Dear Ladies and Gentlemen: members of the university administration, faculty, and dear students!

It is a great pleasure for me to greet a pleasant morning to all of you. First of all, let me introduce myself. I am Maria Kristina Cassanda Evora, who was chosen to be the representative speaker of our beloved university, Batangas State University under College of Teacher Education in the celebration of this wonderful and inspirational event which has the theme of Empowering the Minds of Education Students for a Brighter Tomorrow. I believe that from the time that we are born, we already given a unique set of talents and gifts to share to the world. And this talents and gifts will be helping us to achieve our goals and dreams in life that you dear students will be able to have for your brighter tomorrow. For me, the best way on how we can achieve this is to have our proper education. It is simply through education it has a sense of any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character, or physical ability of an individual. It has its technical sense, by which deliberately transmits the accumulated knowledge, skills, and values from one generation to another. It can help us also in the process of becoming an educated person. Being educator students you have now the access to optimal states of mind regardless of the situation you are in. You are able to perceive accurately, think clearly and act effectively to achieve self-selected goals and aspirations in life. Being future educators, you can makes people noble by helping them to attain intellectual, physical, spiritual and emotional progress. Through helping them, we can say that we already a part of those person to live in a happier life. Due to the fact that specific skills are often needed to work in the modern world, living comfortably becomes difficult for people without education. Education has an immense impact on the human society. One can safely assume that a person is not in the proper sense till he is educated. Through good teaching, you future educators should be able to not only motivate your student to learn, but also teach them how to learn in a manner that is relevant, meaningful, and memorable. In any case, the goal is to establish a sound knowledge base and skill set on which students will be able to build as they are exposed to different life experiences. One, two or three years more, you dear students will becoming good teachers as well who can translate information, good judgment, experience and wisdom into relevant knowledge that a student can understand, retain and pass to others.
