposed automatically. After selecting the name, the screen Presetting shape and applications appears, then a dimensioning tool should be selected to modify the default dimensions. After quitting the Editor, the system returns to Profile Editing whose status bar gives the name of the newly created compound profile. To modify the list of compound profiles, insert offset values WN/WN.
