Choreographer, Capital Fringe Festival, Washington DC, 2011 Choreographed theatrical movement for A Day at the Museum, a 40-minute wordless performance set to music. Acted as consultant to director for physical character development among sevenmember cast. Creator/Performer, Arts Alive Theatre, Silver Spring, MD, 2010 2011 Created and staged The Race, an autobiographical solo play incorporating original music and movement, and exploring a white mans awareness of race and racism. Composed original music for piano and voice, choreographed dance, and designed and created sound recordings for several commercial-style skits. Co-Founder and Co-Director, Old Lore Theater, Silver Spring, MD, 2008 Present Staged Annabel Lee and Fiddler Ghost, voted Best Dance of the Capital Fringe Festivals Pick of the Fringe in 2009 and 2008, respectively; original, multidisciplinary adaptations of classic tales created with elements of music, dance, and physical storytelling. Composed and performed original music for voice and guitar, designed choreography, and led seven-member ensembles in a collaborative process that was founded on the reinvention of traditional forms. Trained ensemble in Suzuki and Viewpoints acting methods. Composer and Music Director, Dog and Pony DC, Washington, DC, 2008 2010 Composed nine original songs for Mother Courage and Her Children as part of Brechtianstyle production. Recruited and led six-piece instrumental ensemble (guitar, bass, drums, accordion, fiddle, mandolin) to create musical soundtrack. Trained eleven-member chorus for performance using both traditional choral directing methods as well as structured improvisation to create original vocal compositions. Director, Music Director and Composer, Classika Theater, Arlington, VA, 2007 2008 Directed Galactika in collaboration with NASAs Education and Outreach Program, designed to educate young audiences about the solar system, and also performed as part of the 2008 Smithsonian Folklife Festival. Composed and directed original soundtrack for The Bremen Musicians, a five-person a cappella musical adaptation of the Grimms tale. Director, Windhorse Theater, Naropa University, Boulder, CO, Spring 2005 Fundraised, directed, and composed original soundtrack for Everything That Breathes, Winner of 2005 Student Produced Open Theater Award, an original play based on a Serbian folktale and designed as a community production which involved over 50 volunteers from departments including set, costume, videography, puppetry, sound, light and music. Authored a thesis project entitled Efficacy in the Process of Creating Community Theater based on the creation of this work. Conducted a community childrens chorus with instrumental ensemble and created choreography for actor/dancer ensemble.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE Acting Instructor, Montgomery College, Silver Spring, MD, Summer 2010 Taught Fundamentals of Acting to community college students, integrating techniques of Adler, Checkov, Grotowski and Bogart. Arranged viewing of live performance and post-show moderated discussion between students and professional actors. Integrated online forum, managed online grading system. Choral Director, Drama and Dance Instructor, Montgomery County Public Schools, MD, 2007 2012 Directed, conducted, choreographed 150 member school musical. Founded and direct choral program for students grade 6 8, including recruiting and preparing students for concerts, special events and competitions. Viewpoints and Suzuki Acting Instructor, Actor Kitchen, Roundhouse Theater Lab Silver Spring, MD, 2007 2008 Instructed Viewpoints and Suzuki acting techniques seminar for professional and semiprofessional performers as part of The Kitchen, Roundhouses theater lab. Co-facilitated weekly improvisation sessions toward the cultivation of receptivity and response to the elements of Space, Shape, Time, Emotion, Story and Movement.
